  • This week my Island Packet 320, Southern Star is still in the boat yard. Boat Yard work is the worst! A few of the Boat Yard Repairs we accomplished are: installing a Boat Thru Hull, replacing boat hoses, sand bottom paint off a boat, repair and sand the gel coat on the hull, repair gelcoat on a vertical surface, painting boot stripe sailboat, buff and wax the hull, remove the graphics, and much more!
At the End of the Video I will have 3 Bonus Boating Tips to survive Hauling Your Boat Out!

That’s your opinion. This company has been in business for over 45 years. They know what they are doing

And by the way...if you go to 3M’s site 5200 IS recommended by the manufacturer for thru hulls..maybe educate yourself before posting negative comments

@@southernstar1367 I've been working on boats for 30 years. You're right, they do recommend it, but the problem is that its an adhesive, on a thruhull you want a sealant, an Adhesive is completely redundant Been down that road, Its no fun having to remove items bonded with 5200, it almost always leads to damage to the surrounding fiberglass.. On top of that its no better a sealant that 4200 or sikaflex. Lots of "pros" use 5200 but They also get paid to replace these things down the road so its w win/win for them...
Anyway Good luck with the rest of the work... IP's are nice boats. Does the 320 have the same chainplate issues as the earlier boats or is that in the era where those issues where resolved?
