- WATCH JULIEN BAM'S VIDEO HERE: • Amerikaner muss Deutsc...
Just an American trying to learn more about and Germany and the rest of Europe.
Today we're gonna check out My FIRST TIME On The German Autobahn to MEET Julien Bam Was WILD!! - Zábava
As a German, it's funny to see someone who is so scared and at the same time so enthusiastic about 230 km/h.. :D
got lucky they weren't overtaken by a diesel estate car😂
230 ist schon schnell, auch als deutscher. Die meisten Autos machen 200 max.
As a baby I would only sleep in the car when my dad drove with 200km/h+ 😂 and I still like it haha
That's the "ich geh kurz Brötchen holen" speed :D
@@zer0780 YES!! I also noticed that I get like calm and cozy when it's dark and I'm in the backseat in a car going 180kmh+... Like the movement and the sound is so familiar from when I was a kid and we were coming back from a vacation or something 😂
They say don’t be scared when a German drives using one hand, be scared when he starts using his second 😂🖖🏼
be scared when the polish guy leaves his Vodka home just in case
@@aRealAndHumanManThingahahaha
Bruhh..
🤣🤣
True 👍😂
As a German I just want to say.:You are the best ambassador for your country, better than any politician.
As an American living in Germany 44 year have been speaking German longer than 50 % of Germans population can 2nd it
Things Julien feeds to his guests:
- Mettbrötchen (which he doesn't like)
- Reiskuchen (which he dropped before)
- Knusperstange (which he admits have a lot of calories)
- Lebkuchen (which are crunchy because they are over the due date)

Don't forget that the driver's education in Germany is structured completely differently than in the US. Here there are special driving instructors. A theoretical part with over 1000 questions to learn. Highway driving is part of the training. In addition, there is a minimum amount of driving hours with the driving instrutor in order to be admitted to practical test.
You are not taught to drive 240 km/h in busy traffic and rain
@@judywe4941 It is called: adjusted speedlimit. If the circumstances okay and there are no speedlimit (Indicative speed always 130km/h when free) you can drive more than 130km/h also during education. You can also drive faster when it is busy or rainy. In case of accident you have minimum a partial guilt. So, the traffic fatalities are lower than in the US Our training could be not so bad.🤣 What in the US is 2nd amendment is here the speedlimit.🤭
Vielleicht weil man selbst Verantwortung übernehmen müsste.🤣🤣🤣

I love this. Videos like this make you appreciate the little things in your own country, that I didn't even notice anymore. (I wonder how many other people from Germany watch this to get in a better mood 😀 )

usually i wouldn't bring that up as a compliment, but this time i mean it as one, that James you are the embodiment of what people around the world would imagine an American to be and look like. Imo you embody almost all the good things about America and Americans, which is really rare these days i think. Very sympathetic.
This comment is so true 😊 James is great
THIS!!! is the combo I never knew I needed until I got it. I've been watching you for like 4 years bro and I always hoped for your to visit us (Germany). Finally!!
been watching some of your videos last year and just found out that you finally got to go to germany. it brings me so much joy to watch you experiencing all of this. i love that you also got to meet julien :)
Please remember, no matter how fast you’re going, there is always an Audi / Mercedes/ Volkswagen behind you trying to overtake on the autobahn.
And a Porsche behind them and a Ferrari, Bugatti or Lamborghini behind them :D

Bitte mach weiter so. Cool that you are enjoying yourself here in Germany. Always loved your reactions and streams. Cool to finaly have you here and seeing your reaction to some German stuff first hand.
In Germany the driving license training includes autobahn-training, so you get used to it from the beginning. I remember driving in australia really fucked me up cause theres only 100 km/h allowed and this messed me up so hard cause my whole time/distance thing was just disturbed and i thought i would never reach the goal :D anyways, i love you visiting Germany, so fun to watch

As a German this so funny to watch. 😂 We have it the other way around. When we go to another country we have to really be careful to stay within the limits even tho the highways are sometimes completely empty for many miles. I hope you’re having a great trip to Germany
One word: Swiss
@@peterschutzerd7238 oh yes its so annoying. In Italy you can at least ignore the speed limit, but in switzerland you will go bankrupt or to jail....
For me, as a German, it's crazy to see how abnormal it is for others, driving so fast is nothing new for me anymore, I'm sitting at the back with my cell phone at 200 and chilling, while others who aren't from Germany are freaking out and can't cope anymore 😂🤝🏽
I wouldn't freak out at 230 km/h like James did but my car only goes 190 max. and it doesn't accelerate that fast. So anything above 200 with a fast acceleration is abnormal for me.
Its the same abnormal way germans react, when they see regular people carrying a gun.

What an honour for Julien to be in your video
I am a german who had a similar experience with my american girlfriend back in 2005. She arrived in germany just a few days before we started dating. We went to Bremen to pick up her car from the ship. So I went on the Autobahn with her on the passenger seat and slammed the gaspaddle to the pan. She was screaming when the speedometer went over 150 km/h. Took us twice as long to get back to Mannheim the next day. Because she wanted to drive her american Ford Escort. She returned to the states. But I bet she gets tickets regulary now.
So Mel, if you read this: "STOP SCREAMING! Its normal!"
