There was so much wrong in that Christian guy's story: first of all, you're not getting into an ICU unless you're family or a health professional. Those are maintained as sterile environment. Second of all, if he's in a coma, he's not braindead, those are 2 separate things. Third of all, he wouldn't have his eyes "wide open" cause they would dry out, the health professionals would've made sure to get them closed and keep them that way. That guy is just a liar pushing a weird agenda for fake recognition of his imaginary friend for likes on Tik Tok... What a great Christian...
What bothers me is that he didn’t even have to make up a fake story if he really wanted to talk about his faith. It would have been enough to share a personal experience about how he found comfort or community or whatever else through his beliefs and I wouldn’t have had a problem with it. I’m not a religious person myself, though I respect that it does have a place and a benefit for many people. But where you lose me is when you either use your religious beliefs(or lack thereof) to be hateful toward others, or use fake or manipulative actions to try and force people to follow your specific religion. I’ve noticed the latter is particularly common among certain Christians, like the guy in the tiktok

To me faith is valid, people need to process the world and everything around them, and if faith helps them do that, more power to them. But the most basic mantra of any monotheist religion is: "Love each other". Religion is not and should never be a weapon. That's not faith, that's bigotry. And Jesus himself (to talk about the Christian faith that I know, though I'm sure the same is true in other religions) condemned bigots and people who valued their faith over other people. He was preaching for acceptance of the other, regardless of their background (prostitute, criminal, cripple, homeless, etc.) and even blessed a homosexual union between two men (that's in the Bible, folks).
Faith is not something to be forced onto someone, it's something that comes from within. It will never be genuine if it's forced.
