You can take as inspiration the Reward Chest System from Tibia. Which individual players loot is based on the quest or boss task.
I would say Tibia is a great game to take a look for some ideas, since is rpg, 2d and huge have multiplayer!

I played your game and it seems nice. I was lost at the beginning because I missed the beginning quest to obtain a weapon. But after dying I found it :D

Have you thought about economics, items, random rarity/stats for the game ? Buying selling and collecting rare items for profits are one of the main reasons people play mmo. In term of economy Albion online, Dofus and Rappelz are some of my favorite mmo

I encountered a problem right After killing the worm boss, the game Just keeps crashing making me lose all quests progress and making me restart the dungeon each time
Not sure. I just went and retested the dungeon and quest. You may have to make a big ticket on discord with the details

Why do I feel like the starter weapons have skills that are too cool to be for starter weapons.
When character turns around and looks paper thin it breaks immersion. I hope it's only a temporary solution, not a design choice.
It is a design choice. But there is an option that can be disabled in settings.
