It's been a while....but I'm back in my new kitchen giving you some of my most requested videos, starting with how to stack a tiered cake.
I bet you didn't realise how much DIY goes into something like this, but follow my step by step guide to ensure your cakes never collapse!
I would love to know what you think of the video. Like I mentioned, it's a new approach to filming (and my fridges love to rumble) but I would rather do this than not produce any videos for you..!

Yay! Glad you’re back. Used your older macaron video as reference when trying to make them for the first time! 🤗P.S. I don’t know what your audio setup is like but a lavalier mic (pretty cheap, clip to your collar and plug into your cam) is great at getting rid of some of that background white noise.

Do you have to use the central wooden dowel for a 6. 4" small cake? And are the boards under the cake cake boards or drums x

I have a question.. if doing a 5 tier cake (14”, 12”, 10”, 8” & 6”)
With the base cake (14”) being polystyrene - would it be best to buy a single rod that would fit through all 5 tiers?

Do you recommend decorating all of them first and then tiering? Or tier it all and decorate? I’m making a rosette base, a plain middle & a rosette top so I’m kind of nervous

Hi.. Very useful video. I am going to do my first 3 tiered cake. Are u using the same plastic straw which we normally use for drinking juice? Sorry if i asked something stupid..

Hi Georgia, I'm a newbie in baking and I was hoping to use my favorite lemon chiffon cake recipe for my naked cake and then stack them up like what you did on this video. But my question is whether it's a bad idea to use chiffon cakes in layering or would it work the same with sponge cakes? Thanks! ☺

Hello! I'm making my first 3 tiered semi-naked cake this week & found your tutorial immensely helpful, thank you! Regarding the center dowel - I noticed yours barely went through the top tier, and I'm wondering if my dowel is too long now (I thought it was supposed to go almost to the top of the cake). Should I cut mine further so it only comes up 1-2 inches into the top tier as yours did? Thank you very much for your video(s)!
Thank you! As long as the dowel doesn't come up the top of the cake then any size is ok. It's good to measure the tiers and then the dowel to make sure it's not too long!
