    As usual, this is Really Lovely, Georgia. You must be going MAD, not being in your regular kitchen. Arghhh!! What an Awesome tip. One of my Super BFF's son, who I've known since Infancy, was supposed to get married in October, but they have cancelled cuz nobody knows WTH will be going on. I was going to do their semi-naked cake. They may go ahead with a very small, immediate family affair. If so, I will be using this great tip. Love the lemon syrup, too. Yum !.,

    It’s funny what you just said thank you so much I just subscribed. I love your show something you said that got me I work for the hotels to Miami five star I do the same thing I use the spring pans for my moose cakes instead of buying rings that are very expensive but I had a friend Chef said that he wants to throw them in the garbage rather he use them he needs the metal one so right you can use anything you wantsometimes I use condensed milk cans for certain things so you can use whatever you have. That’s what I’m trying to say. Thank you so much I appreciate it JP from Miami.

    A little tip... to avoid crowns on cakes, wrap the outside of the pans with water soaked non-flammable materials you can get on line or make your own by wrapping around your pans strips of soaked handtowels in aluminum foil before putting in the oven to bake, of course. With the left over tops from previous cakes, make popsicles decorated to match the wedding cake. Kids will love them!

    • @Canuckmom128
      @Canuckmom128 Před 4 lety

      @Roshni Ghotra By "Baking Paper" I'm pretty sure she means Baking Parchment Paper, which is what it is called in North America. You can also use a sheet of clear acetate (plastic) cut to fit all the way around the inside of the ring plus a bit extra for overlap. You can do it free- form, but this is a great tip for keeping the sides of your cake straight and even, particularly if you are doing a semi-naked cake, like this one. ALWAYS CHILL YOUR CAKE after filling and stacking the layers - 20 minutes in the freezer or 40 to 60 minutes in the fridge, before icing the exterior. I would put just a touch more icing on the top, but that's personal preference. The flowers would have to be added an hour or two before the Wedding to avoid wilting. Simple and gorgeous.

    I am doing a wedding cake in a week for a friend who asked for Italian Meringue Buttercream. I know that this is similar to Swiss Meringue buttercream but perhaps a little more stable. My question is how long can IMBC sit in an air-conditioned room. The ceremony will be at 4:30 but cake won't be cut until around 8:00 p.m.. I have to travel with it for 1 1/2 hours as well. I will put in small ice packs or frozen water bottles in the cake box but once the cake is there it will be out on a table for around 4 hours or so. It will be a 3 tiered cake made up of 4 10" layers - 4 8" layers and 3 6" layers. Since this is my first wedding cake I have done I'm not sure how long it will take to come to "room temperature". Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you
    Pam

    • @GeorgiasCakes
      @GeorgiasCakes  Před 3 lety

      Buttercream is fine outside the fridge as long as it's not too hot out and not in direct sunlight. As long as the room is air-conditioned then it should be fine! It just might get harder to move around the longer its out the fridge, Good luck!
