Yamaha motor. Cat chassis. No this isn't messed up. Its a rare breed. Think of this as a limited produced exotic car. May never get built again. Therefore its a fantastic sled artic cat version or viper. This is great.
I have two of these sleds - 15 LXR and 16 SnoPro and really love these sleds for trail riding. I wish they did not discontinue the 4 stroke deal with Yamaha. I may spring order a catalyst this year. Since Polaris launched their 4 stroke, I hope AC will reconsider.
Since when do people dislike Yamaha motors? People dislike Yamaha chassis. Yamaha has been making killer motorsport motors since long before most of these snowmobile brands even existed. Even their oldshool 2 stroke motors lasted forever like the sxv 700 would easily turn over 14000km. Meanwhile same generation Skidoos were being rebuilt every 7000km. Reliability aside I’m still a skidoo guy trough and trough but that’s because I choose performance over reliability. Even the new skidoos have terrible motors which constantly need rebuilds. Only difference now is that rebuilding my etec’s much more expensive and way difficult to work on myself at home compared to the old mills.
I demoed the Dr sno pro limited and the el tigre 6000 today and the Dr had to much "engine braking". It had super awesome bottom end. The el tirgre 6000 had good bottom but early 2000's 800 power feel. I remind you I daily drive an bone stock 1994 Polaris xlt. Stock, not factory but stock. Riding style is world's apart
Too stiff and no adjustability-maybe because arctic cat thinks all their riders are ditch bangers even the Pantera touring model has adjustable handlebar risers

Amazing and under appreciated by a long shot.

Gabe, the SR Viper is exactly the same sled with Yamaha badging.
Just shares the two technology..
Why is the Vector faster than the 7000 and the Viper ? I’d never buy another one

yes...but Suzuki doesn't make a snowmobile...Yamaha does...so why not just buy the SR Viper?
because you prefer cat's more than yamaha, just going on a limb here thou..
because the viper uses arctic cat chassis
Cuz the chassis doesn't compare with the ZR being superior
@@troymenk4350 wrong
2strokes are way better
