    I had a 1993 Thundercat, this is no Thundercat. The Original Tcat was low to the ground with smooth sexy curves, when you put the hammer down it was a rip your guts out chew you up and ask for more power band that didn't quit. It was a heavy trail eating tank that would sail the skis at top speed and with a bone chilling scream that came from a belt shredding 900 naturally aspirated carbureted triple that would make mother nature piss her pajamas and there was no mistake what was bearing down on you. It made no apologies and took no prisoners, that's what the Thundercat name stands for. This new thing looks so similar to all the rest of the up right motocross, computer controlled, stub nosed, long track, weight loss super model, turbo depending snow bunnies that you see bounding through deep powder. I do not deny that this is an awesome piece of engineering but it is not the straight line, trail devouring lake racer that so rightly was named Thundercat.

      TB Yup. The original TCat was great if you want to go fast on a smooth as glass surface for hours. Impressively powerful engine with an impressively primitive and useless chassis.

    King Cat was Awesome for its time. 4 cylinders and extremely fast for the time however it didn’t last long. But then they came out with a 3 cylinder. And that sucker was awesome. It lasted much longer.

    U can't compare the 90 's year t-cats to this 2017 t-cat!! The newer sled would run away w it on the lake & not even close in the trees & twisties!! And I'm a big fan of the older horsepower sleds!!

      Brock1 They're already working on it, looks like the wildcat will be getting it first. Yamaha needs to either get rid of or beef up the 6 speed sequential as the clutch packs don't hold much power.

      Dylan Duffy For the sound sure, these blow them out of the water when it comes to performance/efficiency/reliabilty though.

      @1kurgan142 Před 7 lety

      That price is only for the Tcat. You can buy the ZR9000 for cheaper, same engine, shorter skid and worse suspension. Or you can buy the cheapest Sidewinder from Yamaha for like 13.3.

      Or you can wait one year buy new, add the fourth wheel kit, stud it, knee pads, pay for 3 more years of warranty. For a total of 5 years of warranty. Add tax for a total of $15,486. What a difference a year makes.

    Nope....can't do it. Real Thundercat owners guts are turning at the thought of a 4-stroke Thundercat. Should have called it something else.
