I fell bad for Ikaris and Sprite. Ikaris sense of loyalty to the Celestial make him wants to finish the job by letting the new Celestial to be born out of the emergence. Sprite on the other hands just want to live in love, but her immortality prevent her to have a normal life.

I don't think it's referencing that scene...it's just a simple scene of stabbing someone in the back. A lot of action movies do that twist when they catch them off by surprise. They're both marvel movies and just so happen to be stabbing someone in the back.
