i found it interesting that the ai has a bit more temper and are quicker to agro you even after a few bumper taps.
and brilliant if they crash or blow up a engine or burn the clutch and such, that gives it a bit more of the track vibe

Insane story, i loved, i cryed, i raged, but when i saw those two Agera RS's i was thrilled, what a game they made, i am proud of their astonishing work in this masterpiece.

The Story Mode was really great.
I hope the DLC post expansion packs have more Story chapters to Driven To Glory and I think Ravenwest has 6 Exclusive Events coming soon. Can’t wait! Great game!
Interestingly, GRID LEGENDS came out after the 4th episode of Nijigasaki Anime Season 2 and after the 3rd episode of Genjitsu no Yohane Season 1 (2022 anime).

This story was extraordinary in GRID Legends ☺️ Love this game ♥️
A story like no other for Seneca Racing who overcomes the obstacle against Ravenwest Racing which include Yume Tanaka's big accident in mid-season it was absolute terrible which saw back in prologue. That's very hard to play with legend difficulty of course until all the way till chapter 36.
Reminds of some scenes from F1, doesn't it? Someone who controversially crashed out his main rival mid season (number one driver from the other team), drove the illegal car at the end of the season, and all that didn't help.

Yeah that event is easily the most broken one in the game. It has the same bug as the F1 games where for some reason the AI sets incredible times off-screen after the end of the session, and in this case it affected Manzi even though he's scripted to be crashed into by McKane and get a tyre blowout at the start.

I have a theory about this. After retrying this race for 5 hours I finally won 1st place on legend difficulty with a time of 37.85. Even though the game doesn't show you the time your opponents got, I think the times you need for different places are actually pre-determined / scripted, and the times the AI opponents set during the race actually have nothing to do with your final position. E.g. any time between 38.00-38.25 would always give me 2nd place; any time between 38.25-38.40 would always give me 3rd place etc, regardless of the opponents' times at the end of the final lap. And for 1st place I think you have to do sub 38.00, which is very very hard but possible.

Wait so why did the player finish second if he was first? Manzi wasn't even in top 3, they were player, lara and yume, wtf?
The problem this game and most other racing games have is the players who were sedated by Forza's approach and are unwilling to try something new.
Tuning cars and messing around in Mexico seems already enough for them
It's not even anything new, this is what the series used to be known for before it was called GRID. Ryan McKane is literally the protagonist of the first game. For what it's worth, the game is painfully anonymous and so is the story compared to the previous ones, so they have a point.

Forza is just a casual sandbox racing game that is aimed for Gen-Z audiences that literally don't know about cars and only care about what cars they want to drive instantly after getting into the game (hence the lack of progression and the overwhelming wheelspins). Wait until Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown to see what is the real deal of being an actual open world social racing game that aimed for car enthusiasts.
Remember Jarrett and Labonte Stock Car Racing? That is a great Toca game of those era with a strange title. Mandatory pitting was required and racing felt epic. I hope the new Forza MS will try new ideas.

Grid Legends to me has the best Simcade handling model ever made for car racing games in history.
I would much prefer this handling model over Forza's and wouldn't mind having it implemented in Need For Speed.
Just wanted to say that car in the tumbnail looks beautiful. And especially with those classic racing colors.
Honestly the campaign is really nice, I would have LOOOOVED it as a kid.
I dunno, feels nostalgic to me for whatever reason. Don't get many campaigns in racing games anymore.

We’ll besides NFS game and The Crew (first game) had good stories. Most track racing games don’t have story campaigns. This one feels more comfortable with some action and drama.

This is an enjoyable story for me. I know that GRID has a thing with story narratives since the Race Driver era, and this game, after going through this vid, does dig deep on the lore part, not to mention Nathan McKane's face reveal and Ryan McKane in current form after not seeing him for what, 20 years or so? Also well done to the actors as well who played their roles so well, especially Callum who made Nathan real!
You know, I wish we could have additional stories for this game. Would love to see an expansion to the story especially with Rick Scott who was Nathan's teammate. I wonder if Rick actually grew tired of the Nathan favoritism or that he was simply dropped from Ravenwest. But most importantly, JAMES RANDALL. If you play the first Toca Race Driver, he was the main antagonist of the series and responsible for causing accident to Donnie McKane, and at the end of the series he got scooted off for God knows how long. Now? Ryan, who once beat him, is arrested because of his crimes and James has this chance of payback with owning Ravenwest for starters, and we don't even know what this guy is planning in the future. Oh how the tables turned.
THIS GUY GETS IT!!! it's a huge cycle. Randall kills Ryan's Father from a crash. Ryan beats Randall. Ryan gets fucked over by his own driver (Lara). Randall does payback and owns ravenwest. I sense Nathan will do something to Randall now.

Ngl, GRID is literally Ace Combat as a racing game. Not realistic but doesn't stop me from applying realistic driving skills into.

This game is quite thrilling, the racing itself not story. I am coming from Forza series (both) and GT Sport. I had to adjust dead zone for PS4 Pro as corners did not respond well. Game is a loaner and couldn't play Series X version which I wanted. Will wait for sale on MS store. You can upgrade cars in stages for more power, handling,, change liveries to various designs and change the colors for 4 areas of car and its decals. It hard to describe actually. Livery can be unlocked also, no mtx here lol. Future updates for cars and tracks dlc are expected and I believe they will support this game for longtime as it has somewhat garnered more positive reviews. Don't judge initial launch game, look at Stars Wars BF2.

The opening cutscene of Chapter 25 is basically the prologue race
Chapter 32 looks like a pretty spicy chapter. Ravenwest are driving Minis, Seneca are driving big-rigs and Yume's comeback. I thought to myself "Hey Yume, why don't we play some 'ping-pong' with Ravenwest and their cars? 😉"
In the Valkrie race i rammed mckane into all wall and killed him

Those cutscenes aren't CGI, that's real-world filming with real-world actors & actresses. This isn't the first time racing games have this kind of cutscenes, NFS Most Wanted 2005 and the 2015 reboot are some examples to have such cutscenes.

Honestly, you can't play this game without the music playing, it just doesn't give the same energy and thrill
After watching the full story, I'm slightly infuriated that they didn't really acknowledged Driver 22 enough. At least acknowledge the efforts of his struggle before replacing him! I get it's a plot armor storyline but if you are like winning all the championships and still you are feeling like "Yume said she is the better driver." - You can only imagine the plot armor level in this. Goodness!
At least put 2 different endings:
1. If Driver 22 is better than Yume and Yume thanks you and wishes you all the best with the new team and acknowledged for all efforts before he is replaced.
2. THIS PLOT for Yume being better than Driver 22.

pretty sure she said it as a way to maintain her persona, this story is very much inspired by f1 drive to survive so not much new there, besides, i think 22's team is more or less a sister/secondary team to make full use of new sponsors and such like red bull/alphatauri, again in f1. just my thoughts though

GRID LEGENDS for me is such an amazing game especially the rare Multi-Class racing game mode, which is not in GT7.
The story really copy the Ace Combat mechanism. Interview and narration. I like that cuz to show players their perspectives.

Anyone else getting F1 2021 season vibes? There's the black-liveried superteam that won the past five (seven) championships, who were leading all through the decider, only to get passed on the last lap. It shows just how much of a cinderella story F1 2021 had been: it matches a fantasy storyline!
How are you driving so well with keyboard?! I've tried couple of Grid titles on keyboard on higher difficulty but cars are just uncontrollable. I guess I just suck at driving
Set your steering sensitivity to max, that way you can immediately countersteer any oversteer.

Hard to believe this is legendary difficulty.
The AI barely seems to react to anything.
When I play on legendary even the non nemesis drivers are dirty and the nemesis drivers are constantly after me. Penalties for touching the dirt a few times even if it's because the AI shoved me in to the gravel.
It's like we're playing a different game.
There was a glitch at 2:22:24 position changes to 1st and another at 2:26:05.

No, you can't.
Only thing I dont understand is why you give the AIs openings to overtake you. Good vid nonetheless
But Gran Turismo 7 will be much longer to beat the game because you have to start the game with the license test then you have to do the career mode sure The café and circuit experience are optional
But GT7 is going to be force online only, even if you're playing solo.

I think chapter 17 is on Expert. I did a time of 7:36.822 and ravenwest was still a few seconds ahead of me. I mean I spent hours trying to even catch up to them and tried it on Expert and beat it first try😅. But mine is on the ps5 so idk if they changed the difficulty between platforms. I watched yours a few times trying to see how you did it but you even messed up a few times and still beat them.
Yume pissed me off with her attitude so much on my play through, I win while she’s mid to back of the pack

Really, I don't mind this type of story telling. It's pretty cool to see it. And besides, this kind of story telling works much better than what Drive to Survive is doing because, surprise surprise: *These are all fictional characters* . To be fair, they do have real actors playing them, but this is still a fictional story with fictional characters. I'd argue it works much better than DtS.
One thing i think is funny in Grid legends, is that nemisis system, it is a joke, it is the "normal" AI that is danger to the player :-D

Story's decent enough, but the driving is so good and the soundtrack goes hard
There are some parts in the story mode that are kinda cliché but other than that it’s pretty good. And like the person above me said the soundtrack is quite good.
It is decent enough for a racing game and I appreciate the effort of putting one.
I normally play my own music from phone as hard rock isn't for me. Techno/dance would be great though.

Why did they make McKane/Ravenwest the villains? Aren’t they just supposed to be the best team on the grid? I don’t get the “evil twist” this time
It makes sense that they are villians, since they are always in the lead all the time in previous titles. I esspecially like how they make him cheat.
@@bluetuber982 that’s true but in other titles they were the “big team” you wanted to sign with when you made your name in racing. For example Autosport had a dynamic like that. I just feel like it’s a weird swapping of pace but for dramatic purposes in the plot it’s not that bad, it’s just disorienting lol
Because they always have been? They have that menacing aura when you look at them in the original GRID games, making them even more villainous here, is, questionable at best, but it's supposed to have some good twists here and there after all to prevent it from being the same. But I ain't complaining, it's a pretty good campaign.
