25:06 I still remember Need for Speed Prostreet being great with the occasional AI crashes. Its good that they're challenging to beat, but its also nice to see them crash out now and then. Not to make things easier on you, but to add a bit more variation to the game beyond AI following racing lines the entire time
The trucks I find could be fixed by just stiffening up the suspension and softening the anti-roll bars. Doing so makes the car fairly easy to handle.

I've never played a grid game before but to me the physics at least from a visual standpoint looks like nfs shift 1 and 2. The game looks pretty tho and I'm sure it's good fun but the physics just look odd
Agreed. Though, I really liked NFS Shift 1 and 2, but had to play it with bumper cam. Which I do with any racing game now. Looks like I'll have to do the same with this game. The camera going in and out when down/up shifting looks really janky, and honestly not that great.
Edit: After just watching another race with a different car, it looks like it's the car rather then the camera. Which makes sense. Just looks really obsessive and janky.

This looks like Shift physics indeed. The original Grid game had amazing non copycat physics and an amazing progression.

Not gonna lie , possibly the best outcome of the ea and codemasters Collab . I absolutely love the physics and gameplay . I think there is a game mechanics renewed. But the story is kinda far more realistic and actually pretty good. Definitely will try to buy once my PS5 comes .

I think just the open lobby alone made it worth a buy for me! I think I only got it because I've had probably almost every Codemasters racing title since the PS1 Toca Race Driver days apart from a few F1 games that I find easier to skip. But the lobby was definitely a lot of fun and worth it for me! Thanks to you, Matty, and everyone else in the stream who I've had close battles with ✊
Edit: I remember on the Toca games the open wheelers used to glitch out when locking the wheels at another driver. In most cases, instant terminal damage. Both realistic yet so janky and glitchy at the same time.

Well, Racedriver GRID was a paradise for me. No Ravenwest driver finished a race. I'm all for clean racing. Except when these are in. Then, it's carnage.

I was playing the "ten-hour demo" for the game through EA Play on Xbox Series X, but it won't let me continue past the fifth or sixth race in story mode. While I don't actively dislike the story, I'm concerned that I have little or no control over what'll eventually play out. Can you elaborate on these elements? Does anything that happen during races change what happens in the story? Are you given dialog choices at certain points that sway people's opinions of you?

*Does the stadium supertrucks event but avoids jumps* the whole point of stadium trucks is to hit each jump otherwise it'd just be racing around a track with nascar trucks

I saw the live action & thought oh boy this will be NFS2015 cringe, to my delight this game was an absolute pleasure to play, it feels a lot like the first ever Grid which was my fave up until this game, this is what Grid 2 should have been, I very much look forward to getting stuck into career now I’ve completed story. I was hooked, I couldn’t bare Grid 2019 for more than a few races. This is 10/10 for anyone who enjoys racing games

I'm suprised people are suprised by the story mode after all the early release video's it was quite obvious, to me anyway, it was going to be a good part of the game,
Previous releases were in my opinion underrated, yeah maybe not the greatest games ever released but they were still dam fine games.
