The car has already done over 400 miles on the Hwy, 19" rims, one charge in Colorado. And now Lucid like most MFG can now use Tesla superchargers. So I would say this is very efficient on the Hwy.

My Air GT (Tahoe) consistantly gets 470 mile range city driving with some inner city highway driving as well. To be fair, I do not push it to the full range (who would even in a gas vehicle) Not to mention it isn't good for the battery to push it to zero state of charge, nor is it a good idea to run out of gas. In the real world I get 440 to 450 miles of range and I charged Nov. 15th 2023, and just charged again Jan. 8th 2024, so the bleed off for the 12V batteries (there are 2 of them) is minimal over the 2 month stretch. I have had mine 1 year as of Jan. 5th 2024.
Best charging speed for me at an EA is 325KW, and the conditions had to be perfect. Too hot or cold and charging rates are effected. EA stations do throttle the power, so that is a real thing.
    Good Luck.

A great video with solid criticisms and valuable applause. I would love to see a "wish list" from you for this car in both the Grand Touring and Pure trims as I think you'd have realistic expectations and see compromise more than others.
Have you explored the Gravity yet? There are in-person experiences that you can visit across California and in New York. Your coverage is great and I'd love to see content about their family SUV.
Also, for viewers to note, it only has Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto as of the writing of this comment.

Range anxiety was just one of 3 comprises that limits my interest in EV. The other was the fixed glass panel rather than an traditional sunroof that open. I actually open my sunroof for light and ventilation. The other is the trend of not including a spare tire. That indicated to me that these are city only vehicles.
Finally, the trend toward seat with integrated headrest. Multiple adjustments include the headrests and on size does not fit all. Fixed headrest belong in race cars for a reason. When was t he last time you saw a 6'6/260 race car driver? Hopefully, a car of this class has other seats to chose from. But not every company allow you to mix and match.

I LOVE lucid but this is really disappointing to me. They need to figure out the range estimator, they need to fix the charging issues with EA and the wunderbox, and the range you actually got on that first leg of the trip does not live up to the price of the car. Hopefully, they fix this stuff with the gravity.

Looks like 21inch wheels really kill the range. I normally would get 3.6 miles per kWh on 19'' wheels, while driving 82 mph on the most of the I-5 sections. My lifetime (32k miles) efficiency number is 3.4 miles per kwh

Yeah they definitely impact things. The range I saw is still less than Lucid estimates

The larger wheels provide zero benefit at all except cosmetically. It makes the ride harsher, makes the car heavier, and tanks the range. But dang those 21 inch beauties look so sick

"Out of spec reviews" on youtube got well over 400 miles on the 19" rims in good conditions like 70's degree and they were in Colorado. I think they got like 3.9 or 4.1 miles per kWh.
