- Taken from Jane Weaver's new album 'Flock', out 5th March. Pre-Order Album and Stream here: fire-records.lnk.to/JWFlockID.
Jane Weaver continues to galvanize with the opening salvo from her new album ‘Flock’, the euphoric ‘Heartlow’ is a generous slice of chiming positivity, an air-punching and swivel-hipped pop groove with new music video from musician and director Douglas Hart.
“Heartlow is my attempt at an uplifting tragi-pop parade for the trials of modern times disguised as a homage to a lost generation of misfit girl groop records. Written in hibernation in an out of season French coastal town surrounded by ancient stone circles and arthurian forests.” Jane Weaver

Stereolab plus Broadcast...Glorious
Why have I only recently heardbof Jane Weaver? She is amazing!
I can’t stop listening to this song. Along with all the other Jane Weaver stuff. A glorious discovery. Thanks 6 Music.
I'm here for the same reason.
BBC 6 is a treasure. And this song is gold.
Right!! I just discovered this yesterday on Spotify and I’m hooked
Just now on BBC 6 Music - thanks Guy Garvey!
She's fantastic when I die and go down that there tunnel of light I'm convinced Jane weaver will be singing in the back ground....proper spacey dreamy stuff.👍
Indeed, just wish they'd bin-off all the daft African pop.
Thank you 6 music Jane is great add oblique fantasy you will not disappointed
Massively underrated. It was so strange seeing my favourite artists being compared to her in the comments. Seems i have a type
Such an amazing songwriter - her use of melody is amazing. So rare these days.
Jane is a Sorceress. Such SOUNDS!
I love this artist and it's all cause of Mark. He never ever stops plugging her and I love him for it. Lock down, 6, Riley, Weaver. I was late to the show...
Disclaimer* MR never stops plugging so many unknown, underated artists but this is solely about JW.🙌
Beautiful, evocative, Lush-esque, haunting. Count me in for the album.
She is channeling Ivy. Just a lovely song.
A beautiful homage to Bradcast and Trish Keenan.
Jane is a superstar. Saw her at Gorilla in Manchester in November 2021. Her band is absolutely superb too
I started listening Jane Weaver for Paul Weller’s Amoeba What s in my bag. He chose Modern Kosmology cd. I was curious about it, so I listened valley.
It was a great discovery.
With ❤ from #Penafiel north 🇵🇹#Portugal...
RMS MUSIC SOCIETY BEST SONGS OF 2021!
Sounds a bit like the late Trish Keenan from Broadcast, which is a good thing
Thought just the same thing… And I don't think it's a bad thing, either!
R.I.P Trish
Cheers
Giving me my broadcast fix. Love it.
OOOFFFF!!!!!!!!! Goddam!
It's like one of the amazing songs from the late 60s
AWESOME.
Yep, am back again. Nothing has sounded like this song since the late 60s and the era of The Byrds…
I thought this was Stereolab the first time I heard it. Very similar feel, love this track so much
Thanks, my man Gilles!!!!!!
Gilles!!!
love ittttttt
Feels so much like the band Lush.
That's a great thing.
Exactly. Loved Lush back in the day & saw them in person. They put on an amazing & very loud show! I was in heaven.
Maybe "For Love" from their 1992 album Spooky.
Wow, a "Like" in just c 2 minutes - has to be a personal record.
@@scottlahti1252 a second one, in under a minute. 😅😇
yes. my first thought.
First heard it and dived across the room to turn the radio up, thinking it was Lush. Thank god someones making proper music.
I also thought of LUSH straight away. Two minds...
Nice Broadcast vibe here. Love it!!
Absolutely! So good to have a replacement to carry on the vibe and hit the same heights :)
How brilliant is Jane Weaver? Very is the answer! She has the musical midas touch and this is exactly what was needed in a January wrought with hardship and struggle. Musical elixir to put a spring back in my step. Thank you Jane! xxx
Motown drum roll. Can't beat it. Lovely sounds.
Heard this on Radio 6 - been hooked on it ever since. Superb tune! Its a sort of cross between Northern Lights by Renaissance (1978) and If I needed Someone by the Beatles (1966).
Brilliant song! Thanks cityfm89 for introducing this song to me.
I've found this on tidal today, already in love!
Got the vinyl album from Rough Trade on Saturday. It is a corker. Again, many thanks to the peerless 6Music who never stop getting you into ever-brilliant new music. This song is an utter masterpiece - I found myself humming it even through the first full day of all children back in my classroom !Had to play it a few times tonight. Definite feelings of The Byrds and Motown drums. I think Jane is playing at my mate’s record shop in Canterbury next year ✅✅
Gotta love Jane.
Heard this on the Radcliffe & Maconie show this AM. Wooah! Mind blown. This is really really great!!!!
Same. I had to jump up and see who it was, I don’t do that often.
@@nonchalantfruit7663 Stopped me in my tracks.. TBH this has happened twice in a week - when they played Lee Hazelwood last week.. incredible.
I wish those brasses were much more louder on the refrain. Fantastic song!!!
Hey Jane, can i say a thing?
Ok: I love you!!! :-D
God bless you and your music...!!! :-))
Cheers from Italy...!!
Great song. Thanks 6 Music!
This is legit amazing.. transports you to another dimension and time.. I love it
Reminds me of Stereolab, so cool
Stupenda! incredibilmente stupenda...I love this song, in particular the way she sings...amazing
As top tunes go, that's a top tune!
I can't stop listening to this lately.
It gets more amazing with every listen.
old lovely 4AD.
Got a slightly haunting Duke of Burgundy vibe about it
Loving the haunted, psychedelic folk sound. Just the thing I've been craving right now.Love the video too; reminiscent of that great scene in A field in England. Always a joy to hear you work xxx
Always brilliant 🤩
That opening has echoes of ‘Happy House’ Siouxie 🌟
The song has a definite Souixsie and The Banshees feel, including the “ooh ooh’s”
The real deal....cheers!
When we get this horrific pandemic behind us, I beg you- please come and play in NYC. Would love the opportunity to hear you live! Beautiful new songs...
and make sure it's BROOKLYN STEEL! (the best!)
Keep coming back to this.
I love it. 🔥
Killer track! Also, psychedelic video with the absence of color? Brilliant!
¿Alguien más le siente un estilo a Broadcast?
Siiii, pero Jane tiene varios temas, este en particular recuerda a Trish
@@JuanFaundezS ya lo sé, escucho a Jane desde 2017
Fabulous ❤❤
Can you do one about Gatwick, as well?
Insane this doesn't have 10 million views. The kids...they don't know
Beautiful tune! Can't wait for the live gig in Liverpool this summer (fingers crossed)
Ooowee, this is radical. To my playlist it goes.
Stereolab, you will like too, and Broadcast I think
Thank you and long live 6music!
This is awesome!! Id love to use this track on a graffiti animation..
This You Tube clip sounds so much better than my vinyl LP.. Fire records do make some pretty bad pressings of clicks and pops.
Deep Broadcast vibes, but I'm good with that.
Sounding like a groovy Laurel Canyon hang out tune. Flower power.
Still got it!!!! Jane Weaver still keeps gettin' better!!🙌🙌
Sounds like it came out of the 60's.
This is amazing!!!
Brilliant !
keep being the best
Who are the 3 thumbs down ? Honestly, what is the utter point !
KOOL!
a hit !
Late 60s psychedelia meets early 80s indie, would you say
Hello Deerhunter!
Indie
Lush fronted by the sadly missed trish Keenan
Great song but those with photo-sensitive epilepsy need to take watching this video.
This is excellent
