- Jane Weaver performs songs from her incredible new album - Modern Kosmology.
Self taught, self penned, self played, self produced, and all-autonomous Jane Weaver’s Modern Kosmology, however, is by no means a reclusive mission. Heavily influenced by a cast of lesser-known spiritual muse (such as automatic abstract painter Hilma Af Klint and her fabled pre-surrealist secret society) Jane also enlists the physical skills of CAN’s Malcolm Mooney amongst a skeleton crew of Mancunian drum-lords and well versed psychedelic axe-men to punctuate Jane’s synth-loaded sonic architecture.

whoever mixed this session should take a bow as it's a bloody fantastic audio mix.
I am a total music snob and picky, irritable sound engineer but love to dish out the credit where it's due. Great band and songs obvs just wanted to laud the engineer.
That sounds reasonable!
Such a great timeless sound that takes from many periods. She has a kinda cool retro futuristic chill vibe going on.
Just can't believe I have only just recently found out about Jane Weaver now. What a force. Great band too.
Ngl mate kinda gay
The drummers my science teacher lmao😂😂😭😭 and I’m not even joking
Spare a thought for me, who only found out about her the other week via 6 Music. How I have been missing out.
Really loving Jane Weaver now. What makes it even more satisfying is that shes been at it for so long. I hope she blows up!
Ever since Stuart Maconie introduced me to her music I've loved Jane Weaver- this stuff kept me sane at a bad time. And "slow motion" was song of the decade!
Just incredible, right from that first synth rumble. I love Jane.
Fuuuuuckkkkk.........The more I listen to her albums the more I fall in love! Janes' music takes me to places I didn't even knew existed. No other artist impacts me in the same way....period. Pure genius!!!!
Mauricio Pochettino on bass. He's magic you know.
Juergen Klopp on keyboards too. Probably Sam Alkardyce on the mixing desk.
Great stuff as always from Jane Weaver. 'Flock' album launch party in Manchester last night a superb gig. Should have been up for a Mercury nomination this year. Wonderful vocals really appreciated with live performances.
Only came across this album recently. Wonderful - why isn't she more famous?
I heard her new song "I Wish (Loops Variation)" and have been obsessed ever since. I was wondering the same thing. She deserves bigger recognition.
Because people have no taste and listen to shit.
Looove this live version! It really brings the driving drum line to the front. Absolutely mesmerising.
First time hearing her and her group. Broadcast-y, but livelier and jazzier. Impressive.
Interesting you describe her music as Broadcast-y, I was reminded of Stereolab in a couple of the songs here. Not far off
Love this! Jane is a true genius x
Slow motion is beautiful ....
Brilliant Drummer!!!
..but he looks like Aleister Crowley and he scares me a bit.
@@revporl2 He's a lovely guy actually
Was just thinking this, too. The guy's tight AF.
good isn't he...whoever he is
He’s my science teacher.. not actually kidding he is😂😂😭 says drumming wouldn’t pay his bills.
DID YOU SEE BUTTERFLIES!!!!!!!!!!! The drums, the bass, the quirky synth.........a masterpiece
I cannot get enough .. for fuck sakes.. I love this
Wow this is just soooo goood!!! I have been passively listening to Jane on Pandora, but I'm glad that hearing Modern Kosmology on Killing Eve made me actively figure out whose song it was. Quite a fan now...and thrilled to see that she and her band sound great live too!
The very air crystallized.
