WES THEME SONG: open.spotify.com/album/7qpQ0k... (By Eric Vanier)
Wes Barker is a Canadian magician and comedian doing funny tricks, and telling great stories. You may (or may not) know Wes from his TV show Big Trick Energy. Well that's TV... this is CZcams! So watch here for hilarious, ridiculous, and unfiltered ideas with magic, stunts, and pranks. I am the funniest magician that is also a stand-up comic, or maybe I'm the comic who is best at magic. Either way you get the idea. I tour all over doing colleges, comedy clubs, and corporate events. Catch the adventures and tricks right here. With this magician / comedian based out of Vancouver and Toronto, Canada. I make funny stuff. That’s my only rule. Everything has to be funny, from street magic to stage illusions, as long as there is a joke to be made. I do magic tricks, sketches, stand-up comedy, card tricks, mind reading, and tricks with naked people. I’ve been on America’s Got Talent, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, MTV Greatest Party Stories Ever, and Wizard Wars. You can find me pulling pranks on friends, gags on strangers, or just general sleight of hand, magic, illusions, and the occasional bar bet. Wes Barker also hosts a podcast with Chris Ramsay called Bottom Of The Barrel. Go check it out! - Zábava
Hey Wes, Doug Conn here. I’m the guy doing the Sven / Knife trick. Thanks for a spotlight in your wonderful video ❤️
Hey Doug!! So awesome. Sorry I didn’t know your name. Love your stuff man!
@@WesBarker this whole interaction between two magicians brings me joy to see
Hheeeyyyy thanks for showing my performance of the whole thing!!! BIG love wes!
Damn jason is here
Thanks for fixing your hair you TIK TOK video reviewing wizard!!! Xoxo
Xoxo
Upload a video Eric. We want more. Don't let Wes out do you You can do it
Umm Pro Wizard, thank you.
Yes, Eric... do upload more
Love both of y’all’s content
Your 2nd sign in the background gave you rabbit ears for the whole video! 🐰
Came here for this comment! Once I noticed it I couldn’t not see it.
I can't unsee it now.
Calen Morelli did some crazy stuff with a projector!
Hey bao
Wes is my favorite magician, and one of my favorite CZcamsrs. I really like his style, his positivity, and how he always seems to be true to himself. I want all the best for Wes!
The guy who put the cards in his glasses is Doug Conn. He's friends with Jason Maher who did the hole trick. And the first guy is JS magic who was recently on the pod cast Jason does, the magic guys. They're all solid and worth checking out. Josh Norbido too
The who's on 1st gag is a great gag, that can stand the test of time.
Chris and Wes should do a recreation with that exact same clip buh with.. well Chris being first and Wes being second somehow 💀
Street magic dude, Doug Conn (The blindfolded man) and Josh Norbido have a regular podcast that can also be found on CZcams called The Magic Guys. They also featured JS magic (The one at the start who reversed the 10 of hearts). All certified wizards.
The blindfolded guy is Doug Conn and he is amazing.
Came here to say this. Love his stuff!
5:10 who's that??
Who’s on First is my favorite classic comedy sketch ever. I listened to it on cassette tape when I was younger.
Thanks for another great video Pro Wizard!!! Like a Bossssssss!!!
The projector method is by Richard Wiseman from his channel Quirkology.
I am excited every time I get a notification from your videos!
Yessss! One of my favorite skits. Classic!!!🙈🤣🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌
Very entertaining Wes Thank you, keep em coming.
Final trick not done in heels, yes props on the backflip but it was a composite shot. It looks like the real flip, intercut with fake buildup and landing from which was pulled a bit of still frame animation, was spliced with a real flip done with crocs or flat shoes with similar profile, because when slowed down the actual heel points disappear for several frames (and again on landing), showing a flat shoe, and it becomes increasingly obvious that there is wobble in a lot of frame alignment around the ankles and overall masking because a lot of the editing is done by hand (all the more props for good camera tracking and a lot of frame by frame rotoscoping, so it's definitely dedicated work). A good case of using video streaming compression artifacts to hide compositing tricks (e.g. the heels following the flip, but it looks like the ankles are moving on a 2D plane for a sec there prior to jumping so that's a big heads up). Very well done 3 part composite, 1) background, 2) real flip with flat shoes, 3) false wind-up and landing with actual high heels, with the latter two layers masked and animated to simulate the real jump being done in heels, or rather make the image of the heels appear to follow the flip by hand animating the heels onto the layer of the real flip, with some keyframe errors or something from cutting corners a bit; that's my first take anyway, for funzies, using what I do know but well aware of what I don't. I'm no expert but have had vfx/compositing classes in middle school, and then as an adult watched all of captain disillusion on CZcams, so maybe that counts for anything (honestly check out his channel if you're interested in vfx or how people make silly hoax videos, reverse engineered cgi fakery and similar goodness; my favorite metallic alien wearing half of a human face as a disguise). In other words I'm mostly speculating, and not talking myself serious or cushioning'll claiming authority... learning to make lightsabers in 8th grade is not an academic qualification, clearly. But it's fun to think about and break down; I do recommend the captain disillusion channel. He's like a "slight of CGI" skeptic superhero.
Jason and Doug are awesome
Every video you've got on a sweet shirt! Lol love the style!
I don’t get why you don’t get more views? Love pretty much all your videos and get excited every time I see that you have posted a new video.
wesssss, coming in clutch with the perfect video, perfect time and PERFECT wizard beard jesus look at that thing
"Who's on first" is wirhout doubt one of the best comedy sketches of all time, especially when you consider that they would o it live and in one take.
REQUEST....Please would you review & reveal Stan Laurel's 'thumb lighter' trick.....Pretty please😊
Wes, the card projection idea is actually a step backwards from something i invented years ago. I used the same idea but with mentalis to project a word. on to paper. It was amazing!
The projector trick and the dude laying on the floor(levitating) really tripped me out.
You know it's a easy trick when Wes can do it! 😂
Good stuff buddy!
Another great video :) thanks :)
For the projection card illusion, I think Calen Morelli is doing some stuff with that method
The too perfect trick with the projector is probably Richard Wiseman. The music is the same thing he uses for his demonstrations and I know he's done color change and perspective tricks shot the same way. He's a psychology professor and most of what he does is to point out issues in the way our brain and senses work. He has a youtube channel under the name Quirkology which is the title of one of his books.
J.S Magic 😍😍 the first magician in the video
He is a great magician.... He upload YT videos every day ( street magic & omegle magic)
Awesome. Thanks!
was subbed to him until saw a vid where he disregarded social distancing & he said anyone who wears a mask is a sheep. Shame I thought he was a decent guy till that vid
That baseball skit is pretty good
At one point your 2nd logo gives 7ou bunny ears and the whole video I keep staring at it. Lol
the 2nd sign makes it look like you have bunny ears 😂
Legend!! 🤙✌️
About to watch the newest Big Trick Energy episode I'm hyped for it. It's recording as I'm typing! ❤
No I'm 25 how old are you though.. -_- no need to ruin the fun for anyone else if you dont like it then go on somewhere lmao.
You seem like you're trying to by saying you must be 10 years old for wanting to watch a show that's pretty weird why do you not like it are you one of their haters by any chance? 😂
My pop (grandfather) loved 50s & 60s shows especially comedies introduced me to Abbott and Costello and I Love Lucy 30 something years ago comedic genius
the guy with the hole cards made me laugh, you might say i lmao
Awesome 😎 thanks brother 🙏
Second one was from the channel Quirkology I think.
You should check out the two Ronnie's fork handles, four candles sketch
EARLY EARLY GANG! ♥ Letsgo Wes, mentioned u in one of my songs, "WEIRD", just thought u should know, you're amazing bro.
Where can I hear this song?
This is a neat idea, the trick after this one ( mini projector in sleeve, blank translucent card rigged witrh black latex connected to projector from the back of the card creating a (this is too damn hard to explain) Latex cuboid tube from the back of the translucent card to the lens of the projector up your sleeve, allows you to change a cards value in broad daylight......
Wes is the best
😮- my face when Wes said he didn't know Doug Conn.
your 2nd sign is giving you rabbit ears
Regarding your “everybody is second to none”, true story:
In Afghanistan, US and British Marines shared a base. The US Marines put a sign above their building saying “Second to No-One”. So the British Marines out up a sign above theirs that just said “No-One”.
That’s so great!! Thank you.
@@WesBarker
Dude sorry - I should have added, though it goes without saying - LOVE all your work and crazy original videos. You and the other “boyz” (Ramsey, Pandrea, LeClerc etc etc....) must have such a cool time together. Much respect, from London, &K 🇬🇧🇨🇦
If you like a play on words watch the two ronnies - fork handles/four candles
I’m pretty sure that the second trick is grainy because the cards are blank and the faces are projected onto them from above. That would explain the “too perfect” transition as well as the... er... less than perfect spacing of the images on the cards
Lol, just continued watching the video and felt like a man-splainy idiot!
i spoke too soon, the guy with the wacky pencil made me laugh also. let's see if they can try for 3.
Do some of Jeki Yoo's videos!
The guy that explained the trick is quirkology. He kept the grainy video as a style choice, and has a bunch of videos like this.
Ahhhh I didn’t know. My bad.
@@WesBarker Don't worry about it. You can't expect everyone to recognize every youtuber.
Your neon sign makes you look like you have bunny ears
I'm feeling pretty 3rd, but that's okay. Loved your review of magic shorts
I don't know's on 3rd
I liked that first trick, to bad my sleight of hands sucks, cause I actually think I could have pulled it off other wise.
I going to try to do a "Pen and Teller" and take a guess at it (I hope thats OK):
I give this _two_ thumbs up. It was a lovely pice of art, and speaking of art.., I dont know if he did magic, but I think it was Andy W who said " _kill_ your darlings..."
(OK, that "code lingo" really sucked) 😁
Damn! That seemed to end way too soon...guess that means I was having fun! :)
That trick is Daryl's it's actually for sail
Really dig your bunny-ears.
How’d you think he was attached to the wall? Thought you were a professional!?😉😂
It was Daryl's hole card trick btw
Thanks! My brain froze on me
How do you get away with playing the music and not getting demonitized into the ground?
5:34 it’s Daryl’s whole thing
Ahhhhh thank you!! My brain crumbled under the pressure of the camera being on.
Who's on first is my favorite sketch of all time. But how does a Canadian understand a sketch that's about baseball??
5:10 who's that??
Wes!!!
Aaron!!
@@WesBarker u should have said yes lol
Daryl, the trick with the hole card is daryl's
Yes! I just couldn’t remember in that moment. Thank you!
@@WesBarker i'm obsessed with that trick but unfortunately it doesn't work in italian 😃
I feel my magic is both good and cringy lol
Me too sometimes 😂
Count me in
@@WesBarker oh! Doug Conn's paintbrush trick is freaking amazing, if you haven't seen it yet, I highly reccomend it!
enjoy the copyright strike from the music
I am so glad you didn't see any of mine because you'd throw up 😂
Hahaha
Was waiting for you to show your boys' worst tricks and shit on them.
Haha one day soon
I love your videos like this, Wes. Could you please give my friend a shout out and review his Tik Tok magic? It’s really good and you and your viewers will get a kick out of his tricks. He goes by “tiktoksmagicman” . Thanks and keep up the good work.
🤟🤟🤟 #2ndtonone
Nice review Wes. Is it wrong that I'm starting to like you more than Eric?
The trick with the projector reminds me of a video I saw many years ago: czcams.com/video/nhSR_6-Y5Kg/video.html
2nd Rep...
If we don't know you are a professional magician...maybe you aren't. Hmmmm
How Long is a China man.
Shame you didn’t do that “3,2,1 here we go” guy. He seems to alternate between competent videos and absolute cringe.
Tik tons banned in india !!!
Very magician-de. Or very con man! 😅 the best are con men.
Yay I'm the 1st after 108 people!!
Haha
liked this format and explanations from pro magician...but really poor "magic" videos
Man doesn't know Quirkology??? Smh...
My head is confused..... I see JS in a wes barker video..... Can't handle it..... 😂😂😂
Same here dude😂
I can already see this blowing up! Love your vids
