Wes Barker is a Canadian magician and comedian doing funny tricks, and telling great stories. You may (or may not) know Wes from his TV show Big Trick Energy. Well that's TV... this is CZcams! Wes, since you've worked in various fields before jumping to magic, maybe you can do a video on magic tricks you can do with items found in different job sites (kitchen/warehouse/ road crew truck/ office cubicle/ electronics store etc.) ?

With the hard hat trick, looks like the clock in the background is moving backwards... That doesn't necessarily explain how to pour from the cup on the table into the one in his hand, but I gotta think it's a step in the right direction
I believe that reverse clock is just a little Easter egg to throw us off. But honestly I have no clue.

When I 1st got into card magic I learned most of it from you, Chris Ramsay, Eric LeClerc, & Alex Boyer. I appreciate everything y'all do & have done for magic. I can't wait to see all the awesome stuff y'all been working on with TruTV in the coming episodes✌️
I think the torn card to cat trick had the live cat in there so that it would be harder to do it as a video editing trick. but what do I know.

the card through window broke me. I cannot think of a method that works or how you would do that with a camera trick. Its a one take with an animal in and mirror reflections off the window. I have to imagine it was practical magic but also it doesn't seem real.

The two guys doing the konetic energy effect with mouse traps I did back in the 1960's with a TV Scientist named Don Hurbert. His stage / TV name was Mr. Wizard.
The only difference was Mr. Wizard used about a dozen different spring loaded devices. I would start the chain reaction as the NBC TV crew would follow the subsequent action. And Mr. Wizard would explain the Science applied.
What these guys did was nuts.
Yes the stooge was protected by a bunch of crap, but being in the center of the hurricane is the safest place to be.
The accomplise was in greater threat as once the trap fly pass, or away, from the "Head Cheese". As there is no control over the traps flight path, when it's travels from it's starting point.

I’d do the mousetrap thing. One I wouldn’t do is what The Slo Mo guys did. They set up like, 100+ mousetraps on a trampoline and one of them jumped into the middle of it. Looked awesome in slow motion, but I would NOT be the dude that jumped in. Heeelllll no.

Good eye!! I legit did not see that! But no I went back and looked. Seems that is there to specifically throw you off. The way he drops the stuff at the beginning negates the reverse video. Also the liquid would need to start somewhere... but where??

Yes. I think that’s there as an Easter egg to throw us off. It’s definitely not a reverse video. But I don’t know how it works.

@@WesBarker I was wondering if CZcams actually recut your video! That is weird. I watched through a few times but couldn't find where that clip was originally in the video either which is interesting. To me it played seamlessly so did it remove your commentary as well? Very strange lol.

What is this. A misdirection... And the one with the ourang outang was awesome. I worked with apes and we had to entertain them so they arent bored. Its there I started my "really" bad magic trick to disappear a fruit and make it appear in their cages. They were often baffled by it but sometimes they showed you that you ............

Still cant figure out how the card-trough-glass was done practically. I have thought of a sliding window from the side, or bottom. That does not seem possible as the orang would look towards it and see it moving.
One thing I noticed is that the camera is moving up until he places his hands on the glass, then for the rest it is static. I am suspecting camera editing. All elements could be filmed separately orangutan-magician-card-empty scene and then composited with the proper reflections.
It could just be there the whole time and edited out with a frame after the orangutan removes it.
The money in the pockets of the other pants was stolen from silent films of the 19 teens and 1920s .. they even filmed it [or edited it] with "silent film" stop motion - Jump Speed - Slow Speed - to replicate hand-turned cameras .. probably either a copy or an homage of a scene from either Laurel and Hardy or Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin ..

I was you would’ve included some “rate the magic trick” videos. The magician does a trick for the camera while the spectator has the angle to see everything and the spectator loses their mind. It’s so cringe and I’m always curious of what the magicians I like would think of something like those videos

3:32 I think the idea here is that the girl doesn’t know the boy and she saw him stealing so instead of telling on him she did this small trick and the result was she stole a rock and he ended up with no rocks and he cannot tell on her because he will have to reveal that he stole a rock first.
