That first lock is bonkers!
Love visiting Ely.
You both look so much happier on the way back. Must be such a relief to know the boat is a good one.
yeah I never knew the water came in like that, quite mad, ely is absolutely lovely, we are both s more relaxed now we have had some good news , thanks :)
I feel so relieved for you both, that the leakages are all sorted. Happy cruising xx
Thanks you, crusing is absolutely amazing , a little taste of what's to come 😋
You both look very happy in your newly painted and repaired boat. It must be so good not having to worry about pumping out the water from the boat. Keep the vlogs coming and more of your own music please. Really pleased for you both.
Thank you were both so relieved by the outcome, its lovely to be able to enjoy the cruising for a change 😊
🥰 You both look much more relaxed on the way home.
Thanks Penney...all those rusty worries finally behind us 😀
After all the worries and the work, its time for a happy relaxed life. Looking forward to it, and take it slow but steady.

Thanks you so much for joining us on our adventure it's been quite the roller coaster, we're both so happy to finally have some good news and enjoy a good little cruise
That was great! Loved your editing and narration Chris. I didn’t know Becca played guitar, nice. You are both so happy and relaxed looking now that the boat is blackened, not sinking, and you are actually cruising. Can’t wait to see the kitchen and bathroom finished. Your vlogs always put a smile on my face. 🙏😊🤗 Kathy
Thanks so much Kathy, glad you enjoyed our style of vlog. We really are so much more relaxed now we know the boats not going to sink...yet.haha
@@TheNomadicCrobot Your Vlogs are fun and informative. They get better every week as you get better with your camera and editing skills. Love the balance between the two of you. Have a good week. 🙏😊 Kathy
LOL. You could get those little umbrella hats. 😊
Woaw now we're talking haha
It's pleasing to see your vlogs nice having the narrow boat blacked and in the water continuing the journey, have fun, it's great seeing Becca playing her guitar Chris I enjoy your narration on the vlogs, all the very best. Enjoy yourselves. xx
Thanks so much, so relieved after the blacking it's nice to be able to enjoy a few weeks cruising, all the best and hopefully see you in the next one 😀
I think your umbrella is adorable!!!!! Great video!
Thank you Shoan, quite the life saver haha
Can’t wait for your launch off onto the network proper. New kitchen and bathroom to go with the new loo and paint job. No more “rust bucket”
thanks for your patience, its been a longish journey but were getting closer every day, we can not wait :)
Suns over the yardarm somewhere especially in that heat. 💕
it was mega hot these days, quite hard cruising just have to make sure to have little breaks and obviously the might umbrella contraction haha
Love that you are now getting ready to finish the boat great channel love the singlet hat
haha cheers, were getting close now :)
Thoroughly enjoyed this little journey you guys‼️😄👏🏼♥️
Thanks for enjoying the journey aboard the whistling wombat 😀
It must have been a strain going to sleep knowing your boat was leaking, glad it’s all fixed.
Thanks it was quite stressful at time but we made it haha 😄
Only just found your channel, you guys are absolutely bonkers and it’s great! Great watching your videos going to have to try watch from the start in order.
Thanks so much for joining us on our journey :)
Yes - watch from the start. It is truly amazing what these guys have been through, a proper rollercoaster of challenges all overcome by a never give in spirit
Yes bought many houses with out surveys.
Now you are on the move (-ies?) In this vlog you had just the perfect mix of reality and history even if it's all history now. It's time for you with a new challenge; how to make a new and interesting story of the travelling the cut! I'll check if your successful! 😎😎
yes its been amazing to actually get moving, and learning how to make on the move videos too so very happy it came across like that, thanks so much for sticking with us on our adventure, hopefully its smooth sailing from here on haha
hi just love the way you both jel together keep it going
thank you :)
Your getting to be quite the repairman/problem solver Chris. Thanks for sharing the journey home with us. Best wishes till next vlog.
Thank you..it was a very intricate bit of graft, glad I'm excelling 😄
Great vlog, I think you both needed a sombrero for the hottest day. Some of those locks looked a bit scary. Bet it's reassuring that your boat got the all clear now, you must feel safer knowing it has no nasty holes. Good luck with refurbing the rest of the boat. ❤
yes quite a relaxing little journey knowing she's all safe and lovely, owww a sombrero would be a cracking idea , thank you :)
the 360 cam footage is great keep it up
cheers Phil
Just been food shopping and come back to you lovelies ! Time to chill and watch xx
Aww thanks so much Mandy 😃
You sound and laugh just like your brother some times on video 🤣
It must be something in that Talbot blood 🤣
Omg how did I miss this until now, great video
Haha thanks Shane 😊
YES!!! 💪
Cheers Michael 🍻
@@TheNomadicCrobot thank you for the video. Watching whilst working on the camper hehe 🍻
Great Vlog once again guys….
thanks so much :)
I’m glad the leaks are sorted now. Great vlog, love your format, very informative. One slight niggle, you say “you guys” too often maybe alternate with “you people” or something else so it doesn’t grate so much. But I still enjoyed it. X
Thanks for enjoying the channel Shirley, yes sorry about that and thanks for the constructive criticism I hadn't realised we were over doing it haha
You mentioned in a previous vlog that a subscriber has said your vlogs are immature.
They’re fun, they’re different, and they’re refreshing.
It’s not your fault that some subscribers have had their sense of humour surgically removed. After all, they signed the surgery consent form. 😁
haha thanks for your support, were just being ourselves having a giggle, there's lots of serious vlogs for people that don't enjoy us, there's always a few that feel the need to leave a comment and want to criticise ...Im not quite sure why they think a free vlog owes them something , haha, thanks again

Please don't hold this against me but I'll try quote a line from a Taylor Swift song.
‘People throw rocks at things that shine.’
Luv the "parasol", brilliant. Nautical tip: when lassoing a shoreside strong point, take a turn around a cleat or bitt (bollard) aboard, and snub her using that to haul against. If you try to take the way off her directly, it'll be much harder, and, if you have the rope wrapped around your hand, she could bite you, or even have you over the side. And those red buoys? "Port hand" marks the left side of the channel when going "towards the land" (in this case, upriver). Were there any green ones on the other side? If so, you needed to be between them (in the middle). Would have loved to have seen more of that bridge in St. Ives but you passing under did prompt me to look it up. Oh, and the beasts were sweet too, big lickers those.
Oh amazing thanks so much for the handy tips, which will enforse in the future, the St Ives bridges are amazing, will be sure to try and film a bit more next time, I can't remember I'd there were actually any green ones but will be sure to forward your advice thanks again 😀
Gilligan hat... hmm...
Shock and horror, Using parcel tape for your sun brolly shade. Every ones toolbox should have a roll of gaffa tape and a pack of zip ties.
Haha we do have gaffa tape...but we're very poor and have to savour it haha
I was getting Bay City Roller vibes with that brolly 😂. Couldn’t see a link that you mentioned about the 360 camera footage? 😎
Haha brilliant, sorry I'm hoping to gey them up layer on today, I didn't quite have them ready 😀
@@TheNomadicCrobot 👍🏻
Ely has got the worst signal. I couldn't even watch crobot that's got to be a crime surely. Gorgeous place. Take care guys. See you on the cut.
Haha cheers Will, yeah we had awful signal up that way to.. we even linked up to the river side WiFi and struggled, safe adventures buddy see you soon
Good video
Thank you 😊
How would the River Trust know should you stay longer then 48 hours say? I always wondered how they control that part.
I believe in most areas its based on trust but in ely they actually had a warden come around checking, yeah there quite strict 😉
You must have a good boss to let you have all this time off.
Yes Becca is very kind to me 😅
@@TheNomadicCrobot can she be my boss 😆
Always liked feeding the ducks but get ready to run from a goose they are territorial & pinch quite hard - Oh I tell kids that feeding the ducks too much will make them fat & then they will sink -
haha that brilliant...yes like humans if we eat to much we will sink.... the swans seam to be the angriest so far
👍👌❤🇨🇦
Why don't you buy yourselves one of those larger umbrellas that they use at tables in beer gardens, get the type that has a locking hinge in the stem so you can set it at any angle you need to protect yourselves from either rain or sun, by either welding or bolting a steel tube on either side or both sides of the stern, you can just slip the stem of the umbrella into the tube but you also need a hole through the tube and stem of the umbrella so the wind can't get under the umbrella and blow it away.
When you approach a low bridge or tunnel you can collapse the umbrella and then either fold it down at the locking hinge or lift it out of the tube.
what an amazing idea, we definitely need something thats quick to take down, we had actually discussed of something welded down for it to fit into, what a great idea, now just to make it happen haha thanks Brian
@@TheNomadicCrobot Another option is to approach a couple of companies who might want to sponsor the cost of the umbrella with there company name printed on it that way they get a tax break on it and you get a free umbrella
Did we ever learn where the latest water leak was coming from?
Sorry it was actually from the stern gland, our boat just uses a rubber ring for this so the fixing g process takes a bit longer
Recall the fix to that. Hadn't realised it was the source of the water in the whole boat. (That and the leaky water cylinder.)
Riddle:
As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
Every wife had seven sacks.
Every sack had seven cats.
Every cat had seven kits.
Kits, cats, sacks, wives, how many were going to St. Ives?
I might need a bit more time with this...I can't quite get my head around it haha thats a right brain tease
@@TheNomadicCrobot One. ;-)
Vest. Did you wear it in the vestibule?
Absolutely
So no more leaks then ?
Hopefully that's it for now 🙏
@@TheNomadicCrobot 🤞🤞
i EXPECT THAT IF i COULD AFFORD THIS KIND OF mALARKEY. iÈD BE DRUNK AND STONED ALL THE WAY DOWN THE IRRIGATION. gOOD FEEDS THOUGH IMAGINE ALL THAT FARM PRODUCE AND FREE BERRIES.
narrowboat life can be quite dangerous in this way haha...,its far to easy to enjoy yourself to much
Folks, don't buy a boat without a survey. You would not buy a house without a survey, now, would you!
exactly
I just enjoy you guys! I wish you were a movie😂Stay safe🥹
Aww bless you thabks so much 😀
