My father loved Simon and Garfunkel's music and the night that he was passing away in the nursing home, I played this song for him as he left us. Such wonderful memories of the best dad a person could ever ask for! He was a musician and played in several local bands way into his nineties. Music gave him so much joy in his life.
That makes me cry. My mom died in October and I'm facing the first Mother's Day without her. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing.

I've been saying this kind of thing since I first heard "our Em". She's amazing, and she never ruins a song by putting in a million "grace notes"...yeah, she COULD do it, sure. But Emily gets inside a song, gets in touch with its soul, and concentrates on all the essences and juice is the original.
