I think one thing they are getting is the option for same day release when they do their post produced. No other company can do that, I’m pretty sure.
@@aheadbeyond1974 GK Pro is the fastest for sure. That's a benefit to DGN / DGPT since this isn't on the GK Pro channel. I'd love to hear the details of the agreement between GK and DGN / DGPT given that they can't use this content on their own channel (or at least not in a timely fashion). Jomez pays $500,000 over 2 years for the right to cover, and own the footage of, the lead MPO elites series cards. But they put it on their own channel. This new silver series arrangement with the other post production companies would have to mean DGN / DGPT is paying them. Otherwise they have no way to make money off the production.
@@justbrowsing5279 it would be interesting to see. GK had to come up with something, I’m guess they didn’t have the capital or revenue to pay 500k. On the same day though, they put out pro tour coverage on their channel which is a cool advantage. Pretty sure Gateway or Jomez tried that a few years back and they got shutdown. It might be that I’m west cost and those tournaments where east. But they were same day.

If you’re looking to clean up the scores at the bottom, you could take away the numbers inside the little bubbles for the previous holes. Just let the grey, green, and red colors do the work.

It wouldn’t be the DGN if they didn’t do something wrong. They are getting better but why would you spend the time and money on post produced, when first the live still needs a lot of work and second there are three really good post produced channels already?
I agree. This is an issue on several channels. It's not the end of the world for sure but I always prefer to see the +.

I know par is relative but hole 9 definitely should be a par 4. No one is going to get a 2 on FPO and a 3 is extremely hard.
Dela is old school. From a time before par4 and 5 existed in DG.

Some really odd complaints this event by the commenters
Seriously why can’t Jomez just do all the coverage? Better commentary, way better production and videos get put out way faster. Why we still waiting on MPO coverage at 6pm. That wouldn’t happen with Jomez.
Over-rated
This is a silver series event and they dont count as much as elite series + alot of the top pros arent here. Jomez own the MP Leadcard media rights and covers all elite series events and all silver series is covered by the DGPT in collab with GK Pro, Gatekeeper and Central Coast.
Jomez are the big dogs and only care about the biggest events as that brings them the most money,
Plus Ian and Philo is a solid duo, specially Ian.
Both GK and Gatekeeper has solid coverage and commentary when its standalone and films chase card + FPO leadcard

Dude, I know! I played a course yesterday where everything that was close to 500 feet was a par 3. Make a parr for pros and one for regular folks. It was ridiculous
Dela is always all par 3's. It's a historical course and keeps scoring traditional with all par 3's. To make any hole on dela disc golf course is blasphemy to the locals. There will be par 4's when they go to the golf course for the final round.

I like how each hole preview takes the drone longer to fly through than it does the card to play the hole. Haha seriously, speed up that fly through! It’s painful to watch. And commentary is struggling to fill the time clearly. Haha
Yeah the footage should have been sped up for sure by about double for the hole previews. They ran out of things to talk about during them. Those were the slowest I've ever seen. Still. Having the scores at the bottom was a big improvement.

Why the actual network for disc golf, competed with Jomez just to do a subpar job, will never ring right to me, if you want what's best for the sport, have the best do all of the broadcasting, its like a 7th grader threw this together for an AV project, very disappointed in this year in disc golf. These commentators are more boring than in ball golf, absolute, subpar, embarrassment for coverage.
