Unrestricted climb in an F-15 is better than sex. Just saying. I've been on an (essentially) 747 that's done an unrestricted climb and it was life changing.
I think it's just as good as anything with your pants off🤔🤔🤔
Seeing the Eagle go into that vertical climb never gets old!! Gotta love it!!
Oh yeah! Been very close to one doing it IRL and its a marvel to behold. It really is awe-inspiring. Not to mention the sound wall that hits you😱

@@jimmyrecard6021 -- My mistake. It's Mach 1, not 2. I used to sell high tech electronics equipment to a group at Eglin AFB and one of their F-15 pilots told me that.

I own a condo across the river from PDX tower. I’ve been lucky to watch the training into and out of PDX. Seen many unrestricted takeoffs and they never get old. Don’t know what they’re called but the stunted landing approaches are a thrill to watch. So what if they make a lot of noise. Freedom has a price.
Yes the f15 is one of the few planes that thrust is so strong it does not need wings to fly . The engines are strong enough to keep it straight like a missle

Unrestricted climb with low cloud cover is just sad.
I live just a stone's throw away from PDX, where this video was filmed. Occasionally, while I'm plane-spotting there, if I get lucky, I'll see at least one of those birds taking off or landing. It's a sight to behold, for sure, although that's especially true of the takeoffs.
I live just up the Gorge from there , but go to PDX often… never got to see an unrestricted climb there though. Badass for sure

Why didn't you zoom-in as the F-15 receded in the distance so that a good, continuous, closeup view of its tailpipe flame and sharp climb could be glorified?

エンジンノズルが開いたり閉じたりする音ですね。低速飛行中でもたまに聞こえる

After dropping a friend off to catch a flight out of Portland I drove to the top of the parking structure in time to see an eagle of the Oregon air national guard take off. Video is good, but it doesn't compare to being there.

Anybody know what the “squeak” noise is at 0:09? I’ve noticed F-15s make that sound a lot when taxiing or taking off.
@AibPresto Official I believe it's the Electronic Engine Control (EEC). Are there any Eagle pilots or mechanics on here that can verify?
@@billjohnson7347 Its the CENC (Convergent Exhaust Nozzle Control) that you're hearing. It spins 340 turns in a matter of milliseconds to either fully open or fully close the nozzle (and everything in between as necessary) using air pressure created from the engine's exhaust fumes- the exhaust air is guided through a tube that's routed from the combustion area of the engine to the CENC itself.

Aka. Afterburner nozzles. The actual exhaust shrinks in size to get more compression. Look just ahead of the very end of the exhaust. Maybe a foot or two.

@@Dylan_Sterling Well, now that I think about it and watch the clip again 2 years later, I realize that I was wrong just by the fact that they had a camera operator out there in what would have been a tense "get your ass up to Seattle" moment to stop that hijacking, rather than just the usual daily patrol routine. I lived 10 minutes from Portland in the Vancouver area from 1995 to 2020; I live 100 miles south now, and I'm going to miss watching those fighters take off. Glad they're up here protecting us!
@@Vladpryde No way! My cousin used to in the Camas area for several years, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the Vancouver and Portland area. It’s quite a nice area, and I was in the process for applying to Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, but once all this crap went down in mid 2020, I pulled my application and went straight to the Air Force recruiters office.

That's heat
Hot exhaust fumes. Think. Air coming out of engines is thousands of degrees hot. Hot air distorts vision. Camera captures said distortion.
