He knows if they spend like $4,000 on the food they will still make $15,000 at minimum on the episode. Not sure who this banner stop hater is but they also seem to think Rhett and Link aren't real friends, don't own a company together, and don't actually have their own chefs for the show (aka Josh, Nicole, and Trevor).

I'm so confused as to why they bought the espresso shots from Starbucks. That would include the markup. If they made the espresso shots at the Mythical Kitchen (could even do it with Starbucks espresso beans) that would give a better, more accurate idea... 🤔☕

My guess is that it's all a joke and they didn't actually buy the shots from Starbucks. I actually wonder if they actually pay for any of the super fancy stuff or if it's all an act and they just use regular lobster and stuff.
@@hannahjoy4857 it could be. I tend to doubt it though because they seem to have integrity (who REALLY knows though) and also if you watch mythical kitchen they almost always have the packaging for stuff. They could fake that too, but would take some work.

I feel like they have significantly scaled down the meals after the very first Valentines episode because of the amount of outrage Rhett and Link had over the prices 😂
What about adopting the _"Where in the world do these [insert food here] come from?"_ scoring system to this type of taste test? Who ever has the smallest total difference between his guesses and the actual cost for the mythical recreation in the end wins (instead of giving 1 point for just being closer).
Episodes like these are basically all about seeing Rhett and Link’s paternal panic as the Mythical Crew kids spend a significant chunk of the family budget on questionable purchases.
Rhett and especially Link's look when the prices come up on what the Kitchen folks costs is priceless

It's not just the ingredient cost that we're paying for in the restaurant. Though I do respect the "overage" from the show budget being donated.

Brief reminder most restaurants set prices around the third rule. 1/3 for the cost of ingredients. 1/3 to for the employees. and 1/3 for profit (mostly rent and utilities).
Makes me sad that people actually spend these amounts on one meal. Some of these dollar amounts are more than we spend on food in a month!
