As a tomato hater, I would be more willing to eat a bite of all of this than eat a tomato. The gushing, the slimy seeds, and the added skin texture combo is bad enough without considering the nasty flavor.....

I have no memory of this, but my mom said when I was little I threw a tantrum in a grocery store and she threatened to take me home and bring my brother instead if I kept it up. I kept it up so she left the groceries and did exactly what she said she would. Apparently I never acted up in a store again lol.

I was wholly unprepared for how amazing this episode would be. 😂😂 Rhett’s dogs. Link kind of enjoying the wet cat food. The concept of eating pet food and actually just doing it. I’d recommend trying horse treats at some point - some of them are actually not half bad (I say, fully aware I’m admitting I nibble on my horse’s treats sometimes).

I was hoping they'd try rabbit food at some point, some brands actually smell like vegetable soup although i never actually tasted the rabbit food

I felt like i had to comment here, I live in the uk and work at a vets and have completed a diploma in animal management, which included a nutrition topic. I wouldn't buy grain free pet food. It's being researched currently and is not recommended by vets as it lacks vital nutrients your pet needs as grains are required to support heart health. Be careful and do your research before buying your pet food.
Thanks I was wondering about this. I know cats are obligate carnivores but aren't dogs omnivores? It makes sense that some amount of grain is good for them.
As a veterinarian myself, I was hoping someone commented this. While I love when the guys do these episodes, I wish they brought veterinarians on as experts.

Link is only thinking of the most common, small fish kinds when saying he wouldn't spend so much on them. An uncle saved up for years to get two koi, and he takes care of them as if they were sacred.
Yeah, I work at a pet store and it costs a lot to set up a fish tank, as well as a lot of work to maintain it and care for the fish. I shopped sales and managed to get my 10 gallon tank set up with fish for about $130, and that's probably half of what it would've cost if I didn't work at a pet store.

Episode Idea: Try to guess the most expensive meal using only smell. For example, you have 3 steak dinners at varying cost and you try to put them in order for cheapest to most expensive by just smelling them.
and if they guess correctly, they get to eat it! :)

Rhett would be a cat person if he gave one a chance for sure. I’ve met people who didn’t know they were until they got one or met one they adopted. And as a huge cat person I get the vibes from him for sure. One day the right little kitty will introduce themselves.
I remember an Ear Biscuit years ago where he talked about bonding with a neighborhood cat, I was so sure he'd get a cat after that and I'm surprised he still hasn't

In case anyone was wondering, studies have been done showing that grain free foods for dogs can cause heart disease. My vet suggested that we do something like purina pro plan, and stay away from the grain free. She said it had something to do with the replacement for the grain i. The grain free foods
The ingredients used as the replacement of grains have been show to inhibit uptake of taurine - which is super important for cardiac health! In studies there was even an indication that supplementation of taurine on these diets won’t prevent or fix the heart disease.
I have never related to Rhett more than I have with misbehaving dogs that have been trained not to do that. I feel ya, dude. I feel ya.
