I had the same look on my face watching it. I found out the video was created, all actors and everything, they showed behind the scenes. it seemed so real. but my take away is those guys are all friends and each one of them goes through a breakup throughout the video at different times but then i shows them all slumped over sad at random times. in between all that fun is true sadness. they are all going through it together and all they have is each other.

yeah its also a nod to how he lives a destructive lifestyle, the "fun" is basically just messing up your life because you feel like you're at rock bottom and have nothing

The music video gives me a feeling of how young broken men act out in destructive ways when all they are really looking for is connection - often times in our society, the connection between romantic partners (say, a man and a woman) is seen as the ultimate bond - so a lot of energy is put into those connections, perhaps at the expense of reaching similar depths with your platonic relationships - your friends. When that relationship is done, there was so much energy and emotional input 'lost' that they spiral into self-destruction. All the men in the video are 'bonding' over destructive activities - either defacing their bodies with tattoos (not saying it's a bad thing, but it's essentially defacing your body in the same way that tagging is defacing a building), getting rid of all their hair, destroying everything (vehicles, houses), either play fighting or really fighting each other, burning things, but there's moments where their relationships are highlighted even if just for a moment - the texting, the shots of various women in conversation with some of the masked men, seemingly an argument between a broken couple.
As the video progresses, the intensity of the externalized violence ramps up, but it only serves to counterbalance the intensity of the alienation of the various guys - you see shots of them alone, lying face down on a mattress (presumably crying) in a messed up house, or huddled up close to the skidding cars, or burying their faces on their hands while a car burns in the background. They're all alone, the friendships and the path they've gone down on, wanton destruction of property and even their closest relationships, they've sacrificed even their relationships for the cheap thrills of their adrenaline-fuelled lifestyles, the quick dopamine hits of new excitement. Perhaps regretting their decisions, or the circumstances that brought them here.
The video's violence and quickly-edited nature contrasts with the almost serenade-like melancholy of the actual music - ultimately what they're looking for is that love story. Also, in psychoanalysis, the shaving of the head can be seen as a hint that the person completely gave up on its identity, regardless of the motive (which often happens when some people join a gang. They kill their old self and start living for something different, that's why the video feels unsettling).

Joji used to be a CZcamsr and he’s basically a legend of CZcams and an OG CZcamsr
He made comedic videos and stuff like that where he had different characters that he would act as.
Joji is apart of a record label named 88 rising
Which is why some of his music videos are on that channel and not on his
This is the first song he’s dropped in years which is why you haven’t heard anything from him in a while
His singing obviously improved tremendously on this song and it sounds amazing in my opinion.
Also I just found this channel and I love it so keep up the great work 🙌🙌🙌
Edit: this song is about how he found someone new that’s perfect and always there for him but he’s only with her in hopes of getting a glimpse of his past relationship.
He hopes that she will one day find her way back to him as well.

I read somewhere that this was a metaphor for Frank and who he is or where he is now. Deep down, his first love is Frank but now things have changed.

The song clearly was written with his youtube days in mind. If you just look closely at the scenes in the video, you see he was paying homage to his classic videos. (flipping off innocent families on a hike, ian going bald for hair cake, pissing all over a restaurant) it makes me even more sad than the song already was (also, subtle super trash bros reference at 1:47 in the actual music video) Its a double entendre to what you thought it meant, as what it meant to me. He saw a glimpse of us

I respect the long look back/analysis once the song was done, not many people on here do that after reactions and I respect it! My interpretation was the guy in the yellow/red that's shown through out is dealing with a breakup and is self destructing. He attempts to fill the void left by the girl through partying, violence, crime, substances and surrounding himself with people who only encourage his behavior and near the end his world crashes in around him. He gets more and more violent and destroys any semblance of the life he had or the person he was, that's why he's alone and isolate at the end. That's just my interpretation though and I liked yours as well.
    Great video keep it up!
edit: just realized that the guy in red and the one in yellow are two separate people but I believe they're on the same path of destruction. I believe the guy in red is behind the camera and is the one that catches the majority of the shots and when he isn't it may be the guy in yellow that's just my theory though

Yes, he is DizastaMusic/TVFilthyFrank. He has albums under Pink Guy as well as the unreleased, "Chloe Burbank" album. For a short synopsis of what's going on here, listen without the MV for the romantic take on the song, the MV is more about how we need to reflect on how we all are as people. Hope this helps

This is so unique. It’s actually a work of perfection. The way he decided to collaborate the song so mellow an such a beautiful song into a harsh and unsettled life of these individuals 🙏💯 perfection if you understand then you know. If not read about it man this is so beautiful
