First, joji isnt a group or anything. He used to be a youtuber but decided to put that behind him to pursue music. As for the video, theyre all actors, so big props to that whole team for making it seem so real
So his artist progression goes like this:
-Filthy Frank
-Pink Guy
-Joji
Before all this he used to rap

This video and song is a perfect representation of what my early 20s felt like. Living choatically to mask/hide heartbreak and a deep depression. First time I watched this it hit me somewhere so deep, I straight sat in silence and cried for like 10 minutes.. I love this song. I also feel it's an experience that is absolutely enhanced by the video. He's usual found footage style and the choice to have the choatic sound come through is just *chefs kiss*
With that being said... highly suggest checking out STFU by Pink Guy which is Joji before Joji. Its a completely dofferent side to the same artist!Funny and is also a jam. Lol
This video shows the side you create/show when you feel like you got nothing left to loose. So basically the heartbreak made these people not care anymore and decided to just drink/take drugs and live a crazy life. That is the picture this video is trying to show and from what I know this is just an act, but there is people living like this
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS REACTION, I've been waiting for this one cliff
I was trying to process it right along with you...but I could definitely FEEL this dang song!!
Joji is a Japanese artist who used to be an entertainer on CZcams, a sort of comedian.
However he eventually decided that that path wasn’t for him, and started making music.
Yess finally u watched it. 🙏🔥💯
LOVE this artist ♥️🇨🇦♥️
Joji is different in the best possible way. Gotta check out more
That melody tho 😘
Need More of Joji!🤙
I love the progress of George Miller (Joji / Pink Guy / Filthy Frank)'s career over entertainment and music. His stuff he sings as Joji is just so damn beautiful and heartbreaking at times. But that's just what my millennial emo ass loves lol.
Joji aka George Miller is also Filthy Frank and Pink Guy both CZcams greats. Joji is his serious side.
I always laugh at the thought of it being pink guy/filthy frank because that was my childhood. But his music is beautiful and I hope the best for his music career.
The chaoticness of the video represents him trying to distract himself from a breakup
my theory: they arent broken up. he is talkin about both of their past selves to his and her present and future selves. and then talks to his and her past selves when they were happier from his unhappy present and future self they are still together. but they both want to be the way they were when first in love. the things they do in the video is cuz they arent happy anymore. she is in the vid yelling at him the whole time. hes romanticizing the past in the song while the video shows a glimpse of the reality. he obvi wouldnt miss whats happening in the video, hes clearly miserable. they both are. they are both destroying each other. listen to the way she talks to him. in return he acts out and continues the abusive cycle. he wishes for a time with her he can no longer see (out of sight) cuz its too far in the past and is now lost (out of his mind). their life together is flashing before our eyes while he is missing something he cant seem to find scanning thru the memories for the girl he loves, the one hes singin to but she no longer exists and neither does the guy he was that loved her. hes searching for someting he cant find cuz it no longer exists, and the video shows it possibly never existed...
Fun fact, joji created the harlem shake lol (the trend, not the song)
This might be bit too late since you made this video quite some time ago but i will leave a comment anyways. Basically music video is showing destructive life he has been living and that's reason why he's ex girlfriend left him for and now him being with a new girl he is still thinking about ex even tho his new girlfriend is so perfect but everytime.he looks in her eyes he sees glimpse of him and his ex so he keeps living destructive life to get his thoughts away from that but it still gets him as you can see in music video guy sitting alone and thinking, being deppresed and as song progresses you can see in music video it gets worse and worse and he is using himself cauz all he wants is to be with his ex again. About that music video i am not sure but i saw reddits about that being scripted like them being actors but it has made so well props to music video creator. Anyways much love keep up your good work
There was no PS4 though :P ps2
Second
can you react to some $uicideboy$
First...
Bro you don’t know joji????? Def react to more like slow dancing in the dark, yeah right, sanctuary
the very last beat of the song always gets me so upset, the piano at the *very* end doesnt resolve, you *want* just one more note on a higher pitch, but it just doesnt come, because thats how the story of both the song and the video are, unresolved, and dreadful
The fact that joji almost lived a life like this during Filthy Frank
