If we were to compare this football style to a boxing style, I'd say Spain plays like a counterpuncher: Controlling the pace of the battle, patiently waiting and baiting for openings in the opponents defense and then quickly striking a blow.

En el 2014 Del Bosque tiró un mundial por la borda. Aún había equipo para seguir haciendo historia. La poca ambición de Del Bosque nos pasó factura, el hecho de haber ganado el primer mundial hacía 4 años hizo pensar que no pasaba nada si no se ganaba en esa ocasión. Había que exprimir al máximo la calidad de los jugadores del momento y en mi opinión no se hizo por falta de preparación y de ganas. Ya podríamos tener 2 mundiales.
Bueno quizás la única culpa de Del Bosque haya sido no haberse ido antes del cargo. En el mundial de 2014 muchos de los jugadores importantes de la selección estaban en una baja forma que no justificaba que fueran convocados, pero lo estaban y eran titulares, de ahí el fracaso. Ahora años después vuelve a ser un equipo altamente competitivo y con muchas posibilidades de ganar cosas grandes, pasará, ya lo veremos. Porque ahora no se puede decir que jueguen igual, pero el estilo es el original.

Cambio el libreto y eso fue un desastre...Villa por Costa, xavi por koke. Para mi el error fue con chile y holanda costa no pintaba nada en ese equipo podría haber tenido el papel de llorente en plan revulsivo y punto, pero el equipo jugaba de memoria con villa y torres como delanteros. Cause the modern football is way more intense with high pressing teams,physicality and vast tactical teams.Earlier football was more conservative though with great players.Today's many elite teams learnt how to destroy tiki taka tactically by mastering highly coordinated pressing styles,counter-attacks,space build-up etc .Tiki taka is not the most efficient style anymore but it has been slightly evolved like pep in man city and ancelotti in napoli.Some times teams like Liverpool also play tiki taka in final third.But the thing is so much extra things are added to tiki taka nowadays that it doesn't seem as entertaining as before.
