Fact
Busquets was the Kante before Kante

Those who watch football know how is Bosquets
@@RasenRendanX busi was the kante with the ball control of dennis bergkamp
Everyone forgot David villa đ. He was the most important player in that team after xavi & Iniesta
Indeed
Agreed. His movement and finishing brought them that extra step they needed in the 2008, 2010 tournaments.
Spain ainât really had a proper number 9 which is the reason
@@samnowlin2792 David Villa is a number 9
No one forgets villa. his goals helped spain to the WC final
The fact that the Spanish squad was predominately Barca players helped them, as there was a lot of chemistry
Even the onceâs that were not Barca were Madrid
David Villa wasnât a barca player during WC 2010 and Euro 2008 who was the top scorer for them and their captain wasnât barca player either
@@moneymaker2024 I said predominately, meaning not all

Really missing the time when Xavi and Iniesta dominated world football
You are stuck with Modrich now lol đ, well at least he scores goals and runs alot even as a 37 year old. Damn, what has Football come to.
David Silva, Sergio Busquets, David Villa... The most underrated legends of the dominant Spanish side
Pedro Rodriguez also
@@arithmetic7105 Yes he also.
If they were Croatian they'd have a Balon dor, and each would've been seen as the Greatest of their country, but...the Midfield aliens exist in Spain so they're not.
Lol, Silva was mostly benched in 2010.
if i'm remembering correctly, the dutch side in 2010 final were capable of such football but opted for an opposite approach
they def werent capable bc they didnt have enough quality for that. so they focused on disrupting the play. overall, i think they wanted not to allow Spain settle into comfy possession (after they saw how passive Germany played) so they tried to win the balls back and press Spanish and they succeeded in breaking up Spanish' rthythm. but also got carried away with physicality. they lacked players like Davidtz, Bergkamp, Seedorf
I remember watching the 2010 world cup final in my parent's restaurant being a kid. It was so exciting to see everyone around supporting that football style, that ideas of team effort, selfishless passing and cooperation
When you have great midfielders such as Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso, Busquets, Fabregas, David Silva playing together, you don't really need a striker..
well euro 2012 proved that
Just think about the fact that Silva just play one match (Spain-Switzerland) in the WC and after that he didnât play again, Silva in the bench!! Incredible
squad was so deep they could've just played with the bench
4 out of the 6 are All Time Great Midfielders. 4...All timers playing together..unheard of almost in the entire history of football. Complemented by World class Mids on the bench like Mata, Cesc, Isco, Cazorla etc.
If i would watch this video without voice and closed eyes,i could easily detect which video is this because of the music in the background.

Greatest national team ever in my opinion based on such a complex way of playing for a national team. Hope we win something with Luis Enrique n the new crop of players coming through.
the new Spain has a solid base. The question is the striker. Costa didnt really work out and Morata is always up and down but that man Ferran torres looks like a good threat
having half of the national squad came from the same team (Barcelona) really helps them in chemistry.
What a team! I am glad I started watching football during their era in 2010. It was the best international team that I've witnessed till date
This is by far and away the most well drilled international team the world has seen. They might have got boring to watch but the results were never in doubt
results are all that matter after all.
@@RasenRendanX really? maybe, you are right. because I wonder would many people still remember Barca as they do now if Barca never won CL? or Spain only won Euro in 2008? i guess because of wins style of play got more recognition. but at the same time Dutch team of 80s and 90s always beloved but only won Euros.
@@RasenRendanX nope. Its the way that its done that matters the most.If u get the process absolutely bang on then the results will follow
Are you bored by the slickest lock-pick passing you've ever seen? Besides, it was the sides they played parking the bus that made things boring, when teams came to actually play goals rained down.
@@RasenRendanX both things are equally matter, if you win many trophies without playing well, you are gonna be remember forever thatâs true, but if you play as no one did before, charming every one, and winning just one trophy, you are gonna be remembered as well.
In that era the El classico was intense af
Ramos,Pique,Xabi,Iniesta,Casillas,Xavi and other spanish players were crushing each other in El classico, but how the fuck did they manage to be so solid together in the National Team? Especially Ramos XD
Unit as a team
What a team. Made me fall in love with football.
I was just beginning to get into football when the 08 Euro happened, so I wasn't so much into the tactical side. I have Spanish ancestry, so Spain was always my team. By the time the 2010 World Cup came around, I was so excited for what I considered to already be among the best teams ever (admittedly biased). And I paid more attention to the tactics, but was still uneducated enough to just assume that they were a strong defensive side who loved killer passes.
Now I have such a deeper appreciation for how my favorite national team of all time played their way to complete dominance. Thank you for this! iViva España!
My dream fantasy match is between the Spain 2012 team and Jurgen Klopp's liverpool. A team with six unpressable midfield masteros vs an ultra high energetic pressing machine
Iniesta would show Liverpool it's place.
Henderson a maestro ? đČ
This Spanish team made me a Barca fan, I loved how they played
Their Euro 2012 team was the best incarnation of those three titles they won in a row.
Those six creative midfielders (and no striker) playing with so much harmony and such precision is something I still cannot believe.
Either this Spanish golden generation are the best team ever in International football or a very close second to Brazil in 1970.
Man this was my request few months ago!!!!!!
Thank You â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž

Silva literally was one of the greats in that era....
Better than any Midfielder currently playing, maybe only Modric is on the same level. Goes to show what we were dealing with in Iniesta and Xavi.
Barça's playing system, also known as el juego de posicion or simply as tiki taka, had influenced the Spanish team. Some people say this style of play is very boring to see due to the passing rotations and ball possession however this system can give more attacking flexibility and tactical mobility like the total football. That's why I like this style of play. In my opinion, it's a bit like the triangle offense and the ball movement play in basketball tactics. đâœïž
It's the philosophy
In 2008 tiki-taka didn't exist and Luis Aragones were never a coach known for advocate that style of playing... so, no, it wasn't Barcelona's influence in the beginning.
@@JulioLeonFandinho Spain did play tiki taka for a very very long time.So did Barca. But the reason why the Guardiola team was renown as the tiki taka team is because positional play improves tiki taka. The basic idea of positional play came into place at Spain too as majority of the team was Barca players. And hence tiki taka flourished
@@GM-kj7sy I'm spanish, so you don't need to lecture me about it... what I was trying to state is that there's the believe that Spain squad took its inspiration from Guardiola, and that's simply not true, or not completely true.
The fact that, specially Del Bosque, used the majority of Barcelona players, made the national team play similar to Barcelona in some ways (as you said)... but just because the specific style of playing of Xavi and Iniesta, specially Xavi who was the orchestra conductor on both teams.
But the differences between Spain and Barça were more than small

Not sure if youâve already made one, but Iâd love a vid on the Dutch 433 use
Just imagine messi chose Spain too my God
Xavi and Iniesta were 2 in 1. I love Xavi for the passes and Iniesta for dribble.
I guess Spain were dominant during 2008-2010, Their CB pairing ( Pique and Puyol) were extremely comfortable on the ball and solid defensively, The midfield trio of Xavi and Iniesta we're mainly the backbone of the Spanish team, not only at International level, but also at Barcelona. But from 2010 onwards Tiki Taka was noticeably dying, as Spain won every match in the knockout stages 1-0 in the 2010 world cup, It was pretty to watch, but not as effective. Also Spain brought out some amazing talent back in the days, eg David Villa, David Silva, Busquets, Jordi Alba and so on
Continuing with the possession theme could we see a LVG's United video pls? Not seen them covered much by anyone
He didn't have the players necessary for the system. never got his targets in the transfer window.
One of the most Dominant national teams of all time, specifically the late 2000's and early 2010's, I don't think any national team will be able to replicate that 4 year dominance ever again.
TORRES was so underrated
Greatest national team of all time for sure!

During 2012 euro, some of the Spanish players from Barca or Real were at odds with each other.

I belive Enrique can change things up
I was an 11 y/o dutch kid who saw this team beat my country down in the finals. It was impressive and painful
Barca won the WC2010 literally
No, literally Spain won the WC
But their captain was a Real Madrid legendđ
Please make one on why Brazil didn't won 2018 World Cup despite having an star studded squad
They didn't play well enough, there you go.
Other teams were better. I mean, they barely got to the quarterfinals, and Belguim outplayed them
@@vta2265 Belgium didn't outplayed them, at least, not after their second goal, from there forward, Begium not shooted again against Alisson, and they almost didn't pass the half of the pitch too. You had something like more than 50, 60 minutes of just Brazil playing and not leaving Belgium play. They were a bit unlucky, as they shooted a lot of dangerous balls against Courtouis. But that game was also Courtouis best performance in the Season. Even so, I still think that game could have been 2-2 and problaby would be won by Brazil in the extra-time if it actually happened.
I wonder how serious this guy is in real life
Clever Football
Bro pochettinhos Tottenham tactics plz.
He has made one
After France won Euro 2000 I thought they'd easily dominate 2002 world cup. They still had their key players in their prime with some veteran but still at top level, combined with young but battle proven Henry&Trezeguet. They could've been the first "Spain", and even more impressive by winning World cup, Euro, World cup. But reality is bitter, finished at bottom of group without scoring any goal.
Damn i realosed they didnt have a typical 9 except Villa(not fully 9) and Torres who was played half the times if Im right....and still they won

The success of this Barcelona style applied to Spain 2008-2012 became the core idea of my national team's Filanesia. The positional elements and the passing style influenced Filanesia. The realization of the idea was during the 2018 Asian Games U-23 Indonesia National Team Squad under Luis Milla. I have to say that Sergio Busquets showed what Michael Carrick was all about, only in Spanish and more comprehensive. I never realized that Pressing was the most vital element for this Spain side until Jurgen Klopp Borussia Dortmund 2012-13 also Jonathan Wilson quoted that his Gegenpressing was a bit like the '80s Liverpool. David Villa was the best striker in the world with this Spain side, Torres still showed what he can do despite his terrible club seasons.

2012 gotta be the strongest Spsish team ever assembled from my point of view. Nontheless , the 2013 side was quite decent too albeit they lose the final to Brazil. From 2014 onwards , it went downhill. To date , the Spanish side are so much inferior comparing them to their predecessor ( 2008-2012 side ) and look far more average on paper also.
Barca won it adding Ramos they called it Spain
And Casillas
David Villa.
I wonder why Busquet is physical enough to be lone dm in Barcelona, but not the same guy in spain

Forget the player count, we didn't even discuss how Barca single-handedly dictated the entire Spanish footballing philosophy during this period .
