    I love how the bike is completely inconspicuous. It looks just like a normal single-speed bike.

      Yes, one of the things I like best about it it doesn't look like an ebike until you look closely at it. Even the rear hub is smaller than most looking like it might be for gears not an actual motor. It rides light and fast (for an ebike) and so far my favorite out of the works I've reviewed. Torque delivery is even smoother than my Trek Rail 5 that costs over 3 times this.

    Bought one, your review helped a lot. For me singlespeed is perfect as it translates to minimal maintenance. And I drive around 300km’s a week. Great vid!

    I really like this one Chris 🙂👍👍, it has the look and wheels of a proper bike, which is great! Also that maintenance free chain is impressive.

    timely!! youtube has been suggesting bike gear for days now and watched a few. I thought just few minutes ago, isn't it backwards since e-bikes are getting better? This bike you reviewed is really good looking, nothing easily suggests this is an e-bike. but the price though, i wonder what it can buy for a manual bike or ugly e-bike.

    Looks nice but the non-removable battery will be a deal breaker for many. You may want to bring the battery indoors to charge while leaving the bike outside.

      It would yes. Many would love to charge it indoors live the bike outside maybem. I guess they decided to make it as thin and light as possible so went non removable. But it doesn't even look like an ebike.

    thanks for the range test, can you tell us if that was mode 1,2 or 3? really looking to get this bike but i have 31 miles daily commute which im hoping i can do on one battery, there are two big hills too, so be interested to know your thoughts more on the range.

    Nice review.. Could you review the Vanmoof s3 if you have the resources to? Reeeeaally looking to get that bike and your review here isn't like any I've seen on them so it'll be a great watch before I do purchase one

    Hey Chris, great video! I live in Dénia myself and I’m looking for an electric bike to cycle around the Montgo everyday to Javea. Would you recommend Tenways or is it better to go with something like a Trek? (Trek’s are so expensive though)

    One thing that puts me off from buying an ebike is the hard-to-replace-yourself battery packs. If only the manufacturers could agree on some standards for battery packs that are user-replaceable :(

    Saw one drive by yesterday here in my town. It is a great minimalistic looking ebike, though it would have been even greater if it had a central motor and (optional) rear axial Nexus 7 speed. Especially for that price. Chris you know any other brand ebikes that have such feature set with this minimalistic design?

    Would be interesting to know what tyres they put on, tyre width and clearance l, manufacturers often cheap out on tyres to increase profits ( even big name brands ). Some good tyres would decrease rolling resistance ( increased range ) and give more comfort as well.

      It's covered they are @01:25 CST brand ones. Road tyres with puncher protection extra tough (apparently) so, not the lightest tyre. Rolling resistance is very good on these ones. I'm use to my fat 29" Trek MTB ones! Noisey and terrible on the road, designed for trails of course.

    I love the Tenway bike design but single-speed is no good around here, due to hilly terrain. Does anyone make a carbon belt bike which has a geared motor or hub? (I don't like derailleur gears).

    Good review. Ride must be rough no shocks? The web site says "Integrated Theft Device", wonder how that works?

      Yes well it's designed for roads as a city/road bike. The anti theft I think is the password lock for the motor.

    I bought a bike from Tenways based on a review of dutch reviewer David from Bright.
    After 221 Km the bike stopped working. After contacting Tenways they send me parts which i had to install myself or find a repair service (they won't tough a 'internetbike') My technical skills are basic and cannot install a new display on a bike. So a bad choice to buy this bike for me.

    What if the battery develops a fault or the charge port is damaged? Big problem there for a non removable battery.

      Well it can actually be removed with a plastic panel removal but what I meant was it’s not really a normal end user removable battery. It’s not like it’s welded into their at least!

    I know this might be a long shot, but was wondering how is the driving if the battery is dead?
    Can you use it as a normal bike decently or is it very hard to pedal without battery?

      It's fine on the flat a little bit more work than a normal bike pedaling. But the climbs are a lot harder with a dead battery.

    Hi, did you say 25 to 26 kph it automatically cut off. That's only about 16.25 mhp ? But it looks good though for everything is conceal from being ebike look like a Fixie bike

      That's the legal limit in Europe, the US version has a top speed of about 20 mph.

    You mentioned no gears is a con. The problem is you can't have derailleurs with carbon belt. The only option is internal geared hub. However then this bike will need to move motor to mid-drive (more cost but better) or front wheel (it's not as nice) to make room for rear hub gear.
    Anyway not really needed because of PAS levels act like electronic gears

      Yes true with PAS it's fine without gears, it's only if it runs out of battery I was thinking without gears some climbs will be hard.

    Thats funny - a bike with battery which you can ride 70km needs to charge 2,5h….meanwhike the daily using elektronics like cameras, phones etc. need to be charged for 6 or more hours 😁

      They all do, but this one claims to have a clutch which results in no drag from the motor when there's no power

    Holly shit that braking looked bad (and is noisy). Maybe want to retest that after some degreasing and extensive bedding in the brakes.
    With full force on the front brake the rear needs to feel loose and become jumpy after a few meters. Otherwise there is something wrong.

      It has improved now after I did clean them. Seems they got some oíl on the pads from the disks and at the start it was down right dangerous stopping distances. Ow it's so much better but still could be much better. I think it needs better quality pads...

      Same here. But it can be removed to replace it at least from the bottom, just under the crack. A few screws and then removed. But it would be nice if you could just slot it out. The next bike I'm reviewing has a removable one and still a normal frame size and non foldable.

    They should offer a lower cost version, get rid of the hydraulic discs and replace with rim brakes, replace the belt with a chain. That will drop the price plus allow the user to swap rear cogs and front chain rings for a gear ratio they enjoy. Save the belt and discs as the high end option.

    Bad xspark brakes for the price. They Should have gone shimano or tektro. Xspark is notorious for leaking.

    That "carbon" belt will wear out so quick. It's rated for no humidity.
    Also, you changed pedals, and battery can't be removed and exhanced? Wtf man ?

      No they are rated for 30,000km. Yes non user removable battery.

      @@Techtablets That seems like a really decent, even bargain, price. I've been watching a ton of reviews of a multitude of e-models over the last year or so. There's a really cool make called WAU manufactured in mostly China and assembled (I believe) in the UK. It's almost a £1000 more for its base model. Then there's the super-looking S3 from the Netherlands. Again, it starts at nearly £1k more. So... it does get me wondering what is the catch here??

      @@RalphAverbuch the catch is it's not retail price, it's pre-order. In other words you are paying advance before they start production which is why they are crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The other companies are established already and selling a product already made. This means it's an introductory price lower than what it will be in stores if it this is successful

      I asked about the guards they will sell them and a model with them installed. I've got another ebike review coming an EU Dutch/German style 28" wheel non foldable bike with gears, bike rack and mudguards. Another good one but heavier and no torque sensor which is amazing to ride with. Even smoother power delivery this bike than my 2021 Trek Rail 5.

    Lovely looking bike. Battery powered biles I think are a joke. Defeats the purpose of it. Won't be long before you can buy trainers you need to charge before you wear it.

      Sure, but advantage of ebike is ability to climb hills that are too hard on self power alone. Also you can commute to work in your uniform without sweating. And people with health problems can ride too. So if you're young and fit maybe no excuse to have it, but there are situations they make life easier!
