I'm giving up my smartphone for one week. I'll be using only this Punkt MP01. It features voice calls, number pad text messages and that's it. This will likely be a panic inducing experiment. As you know smartphones have become an important part of our lives. Let's see what a week without one is like... a scary thought for an internet junkie like me.

I went back to a flip phone around 9 months ago and in around 2 weeks I began to feel like a human again. Not like a zombie
Best switch I ever made. It feels good to hold a real newspaper or book in your hand again. And it gets me out of a lot of extra work. which I don't miss. But the best part is I've noticed a great improvement in my sleep pattern. Falling asleep much more easier and not waking up in the middle of the night. Also it's a LOT less stressful on your eyes.
I think everyone in this generation will have glasses by the age of 30

So true mate, I have also changed to an old fashioned phone almost one year ago, and it’s just great. No WhatsApp and other annoying stuff, if you want to connect with people just ring them and safe time 😊

And the quick answer is.. It's a designer thing.
You can't really see it, the buttons make it look like a phone for the elerdy. But when you look at the packaging you can kinda sorta almost see it's trying to be a designer thing and that's probably why they gave it such a price.
I can't even find a Dutch store that sells this thing while it's been out for a while. I'm thinking and kinda hoping it's a big flop.

I mean - if you want to be disconnected , there are many 'dumb' phones you can buy for around $50 , some of which are pretty similar in design to this one. $300 is just not justified, unless you insist on being a hipster !
