Look at these people... so peaceful, free from war, epidemics and bad politics. Breathtaking flight!
“there is no stopping on this one, we’re 100% going no matter what”…. 😳😬 yikes… I figured that would be the case but hearing that made it real man. Awesome job!
you have to say it out loud sometimes to tell yourself the reality of it 😏

Ryan demonstrates here that being a pilot is a challenging job with many tasks aside from operating the aircraft.
Great seeing the inside of the hangar. And thanks for the Bypass demo. Really cool. Loved the drone footage of the village. Ryan, your videos are getting better and better. God bless you and keep you safe.
You've really upped the production! Love the drone shots, the soundtrack music, the comments about local culture. Together they all add an emotional and sensory attachment to the trip.
100% agree!~
Agree, Ryan is stepping up his game in leaps and bounds.
100% agree!!
Well summarized!
Agreed! I haven't visited the channel in a minute, looking fantabulous!
The bird dumping on your windshield reminds me of a navy joke. 2 seagulls flying. Bird one says to his partner: "I have not seen a sailor in over an hour". The other gull says "You'll just have to hold it".
This was an interesting trip. Good job.
Ron Pekkala , Funny... there are a number of spin-offs.... LOL
Another Great Video and yes More Exciting than the Olympics this year and Good Luck for the PNG and USA Athletes
The pilot’s memory & instant recall memory to repeat long , detailed messages … blows me away !
Thanks for sharing !
seminole rick , Totally true. And it blows me away, also!
really like this format, show loading preflight, then the flight, walk around the village, then the flight back. Holy smokes talk about people living on top of a mountain ridge, what a hike to go anywhere.
I'm not a pilot but I've always been fascinated by flying....really enjoy your channel. Your explanations are informative without being condescending.............and then there's the scenery! Keep up the great work Ryan! God Bless!
Same here, not a pilot but love aviation. i`m glad I found this channel
The amount of gear deflection on takeoff was extraordinary.
To be honest, my heart rate went up when you were taking off from that mountain top, especially when you said you were going no matter what. Fun flight as always, Ryan! Thanks!
Fantastic! That down hill take off had me on the edge!!! Stay safe and God bless.
Now that's a bush strip - the gear on take-off was flexing like Arnold at a body building contest....
Bird: OH CRAP!!
Ryan: That bird just dumped on my windshield.
Cool landing and take off.
Awesome thanks for letting me tag along.👍✈️
Great video! In the 80’s I had a friend, Emile Borne, who’d been a carrier qualified Naval aviator that became a pilot for MAF in New Guinea. He sent me a photo of a gnarly mountaintop strip in New Guinea that he flew in and out of and said flying there was as challenging as carrier flying. On the back of the photo he’d written, “Wish you were here.”
I can well see how an aft CG could result in a tail strike landing at that strip! Thanks for another good video and I appreciate the ground coverage too!
Love your vids and they just get better and better!
Thanks for taking me along.
Again, we always enjoy your videos. You make it feel like you’re talking directly to us! The extra treat was the preflight and walking around after the first landing.
Thank you!
another great video from my favorite Missionary Bush Pilot
Thanks Ryan for once again a great video. Awesome landing and takeoff at Gema with excitement! I always appreciate the ground content with drone shots of the beautiful landscape, your inspection walk down the runway and seeing the happy crowd. God bless and stay safe!
Great to see the ground shots, Ryan. It makes a trip much more unique.
Missionary Pilot, I am a Papua New Guinean myself and I just want to thank you and your colleagues for the wonderful works you people are doing in our country which is very rough and rugged in nature where most of our remote places or villages are not reached by roads. God bless.
Our pleasure!
That got my heart rate up and I'm sitting at my computer! Enjoy your talking through your flights. You have my dream job.
Really liked the bypass demo! Quite a wild runway landing & takeoff.
Awesome treat, being a guest with you. Footage, is a sweet supplement to your adventurous experiences.
This Takeoff was one of a kind... amazing job as always, Ryan, even with a higher heartrate ;)
I used to be a missionary bushpilot in Southern Mexico. Awesome video! Brings back a lot of good and scary memories!
it's great you included some pre-flight check items. I thought that bypass actuation is a lot faster. The drone footage above the village, the strip, was a good one indeed!
Wow! Love the drone footage, it made for a better perspective of the hill slope and how these people live. Walking the runway and the hanger preflight check, also made for a great an educational video. Once again a perfect, “Air America,” landing and take off. Please continue making awesome videos we enjoy the air show every time. Thank You and Aloha.🌺🇺🇸
Thanks Ryan, that was a real treat looking behind the scenes
Love the ground stuff, especially planning and pre-flight checks.
I really love when you show the locals and use your drone for a more extended view of local living.
Very impressive!
Glad you enjoy it!
Another excellent vid, Ryan! The drone shots really add a new dimension to them. THANKS!
Really enjoyed having more ground content. Both at base and out in the sticks. Fly safe!
A double feature, awesome!
Great video, Ryan! Quite the take off on that steep hill runway!
Great video. Love the extra ground footage too 👍🏻
Thanks Ryan. Impressive hill to land on. Even more so to take 10 people back off.
Good take off and landing my heart has finally slowed!
Loved the mix of flying and ground content! Thanks for taking the time to bring us into your life as a Bush Pilot Ryan! Keep up the great work!
You do such good work Ryan, you must inspire a lot of folk as you do me. Love the ‘on the ground’, sights as well. Very exciting down hill take off, my heart rate went up just watching it. Cheers mate.
I’m curious as to what your passengers think while onboard. “This guy sure does talk to himself a lot!!” “This guy must be praying out-loud, should we be worried?!” Those computer thingy’s not only has a bunch of buttons and knobs, but requires you to talk to them all the time as well!”
lol, I let them all know why time talking to the cameras.
@@MissionaryBushPilot , Aha, but does it change anything? LOL Honestly, I wondered about exactly that! ROFL
It's a good one especially that you had done what the viewers had been requesting to show the preflights checks and closer cockpit show for learning purposes., keep it up!
Absolutely love your flights , keep it up mate 👍.
Outside shots, drone views, all good. Stay safe.
That strip was breath-taking taking off - great job, Ryan, you are the dude 👍✔
Some of the best flight videos around...bravo and safe flying always!
Top drawer stuff Ryan! The drone & ground footage is great to see and the interaction with ATC is good to hear being both professional & personal. Keep them coming. Thanks for posting. 🇬🇧👍
wow!...what a thrilling landing and take off
Great video, Ryan! I really enjoyed the local color and landscape! It was also nice to see an out and back!
Thanks for including some of your pre-flight procedures. Awesome video, Ryan!
One great film Ryan ! Thanks , be looking out for more !
Great video, love to see the walk around inspection of the plane!
These are the coolest strips. Looks like landing and taking off from the top of a roller coaster.
Excellent video! Loved the flights and the drone footage over the village was amazing and super interesting. Would love to see more!
Amazing bro you always show some hidden places in PNG . Fly safe .🇵🇬👍
Ryan,
This might be your best video so far. You've really "upped your game".
I primarily fly light-sport, a Quad City Challenger, and where you land is a lot like where I and my friends land our little birds.
Keep the great content coming.
A natural in the air and on the ground.... cool
My uncle was a missionary pilot in 1935-36, for German missionaries. Flew a Fokker, borrowed the plane to leave in '36, flew across the mountains to Dutch territory, landed in a rice paddy.
Correction, his plane was Junker F.13 named Papua.
Actually, it was 1939 when he ND his mechanic decided to leave and try to return to Germany. They liberated a coupleof barrels of fuel from the mission at Kiapit. They flew over the high mountains, almost did not make it across, but then landed in a rice paddy in Dutch territory. They were officially taken prisoner after a cable came back from the Netherlands. After a few weeks, they were taken to Java, told that they were prisoners, but could do anything except leave. A Japanese ship was in the port, so they swam over to it and were taken aboard. The ship took them to Vladivostok, where they caught a train to Germany. Warner Garms, my uncle, was shot down over Crimea on March 1, 1942, noted as missing in action.
The Junker F 13ke "Papua" serial number 2074 Registration number VH-UTS was property of the NeuendettelsauervMissions Gesellschaft, registered in Sweden as SE-AEC, was disassembled, shipped to New Guinea. More information can be found on the Pacific Wrecks website.
Had my heart rate up on that takeoff to... Loved the ground content! Good video Ryan!
Great video! I do like the ground content as well. Love seeing the remote beauty of PNG.
Safe flying and blessings to you and your family.
Hi Ryan, great vid as always love the diff content on the ground and the runway walk somehow brings you closer if you know what I mean, the scenery was awesome all those untouched green mountains, that old saying there,s no substitute for experience you showed that completely with that landing well done, side note enjoy the coms when they say good morning makes it more personal, stay safe until next time
Incredible video once again, Ryan. Yes please, more ground content, it is equally as fascinating!
Like the drone video showing everything. Also view from the aircraft's tail. Thank you.
Very professional pilot ! I am impressed with your commitment to following procedures. Professional pilot equals safe pilot. Great job!!!!
Thanks for the air view. It is amazing. Keep up the good job bro.
Continue to outdo yourself! Great video and as always love seeing the people.
Loved the drone shots of the no second chance runway!
Awesome work, amazing to see how life is at the other end of the world. Stay safe guys x
Oh my. I was holding my breath on that landing. I guess that’s an airstrip? Looks better on the ground. Max weight takeoff weight from there? “There is no stopping on this one.” Wow. So much rides on your skills and that reliable JT-6. Higher powers watching out for you!
What a great flight and landing at high altitude & temperatured. Wondering what barometric pressure would be up there.. Comparing it to flying in Iceland where temperatures are lower and denser air with much stronger winds to contend with
Well done Great flight
That's a goodone . I like all the extra detail about the aircraft and the place you end up. Loved it.
Holy Cow. This was just magnificent!!!
Thank you, I'd enjoyed every flight I'd watched.
Love the extra ground comments.
Sensational! Really enjoyed the ground content too. Shows all aspects of what's needed to conduct a safe flight. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
I really enjoy your videos - and this was one of the best with the extra content. I always thought getting my Mooney checkout on a runway that was 2325 x 50 ft was challenging (FAA ID: L52), but this one was a "little" more challenging :) ! Since I don't fly anymore I enjoy watching flying videos, especially these that involve flying with an eternal purpose. Keep up the good work!
Enjoyed that especially the on ground content thanks Ryan cheers Mike
Dis guy right here always watch the plane video from here with my rock playlist crancked to 11. Metallica, Delta Parole, ACDC etc. AWESOME!
Always nice the look around. Amazing the picture quality for these drone shots. Great stuff.
Absolutely enjoyed the video. Very informative. Keep up the good work Ryan.
That's a neat little strip to land on, enjoyed watching!
Quite a ride to Gama Ryan. The departure was inspiring to say the least. Gets the adrenaline going. You make it look easy...the mark of an ace. Sitting on your shoulder is much appreciated.
Great format, and that take off had me on the edge of my seat!😍
I really liked this video. Maybe one of your best. Always fun to see when new ones arrive!
Thank you for showing us some of the pre-flight Ryan - found that interesting too - an amazing plane!
Jeremy Cooke , Is there anything you can think of that you might require someday for safety sake? Equipment or updates to this model aircraft?
@@BruceNitroxpro Ryan would be the one to ask. He is the Pro.
@@jeremycooke5698 , For some reason, probably because it is so easy to do, I didn't think I was speaking to YOU... LOL I thought I was at the beginning. I think you are totally right... Only Ryan would know!
Great site. Keep it up. Awesome job you have.
Awesome flight. Especially landing and take off. 👍
Loving the flying content as always! I don’t get the opportunity to fly everyday so it’s nice being in your shoes on the off days… would love more of the ground content as well, super cool!
Looks great in the hills. Such a wild wild west in PNG.
Enjoyed that Ryan, and man that's a steep one alright haha.
Fabulous pilot-video, interesting and beautiful footage- GREAT job !
One of your best Ryan. Fantastic piloting skills and video production. God Bless
Best video yet Ryan. Bloody awesome.
Thank you for sharing tjis beautiful video
The title is misleading? It should read "Breathtaking Airplane "Landing" on the Side of a Mountain. Excellent pilot, well done.
Great video Ryan. Education and thanks for the drone shots!
So much enjoy the additional views at the destinations.... really very very pretty. Thank you for always sharing great videos.
Thank you, enjoyed the trip and flight very much. From an old disabled pilot, sure miss flying ! Gerry Great Falls,Mt.
