Shopping List:
2 bags Pepperidge Farms Cornbread Stuffing Mix
1/2 bag Pepperidge Farms White Bread Stuffing Mix
2lbs Jimmy Dean Breakfast or Sage Sausage
1 tbsp better than bouillon chicken base
1 yellow onion - diced
3-4 stalks of celery - diced
4 cups stock (homemade preferably)
3 eggs
1/2 cup chopped parsley
fresh sage (3-4 leaves diced)
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, italian seasoning
Directions:
In large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add sausage and crumble with spoon or spatula. Cook until no longer pink. (6-8 minutes)
2. Next, Add 1 tbsp chicken base and stir to combine. Then add diced veggies, garlic paste, and fresh herbs. Mix to combine ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Cook until veggies are tender (8-10 minutes)
3. Add most of your chicken stock and turn the heat off. (reserve 1/2 cup or so to thin the mixture later as needed)
4. Add your bread crumbs. It will seem like a lot at first but the bread will begin to absorb the moisture. Fold this together and then taste one last time before adding eggs. Once the stuffing has the flavor you want, whisk your eggs and add to the stuffing along with chopped parsley.
5. Spray casserole or baking dish with cooking spray and add stuffing to it. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until browned on top and registers at least 150 degrees internal temp - Zábava
You could have used the turkey to put in the dressing but take off the skin chop it real small and put into the dressing.it would add a lot of Flavor
Just made this for thanksgiving 2021. Followed the recipe exactly with a substitution for mild Italian sausage. It was delicious. Didn’t even need to add salt and pepper, it was perfect. Thanks for the video!
My southern mama made her “dressing “ with corn bread, chicken liver, onions, celery and I add in some of the broth from the Turkey wings. It is moist and delicious, every year it is a must on my table for thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing your recipe, I will try it as a separate side dish choice for guests. 😊
Literally the best recipe I’ve found so far! I changed it up a little bit and used shredded chicken instead of sausage, and I used a pan of cornbread instead of a bag of bread crumbs. Seriously going into the recipe box for next year, everyone loved it! 👍🏻
Looks delicious thanks for sharing this recipe i made it for thanksgiving.
Now this is exactly the type of dressing (stuffing is what is stuffed in the turkey) I like. It looks moist, not dried out like sawdust. I will definitely make this.
In MY household we call it dressing and I use a recipe from my great grandmother. I would've used that smoked turkey from the stock too.
Great recipe as usual! Keep up the good work.

For me dressing we don't make it with bread crumbs only with cornbread
Nice
It's nice to learn other ways of making dressing/stuffing, be open for something new...😉
I use toasted cubed bread and cornbread. I don't use the gizzards and livers either I use smoked turkey meat.
Same
@@brookelynwallace8663 I don't like the taste of bread crumbs in my dressing, all cornbread give it a better taste when you put the cranberry sauce with it
I love dressing, and yours looks so good.
Thanks for your support
Love this recipe....you make everything look so easy ... I eat clean.... I can definitely do this..... thanks for the video 👍💞💖

I was Mm-ing soon as it started. I fortify my broth with herbs and aromatics also, but never thought of adding smoked turkey! I love Better Than Bouillon. I need to buy stock as many of them lil bottles I have up in here. 😂 I always buy asian milk bread and make cornbread for my stuffing, but I'm gonna give these cubes a try this year. It's the second time I've seen it used, and I know with you I can trust it. Love watching your creations! Thanks for the video.
I love this 😻😍😍
My friends ! It looks so delicious. Your cooking skills are amazing. Thank you for the good food.🧡😍

Amazing I’m doing your recipe
I'm trying it!
I love me some homemade dressing. I never had sausage before. I might try adding it because I love it. No bag bread for me. I think my mom would come back from heaven a get me:)
I bake Cornish Hen on a bed of celery, onions & bell peppers. Bake Martha White cornbread mix Cornbread. Mix all together and add Campbell’s Cream if mushrooms soup, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery. Don’t you dare not add poultry/sage seasoning in. Delicious!
I watched you videos and they look sooo good👀👀. Jesus in need to be at your table.
I wish you nothing but success! Keep up the good work you doing fabulous my brother!
Thanks for your support
I think I'll try it with the sausage next week; I normally use the gizzards and only the bread cubes but... we're in a different time so, why not try a different recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your support
When I make stock, I always use turkey wings and necks, and a pound of chicken gizzard. It makes the stock rich. I have also made sausage dressing and added a cup of chopped pecans. It is delicious.
I rarely comment on CZcams but had to here.
Bruhhhhh, this was outstanding!!!!!!
Made it exactly as written. Used my own broth. It was a tad too salty for me, but would probably use unsalted butter or half/half salt/no salt butter. Otherwise, this is 🔥🔥🔥.
I just now made this stuffing recipe and it's going to be a crowd pleaser!
absolutely!
I never tried an egg, but I make in the same way. Ground turkey tho! I cannot wait
nice!
Exactly team no egg
I’ve been binge watching your vids !! Want to try all ofem 😎😎😎 lol. Sooo good
Thanks for your support
I love your videos
Almost like my grandma’s recipe good job bro💪🏿💯
Looks delicious another winner! I'm making this dressing for Thanksgiving! Thanks!
Thanks for your support
I already know this is DELICIOUS 😋. I prepare my dressing the same way but I add add a little bit of shredded carrots and diced apples.
nice! sounds good
This makes a lot. That better than bullion is powerful. I made this without the egg and it was super delicious and flavorful.
No doubt! Glad you enjoyed it.. definitely important to taste as you go with the better than bouillon
Happy Holidays to you and your family 🦃
same to you!
I am gonna use several of your recipes for Thanksgiving this year...money shots Always look🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!!
That stock is key!! I like to make mine the night before when possible.
good call! Thanks for your support
Looks goods,Mr make it happen
Love it! Looks so delicious. Can I freeze my stuffing ahead of time.
I love DRESSING 🥰
me too!
Mr. make it happen. So glad to see someone else rave over sausage stuffing, I make mine with sausage and those who didn’t grow up with me are shocked I use sausage, BUT THEY LOVE MY STUFFIN. I found a sausage brand of sage sausage (killer stuffing) and everyone wants my recipe. Pork King Sage Sausage from Western Beef, Amazon also sells it. I can taste your stuffing just watching you make it, my mouth was watering.
sounds awesome! I will check it out thanks for your support
I haven't made dressing in a couple of years. However, I like your recipe better. I'll be making this... So, thank you for the wonderful content. Stay safe...
let me know how it goes! Thanks for your support
I draw the line when people start putting apples and raisins in dressing lol
Agreed
Right there with you
@@johndavis355 lol
Agree! Or olives.🤢
Like it with or without that.
HAPPY THANKS
thanks!
First been waiting for this 🙌🏾
Thanks for the support!
Yummy! Yours recipe is similar to mine but I found I like Tennessee Pride sausage better & I toss in a generous handful of toasted pecans. I've made the baked version with eggs & my stovetop version that never goes in the oven. My stovetop is the hands down winner. That's the one that everyone asks that I bring to TG dinner or a potluck. Plus I've shared the recipe to a few including my picky daughter in law. Oh! And I only use the cornbread crumbs. Besides, making it on the stovetop is ideal because the turkey is taking up all the space in the oven. 👍
Look so fire! Man you can cook. I have to watch your other videos
Memphis boy in jersey. Dude lovin it bro.
