Ray Penington Home Movie: Construction at Eildon Dam (c. 1955)

This film captures the construction site during the expansion of the Eildon Dam, circa 1955. Many construction vehicles are shown including cranes, trucks and bulldozers. There is also a scene of the Lake Eildon Tower shown almost complete.
Most of the film shows machines redistributing dirt. A sign in the film indicates that 9,000,000 tons of soil was planned to be moved.
