I am not a ring binder girlie in the slightest so it’s so interesting to see how you use them! The ability to move pages around is such a game changer
It's funny, when I started using hard bound journals, I also had a thought that a binder would be the natural 'end-goal' for keeping many interests so as to move them in and out of rotation.
How do you deal with information overload? I have so many interests and collections that by the time I sit down to record anything, my brain has moved on. :,) It's sometimes hard to give full attention to one topic when many things come in at once. Even getting packages of things in groups can be overwhelming.
Sold my soul to Filofax years ago, I mostly use a personal size Heritage and a couple of 'Originals' in different sizes. For archiving I use the same size clipbooks from Filofax and just transfer pages to those. I love the huge range of accessories and the fact I can add pages in anywhere easily. I've tried nearly all the other systems and have a large Midori collection too but I always seem to return to Filofax. Yours is looking great with your hybrid digital/analogue pages, like a work of art. But then you are an Illustrator! The more you fill them up the better they get. There is something very satisfying about a bulging Filofax.😀
Honestly, Adobe InDesign would be a lot better for designing the planner pages as that's what it's made for and also like article work and such. Photoshop is more for actual artwork and Illustrator for logo work, but neither of those have the tools in place for making planner spreads easier like InDesign has :)

i have tried to use procreate for printable/digital pages but it is hard to work out. however, i found goodnotes to be the best because they have square grid options on there and i can add lines for cutting, margins, and planner layouts. i struggle with creating and printing everything when it comes to the numbers as well. i am always looking for the easiest way to do things because it is very overwhelming.

It's so funny, about 2-3 years ago I had a CD revival moment, and now you've got me on one again! 💿 I love CDs... I vividly remember that when I was 13 I got $10/week allowance, which at the time was enough to buy one CD at Walmart, and when I was home my stereo was literally always on, so it's bringing me back to that. Really enjoying seeing your filofax system come together! Thank you as always for sharing.

your filofax is so fun!! maybe for the ruler you could put a small hole at the bottom to clip the charm to instead of the paperclip? I think that would be more secure but I don’t know what you would use to puncture it… maybe just a nail and hammer would work? 🤔
❤ the Heritage, my husband has one, and it’s so lovely. One thing some folks do, if they are using thicker paper, is snip the holes, so that they can take the pages in and out without opening the rings

the cardholder insert to hold your stickers and pictures is so smart!!! i have been struggling with sticker storage and this is a brilliant idea

I love the idea, but I can’t work with rings or coils in notebooks 😢 even being able to pull out the pages. The thing is that it bothers me so much the look on double page spreads - which I use a lot. The look of the rings breaking the look is one of the reasons that made me quit rings in a week. That and the fact that I just couldn’t make it work on the go, writing somewhere else that was not my desk became dangerous and I did misplace a couple of pages once.
However, I LOVE the Reading and TV trackers and I am thinking on printing them for a monthly wrap up or something like that. Next year I won’t be using the Hobonichi because my favourite pen doesn’t work well with the paper 😢 but I love some things about it and you are doing an amazing job at creating a monthly and weekly calendar that I could totally paste on the pages and have nothing to miss ❤

If I may make a discalculia-graphics-cheat? Just disregard if you'r not intersted! ^^
Scan the page where you nailed the distance to the holes, and draw a rectangle and place th punched holes, you can create a template to pop in to check the placement.
Thiis is one of my own strategies to get around my own flavor of discalculiia :)
I have been binge watching flip-throughs and people making k-pop journals (I’m not a K-pop girly so no idea why) and they all seem to be in 6 ring binders. I’m in love with the aesthetic of them and it inspires me to try it out but my main concern would be storage when I’m done with my inserts?
Do you have any plans for this?

I do the same thing with k-pop journals and anime journals. It’s so fun seeing it all come together in the binder at the end even if I have no idea who anyone is haha
@@Figjamplay ooooo anime journals too?! You’ve given me a whole new genre to explore 😂 I really admire the dedication those people have to their topics. I just know I’d get bored like 2 weeks in 😂
I have left ringed binders for awhile now but when I did use them, I would backlog inserts into a clear 6 ringed binder I kept specifically for that and kept them organized with dividers - I basically bought a cheap 6 ringed binder from amazon. Hope that helps!

i make bookmarks with paper clips as well! i add little chains with extra charms on it to make it a little longer, they always turn out super cute 🤎 i loved this vid!
I have the same issue when printing stuff I just can't figure out the only thing that ever worked was making mini mock ups, like taking a scrap piece of paper and figure out this way what goes where and even then I still mess up
By some amazing serendipity, I actually found a Clipbook in a charity shop for £3 at the weekend. I love my A6 notebook too much to want to use it as a planner, but it was too good a deal to pass up and I'm sure I can find some other cool use for it!
