I’m an Avs fan and from the states. I love this podcast! It’s not my team but I love in depth hockey talk. And I’d never heard of Sid until the all star weekend when he was on stage. I immediately CZcamsd him cuz I thought he was amazing and I love that he was on the show today! Have him on more!
Sid needs a weekly show with the SDPN as an outside fan absolutely love him.
To be fair to Toffoli he probably still be in Montreal if they were not rebuilding. The Habs have managed to extract three first round pick out of Calgary recently, between Monahan and Toffoli.
He'd probably be in Vancouver if they had a competent GM at the time!
He didn't stay because the GM "did not have time to look into that!"

SDP & CJ Show are undoubtedly the best shows on the network and I am glad they are still growing!

Lindholm 's scoring went off a cliff after a couple big games with the Canucks, but so did a lot of Canucks production at that point. Vancouver had a horrible March, just like Colorado, Tampa, Vegas, and Boston did for the month. Chemistry with new players around the trade deadline can be pretty hit or miss, but using the line blender doesn't help things. It sometimes takes weeks for line chemistry to happen.

I know Sid gets a ton of hate but I do miss listening to him talk about sports. He gets passionate about it whether he’s right or wrong and he can poke fun and have a good time while doing it. I find him incredibly entertaining and in his own way has very Steve like reactions to his favourite teams.

I'm not sure why you guys are treating Tarasenko's trade clause with such bewilderment. These clauses happen all the time - Max Domi and Bertuzzi got them too.
Tara had an offer from Florida in the summer, but went to Ottawa for slightly higher pay and the clause i.e. the clause was needed to bring him over.
Of course Ottawa had a stinker of a season, however, when he was brought on, a lot of people assumed he would play a big role in them making a playoff push and trading him anyway wouldn't be something they would have to deal with. In hindsight, bad deal - but...we can do this endlessly with any team.
