Korean Apartment Tour ($450) | Busan

- Welcome to a tour of my apartment in Busan, South Korea!
The official word for my apartment is “one room” or “원룸”. I found my apartment through an app called Jikbang “직방”. I had a Korean friend contact the real estate agent and arrange the viewings since it was all in Korean.
The deposit for my apartment was 3,000,000 won and my monthly rent is 540,000 won. My rent includes water, Wi-Fi and building management facilities (such as the elevator). My rent does not include gas and electricity and I usually pay about 20,000 won per month for that bill.
I am currently renting my apartment for 6 months and have the possibility to extend it.
The larger furniture items were included in the room upon move in, such as the bed, washing machine, refrigerator and microwave. From the video you can see I had to buy some appliances, like the toaster, kettle, a chair, bins and pots myself.
The building I live in is totally new and I am the first tenant, so everything was clean. I also live within walking distance to 2 subway stations (about 10 minutes) and bus stops (from 1-3 minutes).

this one is really nice! i notice there a so much difference between the price in Busan and Seoul. You got a really nice place with that amount of money in Busan while it is just a standart place for Seoul

Your apartment is so cute. If you don't mind me asking, how are you living in Korea right now? What visa do you have to stay there? Also, can you speak the language? I'm only asking because I want to move there in the next couple years.
I'm studying the Korean language at a University and I have the D-4 visa. I just finished level 4 of the course, so would say I can speak okay 😊 I hope I answered your questions and good luck to you!

This style of Apartment is not that common, but if you search on Apps like 직방 and meet with real estate agents you'll surely be able to find some 😊

No problem and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊 it didn't really take me that long luckily! I would say about 2-3 weeks after coming to Korea I found it and was ready to move in!

Is it possible to rent this as airbnb for example if I want to stay in Korea for a month, paying deposit is no biggie
I'm sorry, but I don't think airbnb is possible for these apartments 😅
These kind of apartments only rent on yearly bases. For short term stay, best place is the 'Goshiwon'. They are size of college dorm but no deposit. Monthly rent is about $250-400 depending on the location. They also provide free simple meals like rice, kimchi, ramen, eggs.

Oh, Can we rent a oneroom for just 6 months ? Or are you an exceptionally case ? (I want to rent one too but just for a semester in busan)
Usually you rent for 1 year, but there are some you can rent for 6 months, it's just less common 😊 I'm sure you can find one for half a year!
