- Hey Everyone! On this video I take you through a full tour of my Korean 'officetel loft" apartment.
This is my third apartment in Korea and definitely my favorite.

Even apartment developers in Los Angeles know that almost all KoreanAmericans living LA take off their shoes at home, and they like it. I personally like it especially in time of this pandemic!
Whenever I go home to Canada now, I get frustrated that my family wears shoes in the house, haha.

Haha, I've had friends call me OCD in the past because I have a thing for organization of my living space. It's much easier to do when you live alone:)

I love the loft apartment! it does get a little warm upstairs, but it's cozy :)
officetels are very popular style of apartment in austin texas USA where im currently living usually the first or second floor is a business and anywhere between 2-10 stories above it are apartments

Pretty impressive apartment Dan. My friend had an apartment similar to yours years ago in Shanghai. The night lights do add volume to the apartment, especially when it comes to relaxing and watching a movie. Sienfeld can be funny, it's a comedy show that goes full throttle. The soup nazi scene can be hilarious. One thing about moving in China. I got sick of it after 8 years. Can be difficult to stay with the same employer. But put alot of adventure in places that no one to date has walked in my shoes. Question: Hows the Cockroaches in your neighborhood ? The only asian bug I fear and hate
haha cockroaches. There are zero bugs in my building. We have people come in every few months to spray near all the drains. I have never once seen anything like a cockroach in my apartment. If I open the screen on my window, I might get a fly come in. My first apartment was a different story. Older building, and on one or two occasions I did see a cockroach, but it was rare.
I like the simplicity of your to do list... eat, poop, shower.

I've been to Jeju once. I hope to get back there this year. But I really don't want to fly on a place with Covid still around. And yes! I eat a lot of eggs, haha.

How much do you pay monthly and how much do you pay in deposit?
What district of Suwon is it located in?
The apartment is paid by my employer, so I don’t know the exact numbers, but I think deposit would have been 5mil and monthly is 500 000. And the neighborhood is Gwanggyo :)
I am currently considering teaching English in Korea. I think I’d definitely have a hard time adjusting to the living style
which part of the living style? I find I live better here than I did in Canada generally.

I agree with you. Koreans doesnt know deodorants coz they don't use it. Your apartment is sooo nice! How much deposit did you pay? Guess its expensive bcoz your place is super spacious.
I really don't know the deposit. Apartment is provided by my work, but I don't think it's overly expensive because I'm not exactly in Seoul. Officetels outside of Seoul are quite affordable. Sorry I can't give you the deposit amount :(

Hey! Another musician :) bass trombone is a little too loud for any apartment haha. But I did get the trombone back after 10 years!!! It’s not the season anymore, but check out my Christmas miracle video :D I was so happy!!
Can you mention how much you rent that apartment? I swear that is super expensive because it's near the street and very convenience...
I’m not in Seoul, so it’s pretty cheap. 550 000w a month. But my work pays for it, not me. Part of the English teacher contract

On an English teacher contract, apartments are provided by the employer. I asked for an upgrade, and the arrangements were made:)

The company I worked for paid for my apartment. I think it was 5 mil deposit and 450 000/month

Sure. I lived in gwanggyo, south of Seoul. On the sinbundang line… sanghyun station
@Dan Does Korea My dream is to retire and live in Korea. Your former apt is my ideal apt to live in Seoul. I am single living in San Diego, CA. Immigrated and US citizen for 9 years now. Hope my dreams come true. Hope to get to know you and vice versa. You are a lucky guy living in Seoul.
I don't know if I would want to retire in Korea, but I did love living there. It's worth living there just for the restaurant culture. I'm not in Korea now though. I'm currently in Tonga for a couple months, then traveling through a few more countries. I hope you get to Korea :)

Can u have pets in most apartments in Korea
I can’t speak for all apartments, but korea is very pet friendly. I know lots of people with dogs (all small dogs) and everyone I know lives in an apartment.
