    Hi! What reseller app did you use? I'm moving to busan this fall. I'm bringing my doggo too. I saw that you answered someone about renting with a pet. Oh, the second switch for the bathroom is called a vent or air vent.

    • @Jenncysworld
      @Jenncysworld  Před rokem

      The app is called Karrot or in Korean 당근. It is a reseller buy & sell app and is a must-have app when in Korea. Especially for second hand interior. Good luck with your move to Korea! Busan is a very dog friendly city.

    Hi! Your apartment is very nice. And your dog is adorable! I wonder if had any troubles with rent a place wich is pet friendly? Thinking of moving to Korea with to cats))

      Hello! It really depends which city you want to live in. In Seoul it is definitely not easy to find a pet friendly apartment. But then also, it depends which area in Seoul. For example HBC or Itaewon (the foreigner neighborhoods in Seoul) are generally more pet friendly than elsewhere. But also any other city than Seoul is more pet friendly. Daegu, Busan, Jeju (or any other smaller cities) are all way more pet friendly than Seoul. I had absolute no issues to find an apartment in Busan with my doggo. Busan is a very pet friendly city compared to Seoul. In Seoul you will hear " no pets" all the time. If you want to live in Seoul, the key is to find a good Realtor who will search for pet friendly places for you. It is more challening to find a pet friendly place but doable, as having pets in Korea becomes more and more popular with the locals too. Oh and prepare to pay a higher deposit (they usually ask for a higher deposit when having pets).

    I don't know if you answered this aleady but how did you find your apartment ? It's gorgeous and looks so cozy ! I am looking to rent an apartment in Busan as well in the next couple months :)

      There are apps to look for aoartments. One is 직방 and one is 다방. They are in Korean though. Or people just go straight to realtors to find an apartment.

    How do u combat bugs in such an old building? Would love ur recommendations

    • @Jenncysworld
      @Jenncysworld  Před rokem +1

      Every window and door has these Mosquito nets on it. Therefore, not many bugs will enter either. 😊

    In South Africa we don’t have power outlets in our bathrooms at all.

    • @Jenncysworld
      @Jenncysworld  Před rokem

      That is fascinating to me. In Germany it is standard to have power outlets in the bathroom.

  • @888Winkler

    Hi Jenn your monthly rent is about the same as mine. Am I understanding you right that you had to pay like a year and 4 months rent deposit? That's insane if I'm understanding right. Here by us it's normally just 1 or 2 months deposit.
    The place is really nice for the price. That view of the sky scrapers must be really nice at night. Did you get that nice persian carpet on those give away apps LOL 😂 or was it there already. I wish we had something like that here where I live.

    • @Jenncysworld
      @Jenncysworld  Před rokem

      Yes the deposit system in Korea is different to other countries. The rent can be very cheap here but the deposit is always much much higher than the rent. 5mill won (3500$) I paid for the deposit is on the cheap end. Deposits for places like this are often 10mill or even 15/20mill won. The bigger nicer your place the higher the deposit goes.
      The carpet I got for 10$ second hand on a reseller app haha

    • @888Winkler
      @888Winkler Před rokem

      @@Jenncysworld That's so interesting. It comes to 64 000 Rand over here in South Africa which is insanely high for a rental deposit. The monthly rent you pay is actually very cheap for the nice little place you got when compared to what you'll get for that price over here.

      Do you mean BUFS? It is easy to travel around Busan conveniently by Subway or Bus, so no matter where you live, you can travel easy by public transport. Just choose the neighbourhood that suits you personally best.
