Saw the Hawkeye figure in a Walmart in the middle of Nowwhere PA today. Soooo hard to pass up, I really want the BAF Odin, Thor, Iron Fist and Hawkeye...need to buy a case.
The washing effects look really good for sure. I only got Scarlet Witch, so I have the head, cape, and staff for Odin. I'm sure one day I'll find a body to add those parts to.
I know how it feels to lose one of your most favorable pets, because in an earlier review you said you preferred odin over loki. Now because loki is the only one left, you should get him a friend, call him Thor. Anyway, awesome review man and stay awesome!
I'd personally put the King Thor cape on Odin and use Odin's cape for Sentry(if that works). I don't think it would really make a major difference to the figure.
GREAT REVIEW SHARTIMUS! Really a pretty darn cool BAF. It looks awesome. One small gripe is the cape. It's kinda a pain in the butt because of how it falls off but it's manageable. My one big gripe is the elbow articulation. He can barely lift his arms. It's super disappointing for an otherwise awesome figure.
Found the entire wave today at Walmart and got all the figures necessary to make Odin! He looks great and badass as all Hell. Would have purchased Captain Marvel as well but the paint was messed up and she was boss-eyed #boss-eyedawareness. Anyway, loved all the reviews of the Odin/King Thor wave, Shartimus.
Thanks for the shoulder paudron trick bro! I think it looks hella nicer than the regular way because it covers the top of his shoulders and doesn't get in the way.
I did not want to buy Sentry because I really don't care for the character at all. So, I actually used King Thor's left arm on Odin. I think it still works pretty well as Odin has never really had a 100% "iconic" standard look. The left arm just looks like he's wearing some kind of armor on his shield arm or something (kind of like a Roman gladiator). Plus I really dig the asymmetrical nature of it.
😏 My Odin build a figure right now has no arms because I didn't want to buy Sentury or Machine Man. 😑 I don't like having to buy unwanted Marvel Legends so that I can build the exclusive Build A Figure that comes with each Marvel Legends Wave. The only figure that I have completed building is Hobgoblin! 😒 A few of my other figures are close to being completed as well, but for the rest? Not close enough.
3 years later I was looking at the Thor comics, and I notice that these isn't really Odin, the right figure to build is King Thor, Odin's armor is veeeeery different
right now my BAF has the King Thor head with Odin arms, looks good, not fond of the cape though. I gave him the sword from the wave's Thor. Looks better this way
Sharty, do those legs click in place? I just got the BAF parts off eBay and the legs fall off when i try to move them. I don't want to break the figure. Definately not after paying import tax plus a custom fee (total bullshit extortion).
Very cool figure/s. The BAF figures are always so cool but I feel like there is always a figure or two along the way that I wouldn't want but would have to buy to be able to build the figure. Oh well. I don't really collect much anymore (other than Lego) so it doesn't affect me. Great review as always!
LOKI!!! This bf is more geared towards King Thor. I was think of doing a custom Odin out of Maestro Hulk. Maybe Idk or ill just build both. Just don't have other characters involved in the King Thor story/

otto The left arm is easily removable. If you do get the non-metallic arm from Sentry, you can easily removed the metallic arm from your BAF figure by just pulling it off.
The sculpt for the armour is based on how King Thor looked in the God Butcher storyline from last year. King Odin never really wore anything like it. For pure comic accuracy, the BAF is King Thor.

It would be really neat if someone used that Destroyer Arm to make a Medieval Winter Soldier custom figure!

Consider taking the King Thor armored left arm and putting on All Father Odin. I think it would look bad ass. Just my opinion.

Not a bad figure. It could have been a really nice figure if they went with a better helmet color, and added some more shading.
Personally think the King Thor looks better but since you get a Thor, Odin is probably the better choice to display.
