- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superhero games of all time, continuing the fantastic story, traversal and combat of the first two games while building upon all of it. One thing I absolutely love about superhero games in particular are the costumes and oh boy does Spider-Man 2 have a lot of them. With 78 total suits in the base game and 48 of those suits having three color variants, Spider-Man 2 has a total of 223 suits between the two Spideys, although four of those suits are duplicates so technically 219. In this video, I’ll be ranking all 219 of the suits of the base game from worst to best

I honestly prefer the film suits more. TASM 1 TASM2, Raimi, Holland suits, I use them more. Although the symbiote insomniac suit goes hard.
The sportswear suit in the last color scheme is a top five suit for me The color scheme is a reference to leap of faith scene from into the spider verse and I absolutely love that version of the shoe especially with the Jordans and jacket over it and they just made a realistic version of that so it’s my 3rd or 4th favorite Miles suit in the game

I get that the Secret Wars Civil War suit is seen as kind of boring but i love that the wingsuit changes to a pair of wings that come out of the backpack like Buzz Lightyear. I know other suits change the color of the wingsuit but idk if any of them have a unique look for it like this one.

Now when you equip the variant with either the purple shading or the red and blue shading.
It becomes top tier in my opinion and would definitely use it during the symbiote section of the story once new game + gets added.

Miles absolute carnage suit is my favorite in the game. Your critique for it looking like an action figure can be said for any of the symbiote suits. The design is so clean and detailed it’s amazing

Miles Absolute Carnage is peak for me because it was a suit I actually wished for back when they first announced we were doing Symbiote stuff, and I was giddy to find out I called it.
Now we just need Spider Carnage and *_we'll really_* be cooking.
I personally like both of the “army/military” suits combined together for each Spider-Man to make a universe where the spidermen joined the army
I really like the Stealth Suit. It gives Splinter Cell vibes and combining it with the black variant of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Suit makes it all the better.

Personally i love the kumo suits, they were actually designed by a fairly popular artist I've been following for about a year now, and the change of pace feels amazing every time I pick it. (Blue variation of it sucks still 😂)

My favorites for both Peter and Miles are the Advanced Suit 2.0 and the ItSV suit, Miles’ ItSV suit has been that way both in these games and in general since the movie first came out, but with Peter I honestly expected to say the MCU Upgraded Suit for a while since it used to be my favorite Spidey suit but then this game came out and the Advanced Suit 2.0 just went “I’ll just take that spot, thanks”
Edit:I still mostly stand by what I said here, but I will also say that after thinking about it more, I’d say my favorite suit for Miles is between the ItSV suit and his Classic suit

Not skins suit because the suits actually do things differently then the default so yeah I mean the different colored ones are like skins but no there more like repaints

The moment I saw all Kumo Suits in the back I couldn't watch anymore. The 4th Variant Kumo Suit is in my top 3 best Peter Suits in this game. This is outrageous.

The bodega cat suit is the only suit in the game for which all 4 color variants are absolutely amazing and it's one of my favorite suits, really hurts to see it so low. I also am a big fan of the evolved suit personally
Edit: Might as well say my most agreed with positive ones just to balance out my comment - Hard agree with all your black suit/symbiote suit placements, they're so good. Personally prefer the game's anti-venom to the inverted classic suit but otherwise really great rankings there. I agree that the advanced suit default is top 10, and while I personally would put a few of miles's above peter's in the top few spots, I totally agree with your top 10 just looking at peter's
The bodega cat suit is my favourite one because it still has the cat finishers and also very unique 😊

Some people absolutely hate it, but man there's something I find so charming about a Spider-man suit with a regular hoodie on the outside.
It just fits my vibe, I get why many don't like it, but I don't think it's as bad as many would tell you.

My favorite for Peter is the classic navy blue suit and my least favorite is the MCU stealth suit. My favorite for Miles is the default classic suit and my least favorite is any version of the new suit he gets at the end of the campaign. Every time I get a new suit, I just play with them for a minute and then immediately switch back to the classic suits :)
The evolved suit has its flaws, but it still goes hard in the paint
Imma be honest, i like miles’ evolved suit and i also like the 2020 suits purple style the most, otherwise for peter i really like the deluxe editions white red and grey suit alot, the symbiote suit is amazing, and the anti venom suit feels underrated tbh.

@@jimbobway5888 yes, and since purple is one of my favorite colors and i was looking at all the suits in videos (im too broke for a PS5 AND SM2) and i noticed that 95% of the purple suits are either ugly, too subtle, or just not that impressive, 2020 was my favorite of the purples and the suit itself was one of my faves when i played through most of miles moralas (on a cousin’s console)

1:01 for what it’s worth, I think this suit is a reference to an alternate identity Peter Parker took up called Prodigy (which featured a yellow superhero costume, although that could’ve been a complete coincidence.)

*Fun Fact*: The Evolved Suit for Miles Morales, *WASN'T EVEN MADE* by Insomniac. It was from ADIDAS of all things. People have discovered that the exact same design and clothing came from a collaboration of Adidas (way before Spider-Man 2). The exact same shoes, pants, and shirt (it's not a hoodie). It's likely that Adidas (or any higher-ups wanted the suit IN THE GAME. In the worst way possible.

The black & red variant of the advanced suit 2.0 is my personal favorite spider-man costume ever. Up until I got the classic black suit it was essentially the only peter costume I used. I love it so much! For me it's just his canon suit.
Tbh I have no idea what people dislike so much about the miles evolved suit I think it's cool and works with miles character design

I really think the red anti Ock suit would've been better if it was Red and Blue, like Peter took his most armoured suit and painted it to look like his regular suit. Also, personally I love the Scarlet III suit's red and black varient the most (call it the AC or Arrow fanboy in me, I love heroes with hoods) but my one issue with it is, since it's clearly trying to homage Kaine, I wish it had red eyes.
So kumo suit was traded so low for looking feminine..It's the same model body just with new head so what makes it feminine in any way?
If you think it looks feminine because of what it's wearing I would like to point out the headwear is worn by males not just females.
The design is based off the comic designs of the demon wars marvel comics also by the same artist.

I love the black and white Kumo suit. The Kumo suit is one of my favourite designs. I like the black and white variant is like it it's a manga.
I completely agree with the red smoke and mirrors suit. I absolutely was blown away when I got it and couldn’t switch it out.
Honestly, I would put the advanced suit 1.0 way lower than you did. I think that the orange-ish color instead of the red looks really bad compared to the advanced suit 2.0, I also think it's too tight around the sides of the stomach and I don't like how the white logo goes into the blue instead of staying on the red.

I played most of the game with peter in his new advanced suit with the black alt ( and the symbiote suit when he had it) and miles in the all black tracksuit. Thought those looks complimented each other well and looked sick on their own.

100% agree on the Raimi suit in this game and the ps4 game. It always looked really off to me as well. I think it has something to do with the way they did the materials on the webbing. It just ends up looking way too shiny, leading to it looking like you have a thin metal cage all around the suit, especially around the head portion.

1:50 Hot take incoming. I haven't played the game yet due to exclusivity, but I honestly love how this suit looks. I don't care what the whole community says, it just looks sick. Also, I really like the Kumo suit. Maybe I just have weird tastes, lol. I think these suits are unique and cool looking. A breath of fresh air and some unique and interesting designs alongside the more "normal" suits. All those more classic suits just look way less interesting to me (but they're still good imo). Everyone being such OG's here for liking the classics more, lol (no hate though). I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I just like the other suits more.
i think if it was "just* an alternate suit, people wouldn't mind as much, and not really a spoiler, but its a suit miles wears in the last act where a lot of stuff is going on so it feels random for him to wear for no reason especially in the context of the story, it's also forced on us, its a glorified ad for adidas, and is implied to be miles main suit going forward. literally everything surrounding this suit is going against it regardless of how we think about the design

I actually like the new Miles Morales suit. I do agree with the shoes filling out a place but I feel that outfit is more of a Adidas sponsor for the two Spider-Man shoes the release however, none of them are in that color scheme which makes me curious if they are going to release that pair
New Red and Blue suit ends up being my favorite Spider-Man suit. And seeing this suit so many times makes me want New Game Plus badly now.
Tokusetsu is my favorite, and I enjoyed the 25th Century one as a contrast, as it gave Miles red lines that show up in the dark, and Peter blue lines that light up the dark. Sadly, neither does actually light up the area that I noticed anyway, unlike the 2020 suit from SM:MM, which actually cast a faint glow you could see on the world around him.
That said, replaying it a bit, I'm mostly picking for fun, and wish you got the Myst suit earlier, as I dig the vibe of it...the schemes might be a reference to Power Rangers, specifically Tommy Oliver(RIP) as in his White, Green, and Red Turbo Ranger Days.
For Peter? The caped one is my favorite, just for the hood and cowl giving him some unique flare in that suit, compared to the others. Plus, I love the stupid name, Arcanhknight. Yes I know that IS a title they tried to give spiderman in the 80s and 90s...it was dumb then, and its dumb now.
Personally, both the default Scarlet Spider suits top Peter’s list for me. I really wanted them to include the Scarlet Spider III suit in the first game, so I was really happy to see it alongside the original in this game. The way Insomniac slightly tweaked the suits to fit their world just brings a smile to my face every time I put them on.
I actually really liked the reverse scarlet spider suit. Used it a great amount of my play through
my top 3 suits:
Perter: Superior (default), Scarlet 3 (red & black), advanced 2.0 (red & black)
Miles: Crimson Cowl (black & red), TRACK (black), smoke & mirrors (red & black)
the worst suits are definately all 4 variants of Miles evolved suit and all 10 digital deluxe suits

I honestly think the evolved suit could look way better for miles. If they just let them put the hood on and gave less emphasis on the blue streaks and go all in on the blue web design with some accents of white so that way the bright white sneakers aren’t as much of a distraction from the overall design

I love the respect you gave the dark ages suit. Couldn’t agree more though that the hood is such a weird choice. It still being a great suit despite that honestly says all you need to know about it. The advanced 2.0 hot pink+black, red mysterio and into the spider verse are three of my absolute favorites so I love to see those up where you have them as well! Default superior suit needs way more respect tho IMO I think it’s one of the better Peter suits in the game. Same with the red limb family business suit I love the dipped candy red. As far the suit list goes, i preffer the first game (although i'm glad they add some good ones like the TASM 2 , Bully Maguire, Classic Symbioye, and NWH classic suit) .
Though if we talking about the in game suit (basically the insomniac original one), i think for the most part looks great.
The Advanced 2.0 suit was beautifull, i love both of this version of Symbiote suits, Miles classic suit was lit, and of courec the Anti Venom Suit.
The only in game original i will cobsidered bad was Miles new suit in the third act.
You really didn't get that alot of the designs and variant colour styles are based on things for eg: the miles family business var red and gold and black is based on miles own iron spider suit.
The forever suit is based on a variant comic cover of miles as black panther so the design is based fully from that design so blame the artists not insomniac if they look this way.
Red and blue raimi suit is still my go-to suit in these games. I may be biased because I grew up with those movies, but to me, that IS Spider-Man.

The Classic Black OG Black suit on Spidey is EASILY the best suit ever made sorry to say. The Venomy Symbiote suit absolutley blew me away as well and is a close second to the OG but I have the OG at #1 because it is the OG black suit from the Comics and the fanous Cartoon series in the 90's.
It simple yet sleek smooth black design with the White Spider on the Chest and back is an absolutley timeless design that no other suit can rival. And the fact that I mean c'mon it's the black suit and the fact that its has obviously a dark aide to it only just adds to the lore and appeal of it. It is the absolute embodiment of Yin and Yang which occurs in every aspect of life both in the comic book world and in real life. With every good there is always evil not too far behind and I think that is what makes the black suit the best of all time. I wont get into all the criticisms I have about your suit selection choices because its your list and thats the way that YOU feel so who am I to criticize that right? Far as Miles suits go the White and black Track suit takes the cake for me. Idk why I just think its pretty dope and its got just the right amount of white for my taste.

The Black and Gold Iron Spider suit is a reference to The Ultimate universe version of the suit and it’s worn by Aaron Davis. Fun facts aside it looks sick and it’s my favorite Peter suit
