    Captain Dave! I just got my first boat a few months back and we subscribed and have benefited greatly from your knowledge and expertise! We thought we knew a lot from growing up on my dads boat....oh how we were humbled after watching your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and stories. My buddy and I watch your videos on our lunch break and Thursday’s are the most exciting cause we then get to decide where we’re taking our new toy for the weekend. Merry Christmas!

    Frank LoPresti teaches a method of casting live bait that works really well but it takes great skill and a lot of practice

    I've fly-lined with my old (30yrs +) Newell reels, in 15 and 25 test. They still zip it all out there to this day !

    I am so old I remember meeting Carl Newell and thanking him personally for his reels. All we had was anchovies and I used to cast over peoples heads and hook albacore in the corner. No torpedo, no slider, no split shots..... no no no.... Hahaha

      Yes tie a clothes pin to your line.Cast in the back yard. Also most tackle shops sell a rubber weight you can use to practices I learned in my back yard as a kid.

    Using plastics is the most fun way to catch fish, don’t get me wrong fly line live bait is most effective
