“Go back to drinkin….and drive a little” had me rollin 😂😂😂
IT GAGGED ME
"give it a sequel, f*ck it!" AHAHAHAHAHAHA
i said damn near the same thing when i saw this for the first time lmfao
The jail scene is everything 😂
And mostly practical. They hired a contortionist stunt player to actually play most of it backwards.
Made the whole movie for me!!
Cody: "Well it's her brother, so they were probably there together."
All of us that know: "Well....yes."
i fucking love this movie, i hope this movie has six thousand sequels and they all keep upping the ante until CyberGabriel is flying a helicopter into Madison's secret volcano lair where she lives in hiding with DB Cooper in Malignant 8: The Search for More Money
This is one of the most purely entertaining films to exist. It walks the very fine line between really great and really bad so perfectly.
"double homicide" 😂
This movie is a blast as long as you're willing to roll with its craziness
pretty much a prerequisite for horror lol
I usually don't care for camp, but this was something else. I love it so much lol
I think misplaced expectations played a big role in the split reception this movie received. James Wan has developed a reputation for creating more straightforward scary films like The Conjuring and Insidious, and Malignant is decidedly not that. It's very much in the vein of old school 90s horror films, with its campy self-awareness and general zaniness. It's a helluva good time if that's your thing, and lucky for me, it most certainly is. This movie rocks.
I loved this movie it was sm fun watching it in theaters and the twist caught me so off guard like I didn’t expect Gabriel to be in the back of her head. My favorite sequence is the police station massacre that was hilarious. It’s so campy and I just loved James Wan’s take on camp. The kills were pretty great too. I love the score to this movie as well.
This had the most fun movie experience! After the movie a bunch of random people who didn't know eachother all stopped to talk about it together. And then during the guys beside kept jumping or grabbing my arm 😂 they of course said sorry and made sure i wasmt mad but i told them it was fine. Even offered me some skittles
Malignant is kind of perfect. I didn't know I needed it until I watched it. The jail fight is frickin delightful.
So this year's halloween costume. Cody and Bridget strapped to each other back-to-back and Cody can go on a rampage with Bridget on his back/front?
Lol they should each have each other as their Gabriel
😂😂😂bro
Malignant owes a lot to the Italian thrillers of the 70s(giallo) like Deep Red and Tenebrae. The hyper violence, the bright colors and aggressive soundtracks, and the unreliable main character/narrator. Deep Red and Tenebrae are all time favorites and highly recommended.
This movie is so underrated!
This is basically a modern take on the old Italian Giallo films of the 1970s and the more I see it the more obvious the influence is - but I think it's not a genre that a lot of younger horror fans are aware of so this movie was kind of met with confusion and what the hell?
I'm interested
That holding cell scene...wow. Just...wow. And then the bullpen scene happened. I freaking love this movie.
this movie fills a need for 80's B-rate horror camp and I love it
This movie was sold as just another generic supernatural horror movie but it turned out to be a campy slasher movie with a pretty damn unique new villain. Also, all the backwards body mayhem and action was super original and fun.
The fact is that, at the 3rd act the action with Madison is all done backwards not the movie its self but Madison herself is doing it backwards and Gabriel some how learned from eating her fetuses to do all these moves, is incredible
The guy who voices Gabriel is a dub voice actor named Ray Chase, one of is best known roles is Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen who is a curse that possesses the main character Yuji which is quite ironic.
This movie was a delight... Once you make it 45 mins in your like ok this is a B Movie on steroids loved it
"Ew, return her"🤣🤣🤣🤣
This movie was EVERYTHING. So good!
The jail scene was out of pocket!but the chick with the mullet was renown stunt women Zoe Bell from Xena and Tarantinos Kill Bill and Death Proof!!
We got Chucky coming back next week and Don Mancini confirmed last week that he's started working on a script for a new Chucky movie
its prob gonna be chucky vs megan
@@ZXSPEXWe love It + don't watch It 😭
@@ZXSPEX It's not Chucky that's stopping original films from being made. Chucky is a franchise, and that's how it works. They make films and series for fans and anyone who likes Chucky. Original films can still be made.
The Actor who played Madison's Husband(Jake Abel) also played in movies Percy Jackson 1 and 2,The Host,I'm number four ,Almost friends and in the Tvshow Supernatural
I remember him from Supernatural 💜💜
Adam and Michael from SN 😭
The Darkness Falls (2003) also worth watching.
I enjoy the moments when this movie just leans into being fully UNHINGED. Like goodbye realism, goodbye logic, let’s just have fun and be wild. 😂
I love when filmmakers try something new, and this is new. I haven't seen a twist like this since Total Recall.
One of my favorite “WTF” movies 😂❤
It’s heartwarming to see people who get it ❤ I watched this with some friends and they did not have as good of a time as I did 😂 which is too bad because I think everything about Malignant is perfect, I’m in awe that James Wan cashed in all his studio goodwill to make THIS, what a nut, absolutely mad
Don't kill me Mr. Ghostface 😂hilarious imagine they actually say that in a scream movie.
I love this movie. So, the reason for the 'feel' of the movie is b/c James Wan instead of doing it in a Western way, made it more akin to how Japanese movies are made. Their movies tend to still have a hint of the kabuki theater about them, and that's what he wanted to bring here. He has talked about it in interviews & in the BTS stuff. I had so much fun with it, but I also have been watching Japanese movies and anime since I was very small, like 3 when I was in Germany. lol
I personally loved this movie! Even though it’s extremely confusing until the end 😂❣️
OOOH I love it when you finally get to see how Gabriel takes over
14:08 BEST reaction in the video!!
43:56 😂🤣 _“My babies.”_ 💀
This movie was fu***** amazing 10/10 i had no idea who the killer could be lol
I find it hilariious how gigantic that house is on the inside compared to the outside shot lol
crazy head game I bet 💦
If you’ve ever seen Peaky Blinders, main girl here plays Grace there :)
This movie turned into a action film for a few minutes
This was one of the best experiences in the movies I had in recent years. Love this movie, so original, fun, creepy and surprising.
The girl who plays Gabriel is in the John Wick show The Continental and she is amazing!
I never expected to see a theratoma killing ppl in moonwalks and escaping in spiderman moves as direct or indirect consequences of domestic and s* abwse, but this movie gave me this and I'm glad for it
Bridget tearing up made me so feel bad 😫
I’m an Architect Professionally & can say in your defense you were right, the attic ventilation fan we see is 100% a commercial ventilation fan & it’s massive size would be for a massive commercial warehouse lol good eye , most homes don’t have attic ventilation fans, just the vents on opposite ends to push air through. Looking thru the attic vent we see it’s as big as the fan which definitely is not existing on the outside views we saw lol. I’m assuming they put it in to lead viewers to assume their in a commercial space somewhere becasue somebody has to sign off onband convince the set crews that they DO want this 5’ vent fan in this 120+ year old homes attic. lol guess it worked.m, I thought the same thing u did first time, the steep slope stick framed artic she was in told me she’s in an residential homes attic but the fan threw me off & I thought , no way set builders would put that rediculius fan in a turn of the century HoME. The reveal is worth it though.
From previews I was so stoked assuming it was a James Wann about a Sleep a paralysis demon , so excited someone finally did a horro on this common experince so many people have but nope. I do feel for James Wann though because he publicly told the media this was a completely different genre of movie thst he’s wanted to do for a long time, that he got the backers to sign off of letting him do exactly what HE wanted & said the campiness (sp) is 100% intentional and to be fair. The horror genius thst did literally the BEST horror movies ever very obviously took a completely different road and feel with this. The conjuring didn’t have 99’s keyboard “where is my mind” music and the soap opera dramatic lines throughout this. It’s a complete detour from his horrors he’s done so well on & clearly he knew that BUT the media didn’t get it, viewers expected a Conjuring level horror from the Master & most thought the weirdness was not intentional & just a bad movie becasuse they’re expectations were based on their wants. Relatively speaking , it bombed financially compared to the greats he’s done but it wasn’t about the money , he wanted to do this for himself , give it a try and I hoenstly think it’s fun , I enjoyed it , the twists are awesome but ilk admit i was orerty disappointed it wasnt the epic wann horror i assumed.
This was one of my favorite recent movies. I think it came out a few months before Barbarians and I really loved that as well. I wish more studios gave directors the option to make original films because this movie was a throwback as you said to the 80s, the leak of horror. It was campy, at one point it went full ninja assassin and it was entertaining. FYI, that chair toss across the police station had me screaming with laughter in the theater 😂
I love this crazy movie! Lol I remember telling people how good it was, but most people I know didn't seem to like it. This is one of the best reactions ever, I was crying laughing the whole time!! Lmao some memorable quotes from you two for sure! Thanks for the reaction!
Fun fact. The woman who has a crush on the half asian police officer is James Wan's wife who also co-wrote the screenplay LOL...
she's so hot lol.
I had a blast with this movie especially after a certain point when you realize what it's going for. I hope it gets a sequel.
That was so much fun to watch, your reactions were priceless, 🤣👍
I like to imagine the pitch meeting for this film be like: "I've seen a youtube couple that react to horror films, this will totally freak them out."
Brilliant, thank you for the laughs 😄
I love how you guys get so close multiple times :>
Hello, I know you're here!!...yeah :> Both literally and thats his base of operations hehe.
The Billy Loomis line and the mom impersonation GOT me 😂😂😂
You commentary gives off heavy Mystery science theater 3000 vibes 🤣
I truly enjoyed your reaction to this movie. This movie for me, broke a couple molds.
When I see the police station massacre, all I can think about is this quote: "After all, Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels."
Love this movie though! This was the first movie I watched after deciding to not watch trailers anymore, and it was a great decision! Movies that have a batshit insane third act are the best!
The woman with the mullet in the jail scene was Zoey Bell, who famously was Uma Thurnan's stunt double in Kill Bill, and basically played herself in Death Proof. If you guys haven't watched Death Proof, please do!
Also want to recommend Psycho Goreman, because while they're very different films, if you liked Malignant, you're most likely going to like Psycho Goreman.
Why did the sister keep reminding me of Crystal Bernard of Wings (90's TV sitcom)? Must be something in my brain...or my sister's.
10:51 the way I SCREAMED LMFAOOOOOO
"This is head trauma, the movie." xD
Gabriel's the reason she keeps having miscarriages.
This is a crazy psychological body horror thriller film!
I watched this 25 times on the DVR.
The prison fight third act is a masterpiece of camp hyper violence. I watched this movie in the theatre twice LOL
James Wan’s best movie by a country mile imo, even though I love most of his works. This one is just on a whole other level.
I love this movie. Unapologetic camp horror.
This movie is so fucking funny. I love watching it with people who haven't seen it

16:17 May is my nickname - I was doing a side task when I immediately looked up and around when you said “May” Cody 😅
Cody hasn't seen The Goonies? 🤯🤯
This is one of my faves. James wan is great. So camp do fun felt like films back in the day. Was in my top five that year. Love original horror in the midst of all these reboots and remakes. Such a blast
Bridget, I need to know about you and your thing with "Crawling " that was a quick snippet I can't stop thinking about.
The twist caught me completely off guard
I like this movie that follows the “once u reveal the monster it’s not scary anymore” movie ok hard turn from scary to comic book outrageous lol
She's going to prison? Did you watch the movie? It's absurd, correct? Umm, temporary insanity is an actual defense, and I think that Gabriel was somewhat of an insanity, and not her. Gabriel is her brother, so it really wasn't just her doing it. It was him.
No, for real! It's all in her head. 😂
I thought that this movie was creative enough which made it entertaining and it's a fun group watch.
Thank you for another amazing reaction!
Also, I'm officially waiting for a Goonies review!
Such a fun watch you guys! This movie is so insanely awesome, wish I could watch it for the first time again lol
They’re making a sequel to this and Lights Out
“Go back to drinking… drive a little”
I never normally would agree with this advice but in this case I’ll make an exception.
My favourite new channel loved the metal reactions
I'm sorry, but my OCD doesn't let me go past the fact that parasitic twins only happen in identical twins, it can't happen on fraternal twins because they don't share the same amniotic sac. That fucked up the movie for me somehow.
I know this is gonna be good before I even begin. I love your reactions ❤
there no longer in the basement nice!
I'm soooo glad y'all reacted to this!! Such a weird but fun movie
i just keep staring at the screen silver on the tv lol.
Favorite horror movie of all time
Have y’all seen Boogeyman 2023? I really liked it.
I enjoyed this movie cause this reminded me of those campy 80s horror movies I used to watch and enjoy
James Wan is the 🐐of horror movies
Loved this movie
This movie is weird and silly…I liked it! Lol
Doggo Bomb at 20 seconds!!! :D
Should rewatch it and do a Rate the Kills on it in the future. xD
I genuinely think this is the best horror film in the last decade
I was coming down from an lsd trip and this was on Tubi, decided to throw it on…big mistake… or was it hehehehe ❤ wild movie 🔥
My gf and I watched this one night while on acid, thinking it was something totally different. By the time the movie started we were peaking HARD... It went about as batshit crazy as you would imagine.
Totally underrated movie. Loved it!
I loved this movie but everyone I watched with hated it 😂
Do you recognize a future Ghostbuster?
Just realized the kid actress is lo and behold, McKenna Grace :D
Malignant is one of my faves!!!!
