Adobong Kambing, Estofadong Baboy & Leche Flan đ”đ | Trying Filipino Food in Elmhurst Queens
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 18. 10. 2022
- I went to Elmhurst, Queens to try Filipino Foods for the first time. Watch me react to adobong kambing (goat meat adobo) and try pork estofado (stewed pork knuckle with fried plantains). I enjoyed this comforting Filipino cuisine in New York. That is my first time trying goat adobo and goat meat in any Filipino cooking and I really enjoyed it. The Filipino Estofado was delicious as well. For dessert I try leche flan (Filipino Creme Caramel). This is one of the best Filipino restaurants in Queens and I highly recommend going as they offer turo turo (point point) style Filipino buffet. Go try Pinoy food, it's a new world to discover if you love trying new tastes!

Reggie Ate: adobo goat, Estofadong Baboy and Leche Flan
That Queens area is honestly legit authentic Filipino Food paradise... They arent trying to reinvent our filipino dishes but instead staying true to authentic Filipino recipes... We love it!. By learning filipino food you have found a way to communicate to filipinos in a dialect all filipinos understand... đ
I know! I love that it is not all fusion. Jersey too, they just make traditional dishes and cater to Filipino people. It is what makes New York great, restaurant owners donât have to break from tradition to cater to new markets. There are enough of a nationality to support the real stuff.
Leche flan is my favorite dessert! Sooooo sweeeeetttt!! đ€€đ€€đ€€đ€€đ€€
So comforting and delicious! What dish next?
As a Filipino thank you for loving our food, and showcasing the more odd ones that many Americans/westerners wouldnât try. If you havenât you should try diniguan, balut, and more!!! You ever support us by saying in the description to try Filipino food with the address of the place you went to.
Your descriptions of the different Filipino menus are so accurate! Thank you for appreciating our food đ„°
Have you tried the Philippine canned sardines in tomato sauce sauteed in onions and tomatoes and eaten with garlic fried rice and egg during breakfast?? Heaven!!
Hello Queens ready to taste the foods Guys đȘđâđ đ€ŁđŻâ€
Watching your videos eating Filipino foods makes my tummy rumbles.get hungry
Iâm haaaangry!!!
Haha sorry!
awesome!!! keep it up!
Thank you for appreciating Filipino dishes and seeing you enjoying them is heart warming. đ
And also cooking Filipino food isn't that so hard. It will be good if you can also cook it on your time and place.
Thank you for watching. What is a good dish to start with?
@@unculturedtravel Sinigang. I guess you know the veggies, and you can just buy the tamarind powder, because it could be difficult to find the tamarind fruit. You can either use pork, shrimp, and fish. Easy to cook, healthy and it's also a good hangover soup if you're a drinker. Also a good partner in cold weather. Well even if it's not cold you can still cook it and enjoy it.
basic chicken or pork adobo, you need garlic, vinegar, soysouce, bay leaves, whole blackpepper...you can watch youtube how to cook and i will tell you its very easy...
you prepare the tuyo and the champorado separately. you fry the tuyo, and put hot/boiling water to your instant champorado. when the champorado is cooked, you put evaporated milk. then you can flake your tuyo on top of it. enjoy!
Yum! I need to find a way to make this! Anything else you eat with it?
Wow so unique ulam goat adobo with creamy sauce hmm taste so good.â€ïž

Haha, I wonder what dish you can only get in PH! Probably proper whole Lechon Cebu!
@@unculturedtravel your jaws would drop with the variety of foods here. especially the street foods. it would be great if you can compare what you have tried there with what the actual country has to offer. im sure that the experience would be different. and to add, you will get a lot of interactions with the locals here, wherever you go. good luckđ„łđ„łđ„ł
I'm surprised to see thriving turo turo stalls there in queens. I thought most of the Filipinos live in California or Florida. I have never been to the States, i Wish someday i could. That would be on my bucket list
I like that you are going for the obscure things like papaitan and adobong kambing. I haven't seen you eat bulalo though, or dinakdakan. Looking forward to these on your channel. More power Reggie. Hope to see you in the Philippines not just doing food but also travel. Come visit us.
I have done bulalo and dinakdakan in previous videos but I must try again! What other dishes do you recommend?
adobong kambing definitely obscure. i've only ever seen goat in kaldereta and kilawin.
Very tasty
enjoy!
I did thank you! What dish or cuisine do you recommend next?
I do enjoy watching all your vlogs.. I always include your site in my Meta followers to visit all those videos.. đ
When you said, Andok is a rival of Mang Tomas, I burst out laughing. I just find the statement very funny.
Try the chicken inasal, sinigang na ulo ng maya-maya, enseladang talbos ng kamote, salted egg mashed in tomatoe and onions, for dessert try bibingka.

Thanks for this tip!
always take care my friend, i always watch your vlog
Thank you for watching, what dish should I try next?
GOAT dish is popular in the northern regions of Luzon like Ilocos and Baguio. Because goat meat is known to make your body warm. And these regions are colder in Ber months

What do you eat with it?
@@unculturedtravel most of the time, only by itself as dessert đ as you know, you can put in halo-halo as one of the ingredients (usually the topping) đ but i've seen some that uses it on different dessert fusions like on puto đ
@@unculturedtravel Leche Flan is a standalone dessert unless you use it as a topping for halo-halo

Awesome, goat meat is more healthy than pork... Traditionally, it is more preferred to muslim area here in the Philippines... But, many christians or catholic like me, i choose goat rather than pork but unfortunately goat and beef meat here is more expensive compare to pork . Happy eating. God be with u.keep safe always.đđ”đ
Thank you for the insight! What other way is goat meat prepared other than adobo?
man youre well cultured in filipino foods........i love watching you eat even though i was taught that watching someone eat is pathetic lol

You try cook in your home bro pilipino food for breakfast.freid hotdog freid toyo dry fish freid egg and freid rice..
You can also make adobo with vegetables like adobong sitaw, adobong kangkong(water spinach)
I would love to try that! What about squash or winter melon?
@@unculturedtravel yes you can even eggplant
@@unculturedtravel squash more often cooked w coconut milk. I've only ever had kundol as a sweet or a milktea flavor, never as a veg.
I don't know if other PINOY would agree with me but I usually eat the viand first then eat the rice. So that you can savor thae dish, then balance it with rice after. But you can eat it the way you want. No one's judging. Kain tayo! I agree eating with hands is amazing.
Cool idea! I may try in future! What do you like with Goat Adobo?
@@unculturedtravel that estofado reminds me of my grandma's cooking.... I like water buffalo more than goat meat tho, but yeah, I can see that you enjoyed it. I guess I have to try and cook for my self and my fiance a goat adobo. Goat afritada is also known here in PH. Cheers!!!
Man you gotta have more rice. That's very little for such a big chunk of meat. Whenever viands are that scrumptious and delicious, you really gotta take like 2 or 3 mouthfuls of rice.
I hope u can travel PHILIPPINES
One day! What region should I visit first for the best Lechon?

You should try to cook your version of every food you eat
I know I might have to cook a couple dishes to try them unless I go to PH!
Goat meat is rare to find sometimes, itâs always with bones on it though.
Yes! Lots of bones but lot of good meat around those bones! What is your favorite goat dish?
Great content but admittedly I get anxiety with the No-Fork situation you got going on. Happy that you're getting good at recognizing dishes!
Maybe because you are in the US, but Iâve never seen goat Filipino dishes.. itâs interesting.
