- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he made clear to Israeli leaders that the US is against a major operation on the city of Rafah and suggested "better ways" to address "the ongoing challenge of Hamas" during his visit to the Israeli port of Ashdood, 40 km north of Gaza.
