    If having chingri malaikari has gotten you bored, try this rich, spicy, and mouthwatering dish. It is a true testament to the flavors of Bengali cuisine. It will not disappoint.
    Made with prawns, garlic, onions, tomatoes, and a blend of spices, this traditional recipe from Opare Bangla (the other side of Bengal) is amazingly good.
    Chingri Macher Jhal is a treat. Usually made for celebrations, but you can enjoy it anytime. Give it a try!
    Recipe:
    500 gms of prawns
    1/2 tsp turmeric
    1/2 tsp salt
    Marinate and keep the prawns aside for 15 minutes
    1/3 cup mustard oil
    2 medium sized onions
    10 garlic cloves
    1 inch ginger
    1 tsp nigella seeds
    2 medium tomatoes chopped finely
    2-3 green chillies slit
    1/4 tsp turmeric
    Sugar 2 tsp
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1 tsp jeera powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    2 tbsp ghee
    Coriander to garnish
