    I missed something. Should I create a promotion code on my store before making this process ? if not, how google can apply a promotion that I don't allow on my store ? (shopify)

      Good question! Actual promo codes are managed on your website. Merchant promotions are simply a way for you to tell Google about these promotions.
      So any Merchant Promotion that you add in Google Merchant Center actually needs to exist in your ecommerce store.

      @@StoreGrowers That's very clear :) thanks a lot.

    Thank you for taking the time to make this! Very informative. How would you change the title of the promotion on a shopping ad? For instance, I have a free shipping promo going, but on some of the listings it reads "special offer" when I want it to say "free shipping." Thank you!

      You can't change this label. If it's a promotion, it will always say "special offer". When you see "Free shipping" listed in the ad, it's actually because shipping is free (always). Not because there is a promotion that gives free shipping. Hope that makes sense :p

      @@StoreGrowers It does! Thank you! :)

    Great! Can you also have an "evergreen" promotion showing and just change the date every day or week to create scarcity? For free shipping above a threshold for example?

    • @StoreGrowers
      @StoreGrowers  Před 3 lety +1

      If you continually create a new promotion, that should work.

      @@StoreGrowers Thanks! One more thing that is still not clear to me: If I sell the product 20% off on the website already (so let's say the sale price shows directly as $80, with $100 as a compared at price), can I set up a promotion with 20% off without a discount code? From reading the promotions policy I understand that wouldn't be approved, as the G Shopping promotion needs to be more valuable than what can be seen on the product page, is that correct?

    • @StoreGrowers
      @StoreGrowers  Před 3 lety

      @@cavallopazzo340 You could try to do that. But even if the promotion is approved, if the price isn't very different, it simply won't show in your ads.

    • @cavallopazzo340
      @cavallopazzo340 Před 3 lety

      @@StoreGrowers Thanks. The difference between sale price and compare at price is 25%. Meanwhile they disapproved it with the following code: No discount / Lower discount
      During testing, your promotion did not work as described in your titles - a lower or no discount was applied.
      So this means my plan won't work and I have to add an actual discount code to the promotion I guess?

    I am based in NZ, can I run promo here in NZ? I do not even have a Marketing tab in my Merchant Account.

    • @StoreGrowers
      @StoreGrowers  Před 3 lety

      Hi Adeel, unfortunately not. Merchant promotions are currently only available for Australia, France, Germany, India, the UK, Canada, and the US.
      That Marketing tab will appear only if you're opted into one of the available programs.

      There are a couple of thing you need to trigger that badge:
      - add sales_price attribute in your feed
      - have a discounted price that's at least 5% lower than normal
      - have the original price for at least 30 out of the last 200 days

    how will i control click spend is it through merchants center or straight google ads? please answer me i am confused

    • @StoreGrowers
      @StoreGrowers  Před 3 lety +1

      Google Merchant Center is just the place to manage your feed.
      Alles settings related to the bids and spend are done inside Google Ads.

      @@benzoww A couple of things can be happening. Check these:
      - products are approved
      - bids are high enough
      - no negative keywords blacking the products
