Holy shit, that Justice League trilogy info sounded so cool.
It sounds cool...but something tells me it would have been really tough to actually pull off...I mean MOS and BVS weren't well received as grounded superhero movies....going cosmic seems like an overreach that they weren't ready for. Maybe soon though

I tried to watch it again recently and while I sorta like the BVS directors cut justice league is almost unwatchable.
I think if they'd have released the ultimate cut of BvS to theatres instead of the theatrical cut we would of had a much better chance of Snyder continuing his vision.

I honestly agree with you Kevin. I am in my 50s now. Marvel comics got me through one of the most horrific childhood you can imagine! As a kid, comics gave me hope that there's some good in the world. Seeing it on the big screen is just awesome!!! I always wanted to write Stan Lee and say thank you 😞.
Having watched BvS in the cinema and then the extended version later, I can easily believe that there was a lot of good stuff cut out that would've improved Justice League if it hadn't been cut. The extended cut of BvS is better than the cinematic release so I don't doubt the same would apply to Justice League.

I saw Civil War and BvS just about a week, or so, apart.Loved Civil War. Never wanted it to end. About 40 minutes into BvS, I was impatient for it to be over already. I pretty much grew more and more annoyed from there. That summer, I watched the extended cut of BvS, at home, with my brother, who was visiting & wanted to see it regardless of my warnings. I remembered digging the score, so figured that would be my consolation until I fell asleep. It was amazing how much shorter the 3 hour version felt than the 2-1/2 hour. Seeing the way the plot unfolded, a few pieces at a time, from opposing perspectives, like origami opening up, driven, operatically, by what is, in my opinion, one of Zimmer's best scores ever, it seemed almost obvious, that the mess of an edit I had seen a few months before, had to have been deliberate. I'm still boggled that WB would spend all that money with Snyder, confidently telling the story in a way he'd clearly spent much time mapping out, then effectively castrate the end product in a way that rendered it exhausting and near unwatchable.

There is no goddamn Snyder cut, it's a false equivalency to compare Donner's Superman 2 with Snyder's Justice League. Donner's Superman 2 didn't require hundreds of millions of dollars in CGI animation to be watchable. Justice League would require so much more money to be pumped into a movie that is already known as one with the highest budgets ever that also flopped. WB is not going to waste the time and money on that. Plus the closest thing to a Snyder cut that actually existed was an extremely rough work cut of the raw footage, that had no CG and was missing key moments. Do you think any of the actors are willing to come back and film those scenes? Or that again WB would hire an animation team to coming in and basically remake a movie that already failed?
Also Snyder's original Justice League was meant to be a part one of two, and since DC is never going to make Snyder's Justice League 2, because his vision was vastly at odds with what DC is trying to do. What's the point in being an envelope fanboy and bitching about something that will never happen.
And contrary to Common wisdom do you know that hashtags don't actually do anything. So effectively all you're doing is throwing a temper tantrum like a little child.

@@ANIpJs you need to chill out bud. Youre spending waaaaay too much angry energy on youtube comments. You can continue to believe what you want to. That's alright. I do believe the snydercut exists. I do think a somewhat completed cut exists. Maybe not with absolutely perfect vfx but close enough. Jay oliva, ray fisher and jason mamoa have all said enough and zack snyder has hinted the same constantly. I dont think any key scenes are missing. Zack did say he shot everything he storyboarded. So there's that.
I dont know if the hashtag will lead to the cut being released. I certainly hope so. But even if it doesnt i'll tell you what it does do. It brings alot of fans together. It furthers a discussion about artistic independence and studio intervention. It definitely helps collect more evidence of all the scenes that were lost and all that could have been. But most importantly it helps raise over 60k for suicide awareness and prevention.
So maybe it might seem like a temper tantrum, but to me and quite a few others, it's alot more.

That's a "Snyder Cut" in name only. We didn't need those people to confirm the existence of that. They finished the movie without him. It's not a real movie unless he finishes it.
@@BuckDat i honestly think they might be referring to a somewhat completed version since we know there have been scenes with full cgi that were removed from the movie. We know that zack was working with the vfx crew after the shooting was completed and also he was there for the post production ADR. That being said, not only were scenes cut but so many were re-shot by joss which means that the original must still exist. And JunkieXL was fired very late in the game.
I dont know if the snydercut is so perfectly preserved and requires no additional tweaking. In all probability it does require some hopefully inexpensive improvements but whatever it must be would definitely be better than what we got. And for that alone i think the demand for the release of the snydercut is justified.

I love how people are always so quick to say the feel and tone of the OG Ghostbusters can never be replicated. Forgetting that The Real Ghostbusters cartoon (specifically the first two seasons) was created by an ENTIRELY different cast/crew, and despite the cartoonish moments, genuinely felt like Ghostbusters, because the showrunner and writers UNDERSTOOD the characters, tone and overall what actually worked!
Paul Feig just wanted to make a funny movie with women and call it Ghostbusters. Never once while (repeat) watching the 2016 film did I get the impression he was a legit fan, as opposed to someone who just liked the IDEA of GB.

I have a strong belief that if Snyder's full JL vision would've released with minimal to no tampering, it would've cracked a billion & possibly easy.
I believe BvS would've cracked a billion had it not been edited down from the director's cut. I think that's evident with the critical reception the Ultimate Cut received. No doubt the RT score wouldve been higher & a lot of the people who can't think for themselves & rely on RT would've paid to see it.
A movie finds its heart & soul in the editing room, drastic changes can be made. Think of a chunk of steel being melted down & pounded out into a beautiful sword. The chunk of steel is principal photography.
And whats even more drastic is that they reshot A LOT of Zack's material & slapped a green facemask on Henry Cavill, making Superman look like he got mauled by a chimpanzee. My god, for the love of these characters & the history of DC comics, RELEASE. THE. SNYDER. CUT!
Superman the movie(1978) was nominated for several oscars. But it received a special achievement oscar for visual effects. Techincally it was the first superhero film to be honored at the academy awards.

Black Panther wasn't even the best superhero movie of the year, much less best picture.
Glad the film finally got to be made, but what you said was the truth though. Aquaman and Avengers: Infinity War were slightly better movies. And i hated the overuse of humor in Infinity War but scale and stakes wise, it was a bigger film which had more drama and set up though. And the threat of Thanos was built up since the MCU's Phase 1. Black Panther was a great movie, but if it got to be nominated for an Oscar, then so should've Aquaman and The Incredibles 2. cos Black Panther sure isn't winning them with poor visual effects in its third act!

Black Panther is a bang average movie. I see it and am in no rush to watch it again. Like Dr Strange. Yeh it was okay. Enjoyed it, but I’m not madly buzzing to watch it again.

Black panther was just Disney's latest retelling of the story of kimba the white lion which they stole and remade into the lion king also. It's the same exact story and they also take place in Africa. Oh and they're gonna make another billion off the live action lion king that comes out.

In a world where Halloween and Terminator (and Alien as planned by Neill Blomkamp) are deleting parts of their canon and sequelizing the first one or two original films, this is my Batman Beyond:
- only "Batman" and "Batman Returns" exist ("Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" are ret-conned out)
- get Tim Burton to direct (more likely to get his originals back to work with him)
- Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne (obviously)
- Michelle Pfieffer as Selina Kyle has given up crime and married Bruce Wayne

Actually, an animated movie might also be feasible. They could definitely fork out the money for that. They DEFINITELY won't pump it out to finish the assembly cut. But an animated movie could definitely be done. The animated films of DC have an average budget of 3.5 million dollars. That's totally doable. And the studio wouldn't consider it a huge loss. If the DVD sales hit 5 million like Death of Superman did, then they'd at least make a modest 2 million profit.

The Batman Beyond story premise? Joker and Harley have a kid (Lucy Quinzel) that gains access to Poison Ivy's toxins, Bane's Venom drug as well as Scarecrow's fear formula. A bad combination of these substances cause her to go over the edge. She works in the pharmaceutical department of Wayne Enterprises and is Lucius Fox's replacement. The drugs cause her to go mad in interim fits which is why for a time the new batman thinks he can save her. There may be a budding romance in there a well to mirror the Batman/Catwoman trope but we all know what happens when you have sex with crazy.

As a science nerd myself and a super fan.. scientific terms themselves are rather second nature to utter and explain. So for instance, theoretical mathematical concepts are somewhat easier to convey.
