bro 400+ whp is nutty in a 1.6L civic, i would be insanely happy with that. shes gonna be rowdy now
Being part of the 400whp D-series club, I can tell you it's fun BUT definitely a rough ride. Besides sleeves and C.O.P., I had it all! SRP pistons, Eagle rods, copper HG, turbo cam, full valvetrain, OEM rebuilt dizzy, ram horn, Bullseye 60 trim, Quaife LSD large bearing trans, and 500whp axles. Ran E85 of course through an old school chipped/slotted P28 ECU with 1200cc injectors. Absolutely nothing better than sticking it to a massive V8 by telling them your 1.6L just walked them!

I love the side exit, and this build so much. I’d love to see that pipe cut to match the contour of the bumper now that you have a heat shield plate there.
The only Dseries I’ve seen making 500whp reliably is D-Serious on yt, dude beats the hell out of it it’s pretty quick 🔥
Was on racing channel as well. Raced a viper and walked it. Not maken 500 who yet I don't think. He was thinking 5353 cam and 35lbs
hey man just wanna say this gives me hope I blew up my first engine the other day it was my d16y8 but now im throwing another stock on in it and building the old one to go for a fast street build and this gives me so much hope for my car keep up the great work!

Hey Evan! Try an AEM water meth kit! My boss uses one on his hellcat and his iats on a 95 degree day at the track were only 104-105! Helps with cooling very very much!

You officially made me want to turbo my civic. Didn't think it would be worth it but after watching all your civic videos I see it can be worth it. Only problem is I gotta get another daily so while working on it or if/when it breaks down haha
sounds like you need a bigger intercooler and larger piping. I have a built D series that will be making well over 500 on E85 that should be starting soon. Same guy that built that motor built the motor that went bottom 8's at 170 in the fastest D series in the world.

You be surprised buddy wat these little bangers can handle n make several passes, I didn’t believe it either until I was proved wrong. Now I build them and been learning so much in the process.
Mine has 253whp naturally aspirated stock block , stock rods n piston just full titanium head block and skunk camshaft
What injectors did he max out with what fuel pump?

ive ran 30 psi on stock head with no lift or det with meth spray . it helps aton either have ethanol fuel or meth injection
Most power I've seen on a d series was actually a built D17A2 in a 05 sedan. Guy completely redid the car. Looked like a mini evo, had a color matched STI wing, carbon hood, ep3 seats....etc. Spent well over $20k on the car. Used to talk to him a bunch in the seventh gen civic forums. His dyno sheets were around 475wheel. Sadly it was hit by a truck about 5 years ago and totaled. Still have one of the pictures he had professionally taken when it was all together.

I have a question that nobody can seem to answer for me. If you have a civic D series that is reaching 500 hp have you or anyone else changed the bear block or can the block itself stay 100% stock. Because I had one machine shop. Tell me that I must cut out , the cylinders and put in new cylinders that are beefier and cylinder walls
400whp is very hard to do in a D series, anyone who says otherwise is wrong... BISIMOTO walks in LOL. Great power done on that D series turbo build!

i have a civic sedan y7 with zc full titanium headblock ,p28 chipped ecu , d15b7 intake, 70mm throttle , 550cc injectors , ebay fuel rail , tobei fpr , vms high flow fuel filter , 525 walbro hellcat fuelpump and 3"straigh exhaust system n ebay y8 header. :/ But N/A no turbo sadly for me

Look up D-Serious he's making over 500 on a D15B. He has dyno runs as well but much better turbo and setup. Oh amd he's using vitara pistons.

Stock j series +150 shot is a 10 sec car and pretty entertaining you should do it

When looking at a project like this do you have a budget or is it more like just get whatever parts are available and are going to give it more power. I have an 04 civic (d17 a1?) that I have been thinking about turboing for a while but haven't because I know it's going to be a very big project and I want to do it right the first time around. Been trying to soak up as much as I can so far and just get an idea on stuff price-wise so I can be saving up.
