I tried it wirelessly and wired and even bought a wifi booster. Save yourself time and hrs of frustration and buy a camera from a branded western company.
Even cheap cameras work great out of the box, but the key metric to consider when buying is longevity. Cheap infra-red LEDS always burn out, and rain and severe cold does damage them regardless of whether they claim to be weatherproof. If night vision is important to you, don't get a cheap camera. Best thing you can do is augment the weatherproofing yourself.
The problem with all these cheap camera's these days is that they work with an app on your phone giving away all your privacy but if you simply want to setup the cam on a local ip network and acces it with a pc, then it becomes very hard.
This camera has no zoom, so its not really a ptz, just a pt, but it also has audio and it has tracking, like if someone walks by it will follow them, very cool! Also I have it connected to my dvr security camera system, so it records to it instead of the cloud or sd card, only downside with this is it records 24/7.
I have this camera and it works just fine. It is Onvif and connects wirelessly to my NVR recorder without any issues. Having it powered from my garage means than I have not had to drill through walls. It does not have any fancy features such as optical zoom or iris control. The automatic tracking works but it will track trees blowing the wind etc.
I purchase one of these about 6 months ago and it died this week. Earlier today I tested it and found the camera board has a direct power short to ground. There are three circuit boards stacked together inside this thing, a camera board, PTZ driver board and a WiFi/memory board. The boards are marked SJG. I really didn't expect this thing to last more than 6 months when I bought it and I was right.

Thanks for your review...I just ordered a really cheap pan/tilt camera from Amazon for $17.99 CDN! When it arrives (IF it arrives - from China) let's see how bad it is!! Interesting that you pronounce 'Z' as 'zed' - as we do in Canada. Also, that the power adapter seems to have the same two prong plug as ours does, too...Cheers!

Another option... a coating of lithium grease round the edges of the TF card door and screw. Lithium grease resists big temperature changes, stays sticky, never runs, never cracks, easy to clean off with a dry paper towel, is super cheap for a large tube or tub, and because it's water and oxygen resistant it will stop the screw rusting shut. Just a tiny amount carefully applied with a fine art brush should do it. And a little dab round the bottom of the antenna wouldn't do it any harm either. I've seen this camera advertised as being IP66 rated (dust tight and can withstand powerful water jets). Absolute crap. It's IP52, at very best. IP66 is fit for high seas marine vessels. This would get destroyed in its maiden voyage if you strapped it to a boat above deck.

Hi, Thanks for your review. I have 3 of these and find them to be OVERLY sensitive. I put them on the lowest sensitivity level and still get constant notifications without any video.
You're not wrong. It's to do with the hardware and software technology limitations. Hardware: it does not have a PIR sensor, so it relies on the software to detect movement. Software: it simply isn't smart enough to tell the difference between human movement and random pixel changes in the image. To a camera, an insect/leaf/raindrop close to the lens is the same as a human further away, so it will translate this into "movement". I'm sure in time as the technology gets cheaper, we'll start to see budget IP cameras with better detection capabilities. I had a similar problem with a cheap "nanny cam" I setup to detect movement. The problem was, there were tiny power fluctuations in the IR LEDs which caused the picture image to blur, which it turn triggered the movement alarm. The problem never went away, even after putting it on the lowest sensitivity setting, so I turned off the motion detection alarm.
Please help. It worked perfectly first time. Then it stopped. I tried resetting it and making a new connection but now it doesn't want to connect to my WiFi. Keeps saying WiFi connection failed.

GREAT video! I have bought a lot of heap security cameras over the years and they all turned out to be junk but this one works like a champ. I have it installed high up on a telephone pole in a driveway and even in snowstorms, hurricanes and blistering heat up here in Canada it never skips a beat. I will say though it really really needs a strong WiFi signal to work well thus resulting me in installing a few powerline WiFi adapters to get a strong signal resulting in perfect conectivity.
GREAT VIDEO,, I would have liked to know more about the Cat-? wire connection, it is more than cat-5 or cat-6, as mine has 7 pins in the connector, guess I will have to search some more to find what cable I need..
I would highly recommend buying a Wyze camera if you're looking for a cheap camera that still has plenty of features and decent quality, only $20 - $30 too
Probably produces a better image than most security cameras put up by cities... Like you can see someone’s face and details as opposed to the horrible 240p quality of some city cams

Just wanted to warn anyone who will consider to purchase this camera for SD card only recording and without WiFi, i recently bought similar camera, but the phone app and cloud service was pretty the same) And my camera stoped recording to SD card about 24 hours after WiFi conncetion is lost. Also you cannot connect to camera directly fom PC by IP address, but only from cloud service website.
It means the cloud service/app developer has FULL control of YOUR camera. Lets face it almost every company in the world prabably has at least one corrupt/voyeour employee and its possible also listening to the camera?
well if its question of security, its a big lack to record only on the sd card and use their paid cloud with no guaranty than no one is watching behind the scene. I would recommend change the stocks parameters like ports on routeur and record directly on personal cloud/nas, this way u cut the direct access on cam from an external ip, keeping the record, live, ptz functions and more with a better secured peripheral. This works with all ip cam of world

Longevity? What is it like with sun exposure on the plastic. Does it start to crumble after a few months or is it good under strong UV conditions? Id be interested to hear peoples experiences.
Hi. My V380 pro wireless camera, but we work with cables for better and quicker response. After 6 months or more, we can't go into the camera, although it shows LAN online with camera id number. Tries to connect for a long period of time but doesn't connect.
The camera doesn’t deserve that name. The software is ycc 365, which divides for a week, then it is no longer possible to see what was happening at the colon at a time when we are not at home. It’s more of a toy than a serious camera.
You have to pay for a subscription in order to be able to view alerts or continuous recording. Or you can insert a sd memory card in the camera itself.

Do you have a teardown video that shows how I can reset my camera after the reset button broke off inside? I’ve had my camera for a couple of years and really liked it, but when I was resetting it one time the whole button pushed off and fell inside the camera. I opened it up to get the broken piece but have unfortunately misplaced it. I can’t see anything where it used to be that looks like a push to reset button connection. Any ideas? Thanks!
Thanks for a nice review! If you'd need to choose the best this type of ptz outdoor surveillance camera for let's say maximum 100$, which one would it be?
For under $100 I'm not sure since I only tested a few so far. I will test more cheap PTZ cameras this year. If you only need Pan function check out the review I did of the new Xiaomi IMILAB N2 camera. It cost around $50 but good build quality.

Hello! I want to ask. Why after a group of 2 - 3 days, after mounting the camera through the mobile app, the monitoring website or when it goes off, the connection of the camera is lost. Each time, I have to set up the camera from the beginning, as if I were installing it for the first time. This makes it useless to keep track of when I'm on the road. can it connect a NVR? since I don't like camera passing by using my wifi I have a wireless NVR it supports PTZ
Other people in the comment section said that the cloud storage is free for 6 months then you'll have to pay? is this true?
"hurricanes" and "blistering heat" in Canada, LOL.
I bought one and the motion detection following is horrible but I guess it'll be good to put in front of your door
GREAT VIDEO,, I would have liked to know more about the Cat-? wire connection, it is more than cat-5 or cat-6, as mine has 7 pins in the connector, guess I will have to search some more to find what cable I need..
Nice. I would get the next to cheapest. Thanks for sharing .
So it has been 2 yrs since you made the video I was wondering what your opinion of the camera is now ? How about about a follow up thanks
Good review. Thank you! It helps me a lot.
I would highly recommend buying a Wyze camera if you're looking for a cheap camera that still has plenty of features and decent quality, only $20 - $30 too
Chris W but it’s not a wireless outdoor cam
@@rinkfullofhighlights2960 I'm not sure what you mean... They use WiFi and mine have been running outside for almost a year with no problems

@@jovanbowser wyze.com
Probably produces a better image than most security cameras put up by cities... Like you can see someone’s face and details as opposed to the horrible 240p quality of some city cams
I got the Onvif wifi camera w/ no instructions or links. You should emphasize that mobile app a little better with a link or a close up of what the app looks like. I had to listen about 5x just to get what the app name was. 2:55 App store YCC365 PLUS
Does it make sounds and is there a camera all around it?
Still looks better than Walmart
That's not bad for a few bucks. How secure is the WiFi connection on it? I'd be worried someone could access the cameras remotely.
Hi. Very good information but how do I get the 3 cables into the house (brick built) do I just buy extender cables and a longer Ethernet cable. Any help please. No one gives the best ideas how to route the cables. Thanks all.
Some things from Aliexpress is Extremely worth getting especially for the pice it may be priced at...other things are a rip off and not worth getting... an interesting shopping experience for sure
what's the 3rd cable for. I know 1 is for the power, 2nd one for the ethernet, what's the 3rd cable for? thank you
It's the reset button.
@@Securitybros thank you
Hi, during installation wifi connection failed. What im doing wrong. 5 hours long trying to get it right! 🥺
Must pay the cloud service if you want to view it remotely outside local network.. beware
This works with all ip cam of world
@@Yo-ju1sr Most of the smart systems have no choice except to only subscribe to THEIR cloud service, meaning they have full access to your smart "clouded" systems.
eg you buy a smart system originating in say China, which forces you to use only their cloud service, meaning a rogue chinese worker manning its cloud services has full access to all your devices and possible relay footage to others
6:25 You caught a living spiral tube alien life-form!
He probably caught a moth. Quite common with night cameras.
@@robertfromcalifornia4111 I was joking.
HEH HEH HEH... NOTICED THAT TOO.....
Longevity? What is it like with sun exposure on the plastic. Does it start to crumble after a few months or is it good under strong UV conditions? Id be interested to hear peoples experiences.
I reset the cam but the QR Code already not readable. I also forgot the Cam ID.....How could I use this cam once again?
Based on your test review what are the best outdoor PTZ IP security cameras? Can you please recommend what brand.
Quite nice review video, informative.
So how do you install? I mean I want yo put out side why do I need power pack
Thanks for the review. I think I’ll spend a little more money for a better one. But for the money works pretty good
This need a cable. Or. Don't need to. Connect to a cable? Thanks
How would I put the loud alarm off, please. It drives us mad

Any ideas? Thanks!
Maybe this can be of help to you : czcams.com/video/XiTa9S41SVc/video.html
Thanks for a nice review! If you'd need to choose the best this type of ptz outdoor surveillance camera for let's say maximum 100$, which one would it be?
For under $100 I'm not sure since I only tested a few so far. I will test more cheap PTZ cameras this year. If you only need Pan function check out the review I did of the new Xiaomi IMILAB N2 camera. It cost around $50 but good build quality.
Do you know any other APP then ycc 365?
hey Securitybros greetings from Ecuador i got a questions. Its this camera compatible with cctv witch i could record in a DVR?
Hello, great video!
I have a different camera but it works with the same app, the thing is that the joystick it's not working (it didn't appear when I set up the camera) and I don't know what to do
5:23 is there people focking in the background???
It's a saw lol.
its clearly two robots playing cards.
Barry McNamee Again, they don’t lubricate their springs... so annoying
I have a question for the camera experts, is it possible to set up an IP camera to broadcast to the internet directly through a wireless router without having to go through a PC first? Would like to put a camera on my Weather Underground profile but I don't want to have to have a computer running 24/7
@Blair Aquilia is there any information on how to set one up with no PC present ?
Thanks
Good review. Very useful info...thks
Glad you liked it
Damn I heard bed squeaking in the background
Haha I just thought it sounded like sawing
Sawing, presumably metal.
Give me some solution to fix this problem.
i will fix it contact me ....
lemme guess if I'm correct. that place is in the Philippines by looking at the design of the houses, the electrical system it really look like the Philippines.
Great video. Do you consider its video quality good enough for zoom meetings? can it be controlled from a laptop?
Pretty good value. Thanks for the video
I was wondering, can you also access this camera remotely when not on the wifi for example? I want to buy a camera for my house in Spain which I can access from abroad. Maybe you can tell me or give me tips👌🏽
this camera support optical zoom, not only digital zoom, please check here: czcams.com/video/EkvhJwy4HX0/video.html
get a tuya camera, you will find many on aliexpress. with these you can access them from anywhere and they are cheap
Im wondering if you could use ethernet cable for this.
I have 2 of these cheep cameras they stopped rotating after one year any suggestions I have reset several times but still no rotation only up and down
