I’ve had this camera since probably when you first posted this video, but I didn’t have a booklet inside to know what app to go to or anything and so I screenshot the scan sticker on the side and it just takes me to google and doesn’t do anything, but the thing is loud it has talk to me, but I’ve never found an app or a way to view what it films And you didn’t show the booklet or what it was. I would appreciate it. If you could let me know how I can set this up and my iCloud storage is full anyway so I don’t know if this is even gonna work.
So for exterior my house i was using some what i thought was cheap bulb cams (ycc365plus) and had to cover them with hoods to be outside. Like said in video they obviously aren't water proof. And bought these to fit hoods better. One is one a antenna on low roof 12 ft high and cant even see the ground at night with ir on. Or when i flip the lights on. During the day the green grass shows brown. I can't zoom(blow up a spot on my phone) other than the full screen view on the app any. The direction controls dont work on full screen view. Had to add widi access points in the attic just to connect. And yes the antennas are very fake and allow water in. Found a pcb zigbee antenna inside. My two were cheap 6 dollars a piece but i like the size and the directional gears are better than my bulb cams that stripped. I may frankenstein them.
I'd love to know what app works best with them?
VI365 is not it.
I'm hoping that one day I will be able to add it to any program so you can choose your own favorite however it's a struggle at the moment.
Ive got a couple of these and am not having the issues you faced. Im using the V360 Pro app on Android. Both of my cameras (purchased from different suppliers) connected without issue, and I've not experienced any slowing down of the software when installing cards in them either. I switched them from HD to UHD and the image quality improved, and Im able to view the video records easily too.
The only issue I have is that Im trying to add them to Agent DVR on my PC and cant find a password the cameras use.
Overall, for the price I paid I cant complain.
I've had intermittent issues which seem very strange and I think their camera by camera problems. I think for their price they are great but there are a few issues. I found no way of connecting them to any other software other than what they are designed for as I can't find the IP address or password
@@TheOffGridFamily I agree... Using the V360 Pro app it gave me the IP address (which I confirmed via the router) but the lack of a password appears to be the issue
@@RichardHorsfield I tried a lot of things and a few of my friends who are much smarter than I am tried to back with the engineer the cameras but had no luck. If they can't do anything about it I definitely can't... I know my limits
Also interested if there is a hack to add the camera to Agent DVR?
@@clyderasmussen3678 I've had no luck so far. If I work something out I will make a video
Do you have to leave it plugged into a usb or power adapter? it cannot be wireless?
That's my troubles I'm having, I take the cord out and it goes offline.
I dont want to create a power port for a security camera to stay active.
Yeah they get their power from 5 volts. I was thinking about making a solar powered version with the battery backup but I haven't got around to it yet
Hello, any ideas how you can set this camera up so it only records when it detects motion. Mine is recording something every minute.
There is often an option in the app. I can't remember with this one though. Sorry
Just (in the last 1/2 hour) been given one of these as a birthday gift! My only problem is... i wont pay for cloud storage and the junkies in this area are likely to jump the gate and steal the microSD card out of the camera! HAHA!
Yeah the cloud storage is massively overpriced. I also wouldn't trust it.
Could you hide the camera some how?
@@TheOffGridFamily Might have to build some kinda cage thats attached to the wall of the house maybe. I want it facing directly at my front gate, but my house is small, so not a lot of external surfaces to conceal it either. i wish i could.
@@YourOldUncleNoongah what about making some kind of birdhouse? Then putting the camera inside there? I don't trust please cameras they say they are waterproof but I doubt it!
@@TheOffGridFamily EXCELLENT idea! I think thats what imma do! Thanks my friend!
@@YourOldUncleNoongah awesome 😎
Any idea if there is room inside to mount an ESP32-CAM microprocessor board. Then you can control the cam as an IP camera and also program the movements. Not certain about the audio. OR, can we hack into the existing Hardware to reprogram it...?
Perhaps replace the main chip or what ever processor is inside. Anyone had one of tbese apart yet ???
I haven't taken one apart yet. I will in a future video though. I've spoken to a few people that are much more intelligent than me and they are having problems backwards engineering the cameras. If you know anyway to make these more useful please comment/get in touch
Hello. Can i ask how much does the app cost to set up the camera?
That's a good question but I can't remember off hand I thought I'd said in the video to be honest but maybe I forgot. I do remember there were different options like subscriptions. The price was higher for different members of cameras and different features.
2:36 lol
Power?
Whats the app called
it's called YI IoT
Do you have a listing for these cameras, i'd look into reverse engineering if i had one in hand
I will find the cheapest one I can because there's many sites that sell it. I will leave the link below this comment. I knew some of my subscribers were super intelligent 🙂
Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! £9.27 66%OFF | 2MP 3MP Wifi IP Camera Outdoor Wireless Security Surveillance Camera AI Human Tracking Two Way Audio Night Color Cam
a.aliexpress.com/_mOIyvKw
That's the cheapest I could find but if you look around various Chinese sites you will find they often have sales on this item. I look forward to seeing your results if you get around to it. Good luck my friend 🙂
Can i just put an sd card in it.and let it record on the sd card? I dont have wifi.i have mobile data
I'm not 100% certain but I don't see why not. The best I can suggest is just give it a go. I would test it for you but I'm unable to at the moment
I bought one recently , my question how do I see the IP address I cannot see it on my router.
It's hidden by default but a subscriber has possibly worked it out. Hopefully a vid is going to be released soon (if I can Sort it)
I have a camera that use to record to my phone but they cut that out with a update that dose the same as this, now all I wanna do is hack them as you did with yours.
These are incredibly hard to hack they are designed as such. I've had a few people talk to me about it but between us we haven't managed it yet. If and when I do I will release the tutorial
I have bought 2 of this cameras from temu...keep having the same problem WiFi connection fail...
You may want to send them back to temu for replacements.
@@TheOffGridFamily@funpixy yes, same problem
I suddenly thought have you guys got routers that can run on 2.5 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz? I just recently upgraded my router and had to mess about with my other IP cameras/router to get them to work properly
@@TheOffGridFamily not sure, will check it out tho
@@Heroz-45Did it work?
How many devices can you connect with cameras 📷
Great question. I haven't found a limit. There's been at least five or six items connected at once.
Hi what’s the app name?
YI IoT
What is the name of the app?
The one that they advised me to use was HiCam (HiCamPro is a paid version but I've not used it)
The one I've used for years is IP Cam Viewer by Robert Chou. It's simple but full of useful functions
Camhipro will work and its free
Explain?
@@TheOffGridFamily I use it on many types of camera including tapo it works with cameras that use a digital tone burst and ones that need a qr code
Oh I read what you wrote completely wrong lol. I had CamHi but I didn't like it. I can't remember why though. Perhaps I'd read something? Who knows 🤔 how are you doing buddy?
I can't get my cameras to connect to the app at all
I'd speak to the seller. It maybe that they are defective
Seems my comment was deleted - probably a spam filter not wanting URLs - I have a working rtsp stream url if you haven't found one? Bought the camera yesterday to test for our office.
do you have username and password for it? Or way to reset it?
Hey there, it's funny because I responded to you and mine disappeared too. There is a filter for url's but I control it...strange. That's great. We have played around with them but not got anywhere! Do you want to send me an email to explain the process (theoffgridfamily@gmail.com)
Thanks for the comment
@@zrre Mine was defaulted to admin: - I didn't bother setting a password because its on its own VNET whch doesn't have internet access.
Dont have any problems other than i waist3d money on cloud cause it dont wanna record and safe in cloud..
I'd cancel that as soon as you can and if you add an SD card it should be able to record directly to the camera
So do I need a card in it to keep it recording? Why does it stop recording when I leave the app? Even looking at the settings within the app , it stops recording?
I don’t get it !!
Please help
Yeah I think you will need an SD card in it to allow for recording unless you sign up to the cloud
@@TheOffGridFamily
Thanks … but I subbed for a year at 25 quid, then an additional minimum of 4.99 for the month , still won’t stay on record. No wonder it took me 3 days to get it out of the box.
Knew it would be like this .
Really frustrated as have trespassers last four times I’ve left my home (neighbours)
I’ve got to get them on a camera. This is a disastrous start :/
I can imagine buying a card and it still won’t stay on record. It must be something simple I’m not doing correctly.
Dude, there’s got to be a camera out there or two, ones that don’t require subscriptions at all and are affordable. I bought one seven years ago. I just can’t find it’s cable. It’s not like these cables, and I didn’t need a card in it either.
right, I would cancel the subscriptions immediately and invest in a good SD card. I don't think these cameras are any good in direct weather even though they say they are so Id build a little "bird box" for them. I am happy to help you in any way you need. I honestly think you could do with an SD card. Would you like to email me with any questions you have? I will help you if I can
Mind don't come on when plug in
Send it back my friend
