Nice runs!! Keep it up.
Thanks man 🤙🏽
Can't wait to see what she does!
Nice video, great to see the dragy. I have to wait till April for our tracks to open.
Thanks! Yeah the dragy is definitely a handy tool for the track
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bro, can’t wait to make this time faster!
Sweet ride
Thank you! 😈
Am I the only one here who thinks the N looks cool as a sedan and not so much an suv?😂
I wish we had a prepared drag strip here.. nice video man!
Best I had is 9.38@ 78 mph with my Elantra N line 1.6T . Should be able to get better on a prepared track.
Keep it up
Yeah it’s definitely a blessing to have access to so many drag strips here. Hopefully you can get to one soon
But the n line isn't really fast??
@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 its not cuz a car dosnt make 5 second ¼ mile that you canot enjoy it.
Wow sick numbers so far! Can't wait to hear what those guys in Mexico get after what they did to their Kona 😂
Thanks! Yeah they’re probably running close to the 7s haha
Good run. I miss being in the car scene
Thanks! You should definitely hop back in, fun hobby to have
@@KonaNthusiast You're welcome. I would, but I no longer talk to the same crew unfortunately, this was 15+ years ago after all
We have an import face coming in March and I’ll be FBO with piggy back and it’ll be 1/4 mile so I’m very excited to see how it does. Best so far before the intercooler, turbo inlet and piggy back was 13.36 @ 106mph so it should definitely see mid to high 12’s.
Nice! Which Import face off are you going to? I’m going to the rockingham event. If you have intercooler, you should be able to do low to mid 12s. I ran 13.2 stock, curious to see what I’ll get in the 1/4 mile as well
It’ll be at Gulfport drag way in Mississippi, I’m gonna run without the programmer for a couple of runs and then see what it does with it turned on, should be fun 😁
@@larrysilverman2099 nice!! I’m jealous haha I’m originally from Mississippi. I’ll be down there the first weekend of April
Oh cool, where you gonna be? Would be really cool to meet up somewhere and get some good pics and vids, grab some food somewhere, whatever.
@@larrysilverman2099 I’m gonna be in the Jackson area. Unfortunately I’m flying down there, but next time I drive my car there we should definitely meet up
Sub 5 sec 0-60mph👍👍
Yup! I’m having issues with my boost falling off in the upper RPM range, so once I get that figured out, should be 4.5-4.7 seconds
@@KonaNthusiast do you think it's in the tune🤔
@@klasseact6663 oh nah, I installed an intake system on Wednesday night and one of the couplers came in the wrong size, so it’s causing boost to drop a good bit in the upper RPMs. I just received the new coupler so I should be good from now on
@@KonaNthusiast who's intake🤔
@@klasseact6663 sxth element
Very nice runs. Try using your oem Denso coil packs, I personally think they are better than the MSDs. At what gap are your plugs?
I may try that. Ive heard that the denso coil packs perform better but MSDs are more reliable. But I believe my plugs are gapped at .024
@@KonaNthusiast Either company, or any other, can have a bad apple or two. But huge companies like NGK & DENSO will always have the lead in technology that most others will follow. Is why they are trusted by so many manufacturers as oem ..at least for ignition. Not saying that all aftermarket performance parts are bad though. Personally think your gap is good there. I have mine at .025
Plus, if one of the MSDs goes out, you'll probably need a whole set. This ebay seller "CNS Motors" sells all authentic oem parts and has the original coils around $40 each.
Not bad. But those numbers seems to Match my stock numbers with intake and bushings. 8.6 @ 85 mph.
That’s impressive for stock. I was having issues with boost on the upper end of my rpm range due to my recently installed intake being installed with the wrong sized couplers 😩 that is being fixed tomorrow.
@@KonaNthusiast yeah i never realize it was that impressive. since i wasn't paying attention to the 1/8. think you might need better tires since you are pushing more power?
@@NBABY-J right and nah I think the tires are really good actually, especially considering it was 55 degrees and light sprinkling rain. I just feel like that issue with the intake coupler is really messing with my boost, each of my logs showed a 4-7 psi drop after 5k rpm 🫢
@@NBABY-J right 😩 it should be pulling 22-24 psi, it’s only holding 16-17 psi
@@KonaNthusiast damn! That explains a lot. Might be a leak or worst the turbo going bad? Waste Gate? Might want to get that checked out.
What elevation are you? I was able to pull a 8.2 in the 1/8 with jb4 map 6 and intake only. If you want some solid performance you should sell the jb4 and get a n75 stage 2 ecu. That was my next step and what a difference. Nice vids!
I’m not sure of the elevation, but like I said in the video, the issues I had on that night were related to boost. My intake had an incorrect coupler for my inlet. I have an updated video coming out soon of it does at the drag strip. But yeah I’m trying to get ECU tune one day, but I’m in no rush. I’ve raced my friend’s EN with stage 2 ECU tune and I kept up
@@KonaNthusiast no doubt. The jb4 is a good tool for sure. What you gain with the ecu tune is octane learning is always maxed out so you can full performance at all times. The jb4 unfortunately doesn’t override octane learning
@@Talaria567 that is true, that’s definitely my main gripe with JB4. Whenever I’m octane learned it’s way faster but I usually don’t ever get a chance to octane learn here because of traffic
How much whp you think it’s pushing?
My guess is 345 whp with the mods and custom tune that I have. I just hate that I can’t see that reflected on the drag strip yet
what tires are you using?
Firestone firehawk Indy 500s
Even with your tune wonder if a peddle commander would help a little.
It may, but I feel like it may cause more wheel spin
