    Sorry to say this, but AOE will happen a smart move on Isayama to make us lose hope. Can you do the scene again bro? We saw Mikasa from chapter 138 and then what we saw was not Eren chapter 138 We saw Eren manga from chapter 1 If you focus on Eren it is clear that he looks young and does not have the signs of transformation from chapter 138 and the place where he is is sitting near the tree, not in the hut. So Mikasa chapter 138 picked up Eren from the manga, then we see Eren waking up in the anime with the same scene as the first episode of the anime and with the same words. If he wants an editing studio he can also edit the words because they are important but if there are no timelines how Eren sat near a tree in the beginning and when he woke up he was lying down think about it because Eren in the manga saw memories of chapter 138 but Eren in the anime now saw memories From chapter 138 with memories in the manga but the memories overlap each other like what the song says under the tree, the memories overlap each other and wreak havoc, so we saw how Mikasa from chapter 138 manages to capture Eren in the manga, and we saw Eren's awakening in the anime. Thus, we can say that since Eren saw the memories of the manga and island destory because of his trust in his friends, the ending will finally change. This is an AOE victory.

      How can Eren know that Paradis will be destroyed? The Attack Titan can only see memories from the future holder of the Attack Titan, not the future itself. At the time paradis gets destroyed there is no Attack Titan, thus no memories. Eren can only see the moments until he gets killed.

      But.. the mikasa has a red scarf? And aside from that the chapter 138 scene that was supposed to be in the dream scene like y’all aoe were saying, wasn’t... therefore aoe isn’t happening. It’s funny how those theories were wrong tbh because they sounded ridiculous in general.

  • @agen00
    @agen00 Před rokem +25

    I think this further proves AOE. The episode starts with eren against the tree resting in the same way he died in the cabin timeline. Mikasa holds his head the same way he died in the manga and the same way she held his head in the cabin timeline (what we saw in chapter 138) then it cuts black. Then it switches to eren laying on his back (just like the episode 1 anime version) and it continues without any differences. The song used in this episode also says, “don’t mess the memories.” I think it’s very interesting that somehow eren switched sleeping positions. If you rewatch the first episode of the anime there is very clear emphasis on erens head as he is laying down (representing the gravestone where erens head is buried) but in the manga eren is in the same position as when he died in the cabin sequence. I think AOE is hinted as Isayama himself has stated that other timelines are canon.
    Edit: I think it’s important to note that in the cabin sequence in chapter 138 eren died peacefully. Then in chapter 1 Eren is in the same position and wakes up peacefully. Eren died in the manga violently and in the beggining of the anime he woke up in a abrupt fight or flight manner. To sum it up. Everytime eren dies mikasa creates a new reality where he lives. This also explains why mikasa has this drive to protect eren. What’s also really interesting is that the dream eren had in episode one of the anime. We can see toys. Almost as if Eren knows what to focus on so he doesn’t die. Maybe we might see something with Historias Child coming into play in the finale.

    !!! SPOILERS !!!
    I would say, with regard to this possibility of there not being any AOE, that there was still a heavy discussion within the anime itself about the different timelines. From that one episode where Eren stood before the tree, he saw many different timelines before his eyes. One was the Highschool timeline, one was the timeline where all the men were chilling in a sauna, and one timeline included Mikasa with her black scarf. The only thing with that one is that, she turns to the right instead of the left, which signifies, even more, that the Mikasa with the black scarf is in a different timeline.
    Continuing this discussion on timelines, when looking at the start of the S4.P3 1/2, we see that there are three different shots. One with Mikasa reaching out towards Eren (with us looking through Eren's POV), one at a side angle where we see Mikasa's hands gently cradle young Eren's face, and the final upshot where we are Eren's eyes again looking up at the tree in a laying down position. The first two scenes have the words "See you later, Eren" over then because they are connected (as we know). However, with these two scenes, one is with an older Mikasa wearing a different white shirt (the same white shirt in the manga during the cabin scene) and the next shot is the young Eren resting against the tree, like how manga starts. After the sentence ends, Eren's eyes open to him looking up at the tree that is towering over him, very much in a laying down position.
    To continue with that scene, everything for the most part is frame for frame as the beginning of the entire series. Mikasa turns to the left and looks over to Eren to ask why he's crying and then we see Eren before getting a sweeping shot away from him towards the sky. Another way to prove that there was an older Mikasa reaching out to Eren, rather than the young one, was the difference in hair length as well. When she's reaching out to Eren, her hair is shorter (just touching the top of the scarf) compared to the young Mikasa who's hair is much longer (reaching beyond the end of the scarf).
    !!! MY THOUGHTS !!!
    Mappa has been very particular with the details that they show within the animations they produce, so I honestly wouldn't want to consider a lot of their details as sheer coincidence unless they come out and say that themselves. With the amount of emphasis that one episode had where Eren was shown all the timelines before coming to the tree, I believe that there is something more to the equation than Isayama simply wanting to toy with his audience. Honestly, AOE is something that I like to believe because I would find it so incredibly cool if this was something that Isayama had considered from the moment that he wrote the show. I know of his inspiration from Muv-Luv, so that really heightened my excitement of potentially seeing it. Although, I never gave up on the idea that we could all be side swiped and are instead shown the manga's ending instead. I'm truly exciting on seeing how everything will turn out in Fall. Let's see where things take us.)

    Isayama said he wanted a different ending. Even if it's still the same (Eren dies, rumbling stopped, etc) overall events, he wanted to flesh it out more. It *will* be better. I'm not saying we're gonna get a full brand new AOE plot like the ANR Ending or some of the fan endings, but Isayama will change stuff and expand on certain things - because he himself was dissatisfied.
    Even if it follows the manga, it will still be different.

    I'm really sad this part basically told us the AOE isn't going to happen, not that i hated that much the ending on the manga, but the plot holes, plus so many stuff not making sense, plus the inconclusive ending makes me sad, i hope they at least explain some of the holes in the story in the next last episode.
    I have a habit of judging the anime not only for what it gave us but also the ending, and thats the only thing keeping this franchise from being my all time favourite.
    Nonetheless Praise the Anime and the author for this masterpiece.

    • @Rosie-fd1fn
      @Rosie-fd1fn Před rokem +2

      don't praise the anime. it kamikazed itself. right now in the anime were suppose to be rooting for the people on the fort to live, reiners and annies parents. this story is so tone death. they get happy endings but other characters they wished to slaughter dont, the scouts and kids defending their homes from giant cannibalistic monsters and got eaten alive in the process. fuck their wills. fuck them wanting their little sisters to live a long life, because they get bombed after 80 years and they have to watch their own kids be destroyed too (referring to paradise being nuked in the manga)
      it's not just like "that's how life is, sometimes you can't save things but at least you tried". first off, bad story telling just to save a shitty ending. secondly and more importantly, eren DID have everything. he had the rumbling, and as horrific as it was it was the ONLY option the story presented us with that paradise wouldn't be destroyed. a bittersweet and horrific kill or be killed story. not just because killing is cool and fun, but they had no other choice to ensure that their kids would live. which they didn't. they lived for a few extra years then get carpet bombed because eren dropped the ball

But yeah i Share the Same opinion as story wise. This could have been much more but instead he opted for the never ending cycle (as seen on the last chapter of the maga aka the tree sceene) i trully belive he rushed the ending and this wasnt exacly what he planned, but wanted to put an end to the series and at the Same time leave us readers thinking what comes Next. I think he Didnt achieve any of it. We are left with an unconclusive ending and massive plot holes.

    The intro seems to hint at 3 timelines and also are we going to forget about the berserk titan that was teased?
    Also the dialogue is still widely different and there is missing dialogue and the ed looks to be Eren walking.
